I love how this game is coming along. The amount of content, the quality of the mechanics, the abundance of skillfully voiced dialogue, and the near perfectly tuned difficulty could easily see this becoming a top 10 hentai game all-time.
Specifics notes:
1. The minimap and its design makes what could otherwise be a frustratingly huge level quite manageable.
2. Back to difficulty, I found myself consistently engaged but not stuck anywhere. That is a REALLY hard balance to manage. The enemies, the puzzles, and the platforming were all just hard enough to be interesting but not punishing enough that I got stuck anywhere for more than a few minutes.
Glad to hear you're liking it so much
For the minimap, we actually plan on improving the map system with the mega-map (found by pressing ESC) by adding icons to it to indicate databank locations, powerup locations, end-path objectives and if they're done or not, that sort of thing.
Also happy to hear you're finding the difficulty balanced; I can't promise we'll nail that all the time with every level, but we're going to try our best to make it a good balance of "this is going to take actual skill to beat" and "if you don't have the skill to beat this, we'll offer an alternative solution" design.
In general, that's what we want to do with our games, is always offer a duality of experience;
- You can choose to ignore the story and bypass most of it, or you can get really into it and check out all the cutscenes and databanks
- You can mute voice acting not only as a whole while leaving other audio intact, you can do it by gender (if you only want female or male voice acting, essentially the main characters vs the NPCs), and you'll eventually be able to do it by character
- You can engage with enemies directly by just killing them, or you can choose to avoid them, with enemies setup with tactics to interact with you in either playstyle
And a lot of other things like that in general is how I like to design games, so that players of a wide variety of skillsets and interests and playstyles can still enjoy the games I work on without feeling neglected or ignored.
