Hello, I've been a member/lurker here for awhile now and I rarely see anything out anymore maybe some mild discussion here or when something is released its more of a half ass rehash, with a few extra scenes here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary.

It is kind of rough since the only reason I watch this stuff is for the hardcore material like Black Lilith. Less and less group rape, orc rape, tentacle rape, etc seems to be getting made.

I kinda noticed this as well, but it could also just be a slow release time of year, according to Hentaicrunch, about 5 new hentai are released each month(main stream hentai). Just cause they arent being uploaded on Ulmf, doesnt mean they arent being made, just sucks most of them are vanilla or chikan.

A Taimanin Asagi anime made from the second game would be treasure in my opinion. I have no idea why Lilith hasnt capitalised on using its best selling name, Taimanin. The Second game(especially the newly released complete edition) went farther in every aspect than the first, more corruption, body mods, humiliation, etc. Hell even a Tainamin Murasaki anime, just one damn episode.

Its a slow time period. From gaming to general movies. The human race has very little innovative ideas right now. Whats making it worse is all the damn heavy religious bands that are still on their crusade to rid the world of porn and the like. Hell i remember the day when i was able to visit multiple sites and blogs with great turn outs but now dwindled to a few but theyre still great(awesome hint:the forum im currently typing this message on). Just gotta wait till they turn a blind eye and a gem manages to get published.

You want an innovative idea?

Diablo style game... with monster rape and shit.

Hasn't been done as far as i'm aware. And if it has it hasn't been done well enough to warrent my attention.

So yeah, step to it H companies. This needs to happen.

Still waiting for a good x-com styled hentai game, where the aliens drag off your female squaddies to inseminate them

Pretty Soldier Wars wasn't good enough

you mean a forth... there are 3 games out at the moment, Taimanin Asagi, Taimanin Asagi: the Demon Tournament (or something like that) and Taimanin Asagi 2. and if you want to get technical, then Taimanin Murasaki, which is based in the same universe, and has Sakura in it.

Re: Is hentai dying/dead?

I probably have no idea what I'm talking about since I can only speak on behalf of my own personal experience, but I'll give you that anyway.

My answer would be kind of. It partly feels like little but generic RPG maker games come out, which I play anyway, many of which have these kind of ugly or even ungodly art styles that make me want to vomit. Some are alright, like Saki Quest or the like, but y'know. Could just be my preference but whatever.

Occasionally games like Unholy Sanctuary Violated Hero, which feel pretty good in various aspects, come up, but it certainly feel like the waiting period between these kinds of games gets longer and longer. Too much of the same, too stagnant, not enough general content in games.

At the same time though, it also feels like us perverts have been looking and indulging in this sort of stuff for a while and what use to entertain us perfectly doesn't anymore, and our demand for such things has gone up.

I really have no idea, but if this is a slow and bad period compared to older days, maybe it'll improve.

Well there are good things coming out all the time, but the problem with Hentai is that either you love that particular fetish or you don't. Kynoyuu Fantasy is a prime example of this, i love Kyonyuu Fantasy and can't wait for episode 3 *insert Half Life/Gabe Newell joke* the curvy girls, the interesting plot (rare for a H-anime)

yet there are many people on here that can't stand it, can't stand the fact that all of the girls are at least MMM-cups.

it's not that there's nothing good, it's just that many things just don't have the fetishes we want.

That's a good point now that I think about it. Things are stretched somewhat thin to please everyone. I'll say this much, I'm really picky with my fetishes. More so, anything that goes into gross territory for me is a big nono. I've avoided the Raidy games because of some of the content in it.

Re: Is hentai dying/dead?

I see a lot of games and the like that only touch on part of what I'm interested in. Now, while it does feel like there are quite a few games BEING made, quite a few are just plain bad, good ideas that never finish, or long projects that I seem to find in-progress and the like.

That last category isn't REALLY a problem (i.e. Fairy Fighting) but it's more common than I like. Aside from VN's there seems to be a lack in solid, original H-Games that are complete, well-made, and tailor to what I like. Now, I'm not saying there aren't great games out there. It's just I look for specific material, so from my point of view there isn't a great deal of relevant material being made.

As far as hentai videos, there's really only a few things I enjoy from that medium, so I usually only wander that way when I'm looking for updates on series or creators I'm already following. Or following up on a good lead. Which, given the slow rate at which these videos seem to come out, usually isn't very often.

TL : DR? There IS a lot of material, but sifting through it to find something you like is getting increasingly more difficult. I guess that's my main point.

It's not dying. It's the mix between cartoons and porn, it's a very specific niche in the middle of the two, and I can't see anything replacing it.

@2ndhokage

I know exactly how you feel ... but it really just comes down to what your trying to see. They are still surely being made but if you fill you seen it all all the new ones will feel like remakes ... just try to keep your mind open and keep looking for that type that floats your boat.

If your bored of the movies (since posting in movies) you should try to getting into some H games ... try this game that is in the process of being finished called Resident Evil ... would post link but haven't made 15 post yet :/

Re: Is hentai dying/dead?

Na, hentai has just hit the point of diminishing (business) returns. You have to remember three things.

1. The cost (and quality) of producing hentai has gone WAYYYYYYY up. Go watch a hentai made in the late-80s/early-90s and the video quality alone can be pretty laughable.

2. The hentai industry hasn't been able to (yet?) make the leap to 3D and thats really hurting them. (Wanna know why Nintendo makes all the new Mario games in 3D even though they're still 2D platformers? Cause its CHEAPER THAT WAY!)

3. Lack of/unwillingness to accept new ideas. When all is said and done, Japan is a VERY traditional country and that makes it VERY hard to make changes, even for business purposes. Even though monsters/monster girls are rising in popularity (the Monster Musume manga is CRAZY successful...) you don't see the manga/anime/hentai industry really capitalizing on that. (Oh sure, you see things like orcs, pigmen and tons of "giant inhuman monsters with human dicks" but they basically have vanilla human sex which defeats the whole purposes.)

1) I don't know about number 1. The art in hentai nowadays is usually a lot better than in the old days (though some old hentai like New Angel still has better art than a lot of new hentais), but I imagine new technology has also made things cheaper. That's, on a general level, is how business usually works when they improve their goods.

2) I don't really agree with number 2. What makes hentai hentai is because it's 2-D and not 3-D, or rather the design that 2-D is capable of. If I wanted 3-D I would just watch regular porn, granted most chicks in regular porn are butt ugly. Its seems pretty hard to transition the anime-like design to 3-D without being weird or even scary. To my knowledge, only one company has been really successful in 3-D hentai and that's Illusion Soft. Not sure if its cuz they have more money or something but most 3-D groups other than Illusion have really ugly girls, some don't even have the anime-ish look so I don't even consider them hentai.

Nintendo makes 3-D because their games are normal games targeted towards the mainstream. To the mainstream, 3-D is automatically better 2-D; many, if not most, will not even touch a game if it doesn't meet their bare minimal standards for graphics.

3) Maybe its just me but I thought most people actually LIKE "vanilla human-style sex." Tentacles is just a fetish, one that I got over a long time ago. Talking about "accepting new ideas," if Japan is not gonna do it, nobody is gonna do it. Japan is "traditional" on the mainstream level (though that is changing with the newer generations) and hentai is DEFINITELY NOT mainstream Japanese culture. Again, if the hentai business isn't gonna "accept" and cater to your unusual fetishes, then no one is.

I don't know how popular this monster girl manga you're talking is but I can assure you that there are a dillion number of mangas with normal girls that are more popular. Many many many popular manga/anime nowadays are just "female characters marketing" series, if this monster girl manga can actually compete with those then the chances of more monster girl hentai being made would greatly increase. By "popular" I mean popular in Japan, not popular among a little niche in the western world.

But I'm not a fan of 3D hentai. Nor does being 3D make much of a difference to me.

Of course, just because I have no preference towards 2D or 3D, doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.
Perhaps the majority of hentai anime viewers want 3D. I've never really read any discussions about it so I don't know what the general opinion is like.

However, after reading several "we need 3D games, every game should be 3D, 3D is the standard in the gaming industry, 2D = shit quality" debates, I'm not too sure whether not being 3D is taking away from the appeal.

Porn is porn. Does it really matter what is involved? lol
