Gave it a try and doesnt seem to work properly as the whole map is red squared...

my bet is intended...

I dont think is intended, because it also hide the stair / door / NPC and pretty much everything.
It felt more like the game is not even bug tested yet and they just release it.

for people whom "Textures are not loading"

1.unpack the game zip/rar folder
2. download “RPGMV-DECRYPTOR-WIN32” -->

You must be registered to see the links

3. unpack the software & launch RPGMV-DECRYPTOR
4. Select the gamne directory = the folder the game.exe is in
5. click on ok and wait a for 2-5 min. note that no window will appear while its decrypting. A message prompt will appear after 2-5 min informing when its done.

Managed to finish the game with the red textures and not seing stairs but...here you go.(full save and yes I cheated my stats).
