Nadia's day began like many other: she awoke with a nasty hangover from fermented fruits from the local farmer, and vague ruminations of Kovan betting her a blowjob that she couldn't beat him in a foot race; since she didn't have a foul, salty taste in her mouth, she figured that must have been a bet she won.

Straying into the village center, she realized most people weren't there; only the children seemed to be. Stumbling around, she finally made it to the Chieftain's hut, where most of the Descendants and Villagers had gathered; she hastily shoved her way to the front of the small crowd, ready to hear of the new dangers awaiting the village...

Re: Forever Proud (xivvix)

With a yawn that turned into a groan of pain halfway through, Nadia shielded her eyes from the sun streaming into her hut. "Gods, why didn't I get dad's ability to ignore hangovers?" she whined to no one in particular as she sat up and reached for her flask to take a quick nip of the dog. Only a few drops fell out onto her waiting tongue, and she grimaced in annoyance. 'Damn farmers,' she thought, scowling as she threw the flask against the wall, 'spend all their time playing with flowers instead of making sure I've got enough wine.'

As she thought about the taste of fruit that was missing from her tongue, Nadia realized there was another taste absent as well. She laughed maliciously as she realized that she must have won yet another bet against Kovan. They had raced from one end of the farmer's fields to the other, and if she had lost, she was to give the man a blowjob. But her mouth tasted fine, which meant she had won. 'Like always,' she thought proudly, her godly heritage making sure that a lowly human like Kovan could never match her abilities. She would have to find the man to make sure he upheld his end of the bargain, rolling around in the farmer's pig slop after losing. That would make sure not a single woman, or beast, would lay with him for a whole week. Unless he had bathed, which Nadia suspected he didn't.

With two goals in mind now, checking on Kovan and finding something to drink, Nadia sprang to her feet and got dressed. Of course, being the daughter of a god, Nadia was blessed with an unusual degree of natural beauty, and thus didn't need to spend much time trying to make herself look pretty. Haphazardly running a hand through her hair to clear the straw and knots out, she walked into the village, a smile on her face now that her hangover was forgotten. It seems she did inherit some resistance to the downsides of alcohol after all.

"The hell?" she asked aloud as she beheld the utter lack of people in the village center. Full sized people, that is, the runts were running around screaming like always. It was then she noticed that most everyone was gathered in the chieftain's hut, and grimaced again. "Damn, not another one of the old man's speeches," she whined as she realized she would have to attend. "Why do we let some dumb human run the show anyway, why isn't a Descendant in charge?" she wondered aloud as she approached, not caring if anyone heard or objected to her idea. Of course, she had no desire to take the position herself, as that would mean less time for having fun. Still, the idea of the children of gods and goddesses taking orders from weak little humans chafed.

Once she reached the front of the crowd, Nadia sullenly listened to the old man's speech, arms crossed and a disinterested expression on her face. 'At least he understands how great we are,' she thought, sighing as the Elder made his plea for the Descendants to help the village. Truthfully though, she was interested to hear what kinds of help the village needed. Although Nadia spent most of her time relaxing and enjoying herself, she recognized that she had been born for a reason: to protect the lowly humans that the gods and goddesses had banded together to defend from the ancient evils. Why the humans were worthy of protection, Nadia wasn't sure, but it was her duty to help them out when she could. It also meant she got to travel outside the village and get in fights, which always livened the day up. She stepped up to the board to see what kind of fun she might have today...
