Aurelia is a retro pixel art visual novel where you will explore a fantastic medieval world and meet beautiful women, exotic races, and monster girls.

Weekly Recap 12/Aug/18
- Reworked the Start menu visuals entirely
- Reworked the Main menu visuals entirely
- Added vertical synchronization to avoid tearing
- Menus BG and design got a visual update
- Visual improvements to the save, load, exit and achievements, submenus
- The Journal menu will only show characters after you meet them
- Added a loading bar to the start of the game
- Removed the particle effects at the start to speed up the loading process
- Fixed problems with dynamic resolution for lower screen resolutions
- You can use the mouse wheel instead of the scrolling bar
- Added a progress bar to the achievement submenu
- The maximum resolution now caps at 16:9 (higher was giving some visual issues)

wow, NOBODY's commenting?
I do like the artstyle, but I think the market for these really early-in-development text-based games is just too oversaturated and tainted by fraud

Also I doubt this even is "pixel art", looks more like (good) art with a filter over it

Pixel art is more than a resolution, limited palette and pixel positioning plays a bigger role in making something look and feel pixel art than how big the canvas is.

I just feel more retro the smaller you make it :p

There is plenty of examples of pixel art with big resolutions in old games too! All the SNK Fighting games for the Arcade

There is around 7k at the moment but to be honest, we don't aim to have an epic story or a huge word count, we want something simple and entertaining.

I really like the 16-color aesthetic of the graphics. Reminds of DOS/V H-games.

I'd played 0.2.1 several months ago but the amount of content was still pretty light. Liked what little I saw.
