Guten Tag,
this is my first thread and I only bothered coming out of lurking because I couldn't stand the thought of this - in my opinion - pearl of a game not being discussed on ULMF.
Kamidori Alchemy Meister AKA God Catcher Alchemy Meister:
A VN/turn-based RPG game made by Eushully, KAM centers around you being an Alchemy Apprentice, with in this game Alchemy being a mix of several crafts+adventurer. After the mysterious death of your parents a year ago, you are now compelled to move up the ranks in the guild and get a grip on your life again.
By chance you team up with a mysterious tsundele swordswoman, a calm elf hunter/healer and an over-the-top little magician that kinda looks Loli but isn't (I think?).
Of course there's way more than that, after all the game comes with a whooping 4,6 Gb. However, the CG are all beautifully done, the voice acting (female only) descent quality and the story... well, I can't say anything about that myself yet since I forgot to save and have to replay the last 2hrs first.
I generally heard only positive things about it though.
A more professional game description as well as some screenshots may be found here:
Also take note of the translator's blog (also more screenshots) here:
The was a complete english translation done only recently. You have to install and patch the game first, though.
Here's how to:
First, download and mount the DVD image of the main game, its 26 .rar files and you should have Japanese Region settings already, since you have to patch the game later!
Then, you will have to apply the three patches/expansions/whatever in the order listed (IMPORTANT!), they're CD images as well. Mount the image, scroll down and click on either Internet Explorer or Firefox - so you should probably use either of them for this one - then click "Run" and "(Moonspeak for "OK").
Once you got that done, it's time to apply the translation patch. Here's the kicker: The translation patch uses a modified game executable, which of course will alert your antivirus program. If you count yourself to the unlucky fools that use Avira, it will delete the new .exe file without further notice and you will have to install from scratch. So better deactivate your Antivirus temporarily.
The translation patch can be located here:
Unpack it into the game folder before executing.
PS: If there is an issue with the Antivirus going off and me not having posted much yet, it would be great if one of the more "well-known" members could check it out? Thanks in advance!
EDIT:
