Get a better machine translator.

ステージ3内で一回以上敗北してステージ4に進む

Lose at least one life completing stage 3 and progress to stage 4. The CG unlocks during the intermission scene.
Thanks for reply, just realised the reason why that CG can't unlocked because i forgot to update my game.

Final thing to check: make an exception for this game in the firewall and antivirus.
Game executable really shouldn't be in a folder linked to documents, downloads etc. Kirikiri engine works badly against write-protection in specific folders. I don't advise putting it in a portable drive either. Is there a specific reason why you're not using the default installation directory for this? If it works then, I can only conclude your preference for write-protected drives being the culprit.
If you bought the package version and are installing it from a DVD, there's a fix on the mille feuille website with a workaround against very specific data read problems.
The default directory is what I tried first. Same result no matter where it goes. Bought it off Eng DLSite. Tried the one uploaded here as well to the exact same outcome.

Only thing left is the antivirus. Script errors are because it isn't allowed to work as normal.

Beyond that, I can't suggest anything more than trying a fresh install from a different source.

So I keep getting this error...
Untitled.png
From what i can translate it wants me to edit the path.
I'm not quite sure how to do so, or what to edit.
Anyone have any ideas? I'd appreciate the help.

So I tried editing the path and this is what I got.
Untitled.png
My OCR program is acting up so i had to manually translate some of it.
From what i can tell, it's saying that > is an invalid input or something.
Any ideas?
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times, and even re-extracted
the file after tweaking my language settings and reinstalled while using locale emulator.
Still no luck though. :-(

Why are you using 2x > when you're only supposed to use one to end the file path name?

Two possibilities:

1. You're using a keyboard which isn't English or in Japanese.
2. You are using an English or Japanese keyboard but are adding in symbols which Kiri-Kiri hates to see in a file path.

Fastest way is to copy and paste the very last part (or two) of your installation directory. Should be very obvious what the problem is then.

My keyboard is in English by default.
Just tried switching over to japanese and had the same result.

Do you get ¥ or \ when you press the \ key on your keyboard?

If it's the former, then you're using Japanese IME. I don't have a problem with game installation since ¥ is the only special character in my file path.
As I mentioned earlier, copying and pasting the last two parts of your installation directory should make the problem crystal clear.
No one here is interested in your personal name or private alias, just the important part which is what you're typing in for the file path.

Two things to try:

1. If you have a drive partition, install the game there and see if that helps.
2. If 1. doesn't work, what windows settings are you using to install the game? For best results, install the game with everything set to Japanese.

Just tried both. Neither worked. Maybe i should re-download. :-/
Worth a shot. Make sure the download is ok before installing everything under Japanese settings.

Quick reminder: Play the game with Japanese unicode and Japanese date and time. This might be one of those games which won't run without the encoding from Japanese date and time.

Maybe when you install the game change the name of the folder you put it into.

Unfortunately it's probably because windows 10 fucked the language settings up recently.
Even after after i tweaked all of my language settings and used the locale emulator i would get the gibberish characters in some of the parts of the install.

Don't use locale emulator together with a mix of language settings.
Also on Windows 10, had to use the extra step to get my entire windows in Japanese language to get my games playing again.
Problem solved itself on its own after a while so I no longer need Japanese interface windows, but it's worth a try provided you can switch to full-on Japanese windows.

Otherwise, use locale emulator and don't mess around with language settings.

I solved my problem.
For anyone that has a similar problem, here is what i did.

I re-installed the game into a folder in my documents.
I don't know why that worked but it did.
Hopefully that helps someone.
