Gameplay is split between talking to townspeople and performing a variety of quests for them, prostituting, and combat.
Progressing through quests (and the game as a whole) usually involves fetching or finding items, talking to the right NPCs, solving environmental puzzles and riddles, or fighting enemies and bosses in fairly simple RPGMaker combat, with CR and GoR. There are many side-quest-lines to follow each with one or more associated scenes, and prostitution is a major feature, dependent on the MC's "lewd level" to access more scenes.
Enemies are found wandering the map, instead of random encounters. You can get sneak attacks by walking into them from behind.
In combat, all of your attacks are actual skills that require the use of TP, found in the first option in the battle menu. TP is charged with the second option in the battle menu and through some select skills. You can attack as many times as you want until you use the second option to charge TP. The opponent then gets their turn to attack. All of the skills have a primary, secondary, and tertiary effect that occur by chance, meaning the primary effect always activates, but the second and tertiary may activate by chance. These effects could include stunning the enemy, getting TP back, getting a chance to attack twice, etc. The third option in the battle menu allows you to use temporary stat boosting items, like elemental cards. The fourth option is an auto-death. On death, you don't game over, except in select boss fights. You just get brought to one health and are brought back to the stage, allowing you to fight again or run away.
AP is your armor health. As you get hurt, the armor breaks. Some enemies have the chance to do H attacks when your AP gets lower. Your character portrait changes at 75%, 50%, 25%, and 0% armor.
There are elemental strength/weaknesses as well, which necessitate the use of swords with different elements or elemental cards to resist and deal more damage.
