I am making an RPG that uses all the characters I have envisioned since I was younger. Before I got into hentai. My aim is to make this world known. Much moreso in game form.

The story is sort of set. Anonymous, as mysterious as they are, are causing trouble. This sort of trouble is to stop a threat unbeknownst to our heroes at first.

The main character is Luigi. He, his pet Barg, and his neighbor Aile set off to fight the unknown terrors and discover the true side of the "evil" Anonymous Syndicate.

-After playing- It seems good so far. Just keep adding to it and keep up the work. And I'm sure it'll be okay.

a few graphical suggestions:

the doors backgrounds dont match the square doors

the rooms are considerably larger than they need to be, giving the areas an empty unprofessional feel. you shouldn't be afraid of leaving some black space around the edges, which has been used in games like this for ages so its commonly accepted. for instance the bedrooms could have 2-3 tiles smaller on each side.

also for doors on walls that face the player (like the exits to your houses) are generaly used with just a divet in the wall. like the black spaces its what has been in general use for years so no on will complain.

if you have trouble with overlaying shadows and multiple objects (including the inevitable problem of not having enough tilesets to work with) you can make a picture of the background by screen shotting it and set it to parallax background and then use a blank tile with passage set to not walk through it as a blocking volume to stop people going where they shouldn't.

Do I need anything to run it, and where do I get it? Also, AWESOME picture for your signature. If you drew that, you are really gifted and I am jealous.

You need the RPG Maker VX runtime package to play it.

I assumed everyone knew how to run RPG Maker VX, since it is almost a requirement for many of the hentai games in the hentai section. But I put a link to the runtime package in the first post.

in luigi's house by the kitchen you should continue the wall after the divider, alternatively if you want it to be a counter, you can move the top of the wall down one tile and add a table bottom underneath it.

battles are rediculously easy, this can be for a number of reasons i'm sure, however if this is for rushing of playtests, i've found giving the party a debug item that is a massive boost to stats allows for easy switching on and off of appropriate difficulty.

depending on the aesthetic you are going for, it may be more apropriate to have a less square geography.

It is still aplha, so the party has their default armoring and stats that came with the game. They will be fixed. I am also planning on doing something more with Barg than this.

As for the geography, I sort of want to only use the default landscapes for now. And they're all tiled, filling up squares. I am pretty much okay with my geography at the moment.

What is next planned is a new enemy called "Bitty Witch" that may or may not have an event sprite to her. She may just hang around the Derp Goomba battles in one of the next maps over.

Also, I miss the clashing music from A.01. I may just do some volume control trickery... or figure things out so it won't be so surprising.

I am also envisioning an intro, since game startup just plops you in the house.

What does the error message say? RPG Maker VX works better with Windows XP or Vista. 64-bit editions are not fully supported, it says in the help file.

RGSS202E.dll could not be found, then it closes...

Google search for RGSS202E.dll and put it in the same folder as the runtime package.

It should work afterward.

It works, but it took a minute to load up, and during that minute, it froze my WHOLE computer...

That must be something involving your computer then. I am not a repair specialist. You must have too much on your PC at the moment.

Maybe. Battles were WAAAAAYYYYY to easy, also, more interactable objects would be coool.

I am planning on signs. I just got done with balancing battles. You might have to work a little to be able to go very far though. As is most RPG's I've played.

I am working on a new enemy. Bitty Witch. She will not have overworld sprites. Instead, she will be with some Derp Goomba encounters immediately later than the first area.

Those battles will be a bit hard though. So that's why Derp Goombas drop potions. I am also thinking of adding a shop.
