Hentai Wars: Beyond Rem, a hentai based battle card game

I've always been a fan of strategy games, rpgs and the like. That includes card games like Yu-gi-oh and Magic. With hentai gaming having so much to offer these days I wondered why no one made a card battle with actual hentai game play and not just some fan service filler with sex scene that in all reality had nothing to do with the gameplay or just pictures of hot anime girls who do nothing.

So with that said i decided to embark on a journey to create a card game, a hentai card game! One where you see all the naughty fetish stuff we all know and fap to, right in the game as you play!

What kind of card style would you use. Sure you can go conventional and use might and magic, or now you can use sex as a weapon and leave your opponent to aroused and horny (even cum inflated or pregnant) to fight back effectively...

Throw in a wonderful world and story to go along with it and Beyond Rem, with a lot of work and a bit a luck will be one of the best hentai based card games ever... All in English :)


Ok, so that's all well and good but what is this going to cost me you ask? Are you going to ask me to go to some crowd funding website, donate 40 bucks a month for a underdeveloped game that might not even see the light of day all when I don't even know who you are or what you can get done?

short answer is no.... you do not have to donate and im not asking you to..

While at one point I may ask for donations to help drive things along it wouldn't be fair of me to ask for anything now... Honestly what i want to do now is build Beyond Rem, let everyone form their opinions and show you all that I am not gonna let weird life things get in the way and use that as an excuse to take 10 years to make a game (no offense to anyone mind you)....

I plan on making a comic series, a play by post forum version of the game for testing and to introduce you all to REM. which I plan to have illustrated and even animated a bit as time goes on. My endgame to all of this, is to eventually make on MMORPG version of Beyond Rem where you can create your own character and dive into the world of REM and make moral decisions that will decide the Fate of Rem and the Real world! but thats is a long way away... for now baby steps..

As you can see by my post count i am totally new at this and i don't really post much which will change now of course...

Please be gentle if I do something that doesn't make sense most likely its because i dont know any better....

I would say the primary two reasons you haven't really seen a game like this are;

1) People generally only like playing TCGs against human opponents, as CPU opponents in these games usually feel broken (either nearly impossible to beat/get cards unfairly, or are braindead against certain tactics).

The only exception to this seems to be scripted battles with special rules like some of the Adventure stuff in Hearthstone, where the player is much more alright with the idea of broken gameplay due to the context.

2) Since people generally like playing TCGs against human opponents, this means they'd have to be playing against someone else. The idea of playing against another opponent might turn off a lot of people (either they're focusing more on the gameplay than the hentai or they're weirded out at the idea of getting off while being competitive), as well as timers on turns essentially forcing someone out of getting comfortable into getting off when hentai's involved.

Not to shoot down your idea, just offering reasons why this particular mix up isn't seen often. Add in balancing issues, having to create all these cards and a gameplay "ruleset/engine" as it were, and it places the game up there with fighting games in difficulty to create a good mix of hentai and gameplay of that given genre :p

No worries at all I know most games have some sort or criticism at one point or another i am totally fine with it.

I think you raise some good points especially when it comes to making a game on a pc format. Honestly I plan on having the basic game be more of a text play by post kind of deal for a good while not only to get more feedback on game play but hopefully to built a brand, kind of like how Fenoxo did with corruption of champions before trials in tainted space. which might help with the timing issue and bad ai gameplay since the ai will be human instead.

Some people may feel weird about playing others but i think once things get rolling there will be a good amount of people who like it. I just got tired of those dmm games that say they have hentai in them and they only have a few cutscenes here and there and they have nothing to really do with the game except pretty pictures

Isn't Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena already a porn card game? (never played it, but I've seen a bunch of card art on gelbooru)

Also I know the furries have definitely done a ccg: Furoticon.

However, reading your original post, it seems like you're sliding a lot of different concepts together.

A competitive card game like M:tG, L5R, VTES or Yu-Gi-Oh is designed as a strictly PvP experience.

An MMO is an entirely different beast.

If I were you, I'd start small and find a simple game and a simple mechanic that works, that you can playtest to death, and secure some good artwork with its own flavor that supports a good (and sexy) theme.

Furoticon certainly looks interesting to say the least :)

but to clarify the actual mmorpg is an end goal of sorts. it would need a lot to even have a hope of properly be executed and for someone like me with no start up capital and no buzz i'm not even thinking about the mmorpg for at least 2 to 3 years to say the least.

for now I'm focusing on building the story/world of Rem through stories and mini comics as well as gameplay through play by post forum and also building an expansive card library . that way i can beta test the actual gameplay while getting everyone to learn about Rem and grow it's infamy...


honestly if i can just get a good following with play by post version of the card game and the comic then i would have considered this a huge success :)

there's also the amount of work that goes into card art... that always got me wanting to quit before i started...i also couldnt think of a decent ruleset

i'll admit.... the card art for the amount of content eventually needed is staggering to say the least not to mention actually designing that many...

My plan is to try to work in groups of 60 or so. most of the cards I plan on finding an artist that doesn't charge as much on commission work to help with the art for lesser cards and of course shelling out more for the rare and ultra rare ones and special cards.

Figuring out exactly how the game will be played wasn't easy either. I used some older element from various card games but i wanted to add enough of my own ideas to make beyond rem truly unique... trying to blend a battle system,sex system, and pregnancy system all into one game in a way that works.... i think i'm about there....


By the end of 2016 i hope to have the gameplay completed and a modest library of cards so I can have people playing forum matches and hopefully start fine tuning things....

So how do I even play this grand idea of a game you ask? Well you're in luck because I'm gonna explain it to you right now :)


we start off with two opponents facing off against each other on each side of the field. they each have a lucid dream crystal which serves as their main card. It has a Mp (mind point) value and if that value hits 0 you lose the match. Mp is deducted in a number of ways mainly by being attacked by creatures

to protect yourself and your Mp you will have a deck of cards consisting of creatures, magical spells, dreamscape, and avatar cards which you will have to summon to protect you while trying to deplete your opponents Mp.

[LDC] Lucid dream crystal- here is where you place your Lucid dream crystal card, there are different kinds of these card each having various Mind point values and effects, they can not be changed mid battle and if the Mp value on the card hits 0 you lose


[NE] Neutral energy - needed in order to set color energy cards on the field as well as play certain magic cards and other creatures. Neutral energy is gathered by lucid dream crystals and are consumed when used

[CE] Color energy - energy needed to play creatures, avatars, and some magic cards. Color card come in red, blue, purple, yellow, green, white and black each color representing an element or emotion. Color energies are not consumed when used but instead put into an engaged position for the rest of a given turn not being usable until the next turn when it becomes un engaged. To set one onto the field for use you must use Neutral energy.

[A] Avatar - are exceptionally powerful creatures that the player can transform into. When in play creatures attack the avatar instead of the lucid dream crystal card preventing mp damage. when attacked directly avatars lose Neural link points. when neural link points hit 0 the avatar is destroyed and sent to the discard pile. Avatars have powerful abilities that either increase neural link points or decrease neural link points depending on the skill... The main downside, however, is that your opponent may have a transformation spell that will force you to take on an avatar they own that has abilities that will hurt you and your gameplay as well as cause you Mp damage. only one avatar can exist on one side of the field at a time.

Spell cards - are cards that cause various effects on game play depending on the situation adversely affecting game play in a wide numbers of ways from summoning creatures to restoring mind points.... to activate you need a combination of neutral and color energy depending on the card

[C] Creatures - or others you summon into battle to do your bidding. each creature has it's own stats including attacks, toughness, orgasm tolerance and so on... they also have their own abilities which can turn the tide of battle.. they are summoned by using color energy and neutral energy

[D] Dreamscape - are cards that have effects on the entire field. these effects can be accessed by either player as long as they met the conditions having positive or negative effects depending on the card. Only one dreamscape can exist on the field at one time. using a new dreamscape erases the old one...




OK sooo this took waay more text then i thought it would... so in order to save everyone's sanity i will stop here for now and continue another day explaining how the game work. if you are reading this please spread the word on Beyond Rem ...

Battle flow and phases
Ok so the next part I thought i should explain was how turns work and the parts that make up a turn. Right now there are 7 phases to each turn with one player taking turn after another.. this of course may change in the future.....







Battle flow- turn phases


Draw phase- Player draws one card from their deck

Chrystal generation/set mind cards- The Player's Lucid dream crystal generates Neutral energy cards and you can also place colored energy on the field for use by discarding neutral energy.

Effects phase- During this phase apply all per turn effects unless the card that applied this effect states otherwise

Set magic/monster/field phase- place desired cards onto the field for play as long as you meet the requirements to place them

Battle phase- this is where you declare attacks on your opponent in an attempt to directly damage them using your creature and or avatar... Your opponent during this step will attempt to block your attack using their own creatures, avatars, and or magic cards.

Fertility/birth phase- During this phase certain sexual effect are decided... Birth, becoming pregnant, for now i think this phase will revolve mainly around pregnancy


Resolve phase- you can set creatures, avatars, or magic cards before turn end
