The Story: Far in the future, when humankind has expanded throughout the stars, they find themselves a burgeoning race in a galaxy filled with extra terrestrial life... With no conflict; literally, the other races bowed down to the will of the humans, offering scientific discoveries for free. The planning, the preparation, and the significant theories of 'First Contact' meant nothing to the almost too-grateful hosts of the galaxy. Slowly expanding their reach throughout space with Space Stations, terraformed planets, and well-fortified 'bubble cities', human didn't question the often watchful eye of the other races. When disaster finally struck, the human race has suddenly found themselves alone in a very large galaxy, silent galaxy; their once watchful guardians have drawn themselves into hiding, leaving only the young of their species who wished to live amongst the humans.

Rising from the furthest part of space, beyond even human reach, an enemy attacks; Planets and settlements continue to go dark along the outer fringe of human space. An armada of destroyers, interceptors, fighters, and frigates all slowly move towards the major planet of Hallowell, ready to stop this almost secret invasion before it's too late.

Your characters begin their journey after realizing how wrong the Human Alliance is, on the largest space station named Titan. Each character will awaken to destruction and mayhem all around, as the invading force has somehow managed to get into the sealed station. A Marine, an Engineer, a Scout, and a Civilian all need to save this station, reveal their enemy to the alliance - and hopefully make it out alive...

Rules:
Stats:
Every action you make is determined by your EP (Energy Points). The more EP you have, the more turns you can take in a battle, and the longer you can stay out from Firelight. Every movement you make costs you one EP, or two if it's 'rough terrain'; vehicles can be used to give an advantage over how much EP you spend while traveling. If you're stuck outside of a safe zone when you run out of EP, your character is forced to rest, which invites unwanted attention from enemies. If your character runs out of EP while in a party with other people, they can choose to help you come back (at the expense of 1 EP for whichever character helps carry you); or they can help you set up a defensive perimeter and defend with you, no matter your class. Please note, if you're out by yourself, you can use whatever EP you have to build a defensive perimeter. Depending on the closest safe zone, you may also request support, which could show up as NPCs, other players, heavy ordinance drops, or artillery strikes.

Your AP (Armor/Arousal Point score) is how much damage you can take before you actually become fatigued; I'll explain the negatives of losing your current AP down a little later. If you take a special perk, you can convert some AP into EP. While it sounds unimportant, AP is a good way to keep from experiencing any sort of negative effects from your enemies.

FP is your Fatigue, how long your character can go before he or she actually passes out. When her AP is run dry, her FP can be attacked at that point, meaning she begins to experience negative effects from whatever enemy she's facing. If your character fighting the usual orcs, for example, when her AP drops from their aphrodisiac darts, the character can no longer resist the urge and will proceed to go down on anything that presents itself. While it's good to have a lot of AP, having a substantial amount of FP is important too, as it keeps your character from being knocked out. Some enemies and some tasks actually can drain your FP, even if your character's AP is still full.
The list of status effects:

Orc Aphrodisiac Darts - When AP hits 0, the character can no longer resist the urge for sex.
Concussion Rounds - The character gains a -1 to any rolls involved in the current battle.
Slime (see the list of colors below)
Blue: Character loses 1 EP per round
Red: Character loses 1 FP per round.
Green: Character always goes last.
Brown: Character's Initiative suffers a -5 to the whole group
Pink: Can no longer resist.
Yellow: Character relieves themselves, losing 3 FP.
Black: Character loses a permanent 1 to either their FP or AP.
Wolf bite - Instilled with fear, making grapples on the character easier.
Melee Strike - Character gets the wind knocked out of them, losing their current or next turn.
Explosion - Character takes 2 EP to move anywhere until healed.
Please note: There are probably more to come, and these effects will stack.

Attributes
Strength: Determines Melee attacks as well as dodging, pushing/pulling objects, jumping, throwing, etc.
Dexterity: Ranged attacks and dodging them, any sleight-of-hand tactic, camouflage, sneaking, balancing, etc.
Intelligence: Solving puzzles, resisting most form of coercion, and bluff checks.
Will Power: Used to rebuke sexual advances (when not horny), to deal or avoid damage during sex, and resisting any instant aphrodisiac.

Battle actions
While in a fight, there are many things you can do – the game is quite wide open, and if you run a tactic by me, I'll let you know if it's something your character can perform. There are a few basic actions that you can do, however. Please note, each of these take 1 EP to do unless stated otherwise:
Attacking – Shooting, hitting, throwing... Insulting; there's a lot you can do to attack.
Taking cover- Yes, you need to tell me that you take cover. If you don't, I'll assume your saving your EP for something else and your character is just standing out in the open. It's there to help you spend your EP wisely during a battle, instead of rushing heads-first into a combat situation. Taking cover is not always a full proof way to escape attack, as enemies can flank you (You can do that same), and there are weapons that pierce through walls.
Moving – You can move as far as you like, and I'll determine how much EP it takes up (usually not more than three). If you do something that's considerably harder than moving (climbing over walls, running up/down a debris pile, etc.), it'll cost two EP instead of one.
Sex – Yes. Sex is a form of combat in the game. Draining your opponent's FP knocks them out cold, but also makes them orgasm, which is something your character will want to avoid (most the time).

Types of Combat – There are different types of weapons in the game, and each have different effects on EP. They're split into X types of weaponry:
Melee – Pretty straight forward, 1 EP for 1 attack, unless your character has a special feat.
Manual Actions – Same as Melee weapons, 1 EP for 1 attack, but with Manual Action weapons you need to manually chamber another round, costing another EP. While it takes more EP to operate, MAs are usually much more damaging than other ranged weapons.
Semi-Automatic Actions – Every 1 EP fires 1 round, making SA Actions the simplest to use weapon in the game. They deal less damage than Manual Actions, and lack the rate of fire that most Automatic Actions have.
Automatic Action – Every 1 EP fires 3 rounds, giving you a high rate of fire. The rounds deal less damage than most other ranged weapons, but Auto-Action weapons tend to have larger clips.
Explosives: Ranged Explosives are treated as Manual Actions; Stationary, or set, explosives are treated as their own class. They require 1 EP to lay, but can take up to 10 EP to arm, depending on the size and complexity of the explosive.

Ammo Types – There's a few different types of ammunition available for the weapons:
Regular Ammo – Comes standard in all military weapons. Can damage armor and walls, but regular ammo doesn't do too well against the latter.
Shredder Ammo – A special design made to tear through flesh and bone alike; deals excellent damage against flesh, but has trouble penetrating armor.
Ember Rounds – Deal damage over time, as well as initial damage to the target. Effective against some creatures in the Horde.
Cryo Ammo – Has a chance to freeze an enemy for a few turns; it can work against armor, but any sort of armor severely reduces the chance of instant-freezing.
Rubber Ammo – Acts just like normal ammo, except it incapacitates an enemy instead of killing them. This only deals half damage to armor.
Warp Ammo – Has a chance to pierce armor and walls.
Acid Ammo (Orc Weapons) – Only deals damage to armor and clothing, and is surprisingly non-toxic... Although it's not recommended to eat it.
Aphrodisiac Ammo (Orc Weapons) – Small darts that inject a powerful aphrodisiac into their target. If the individual is wearing any kind of armor (note, not just clothes, but armor), the dart can't reach the skin.

Resources – There are several resources you can find in the game, each allowing your character to craft items, or letting Kiera create items and ammunition.
Gunpowder – Used in creating make-shift explosives; Kiera uses to make ammunition of anyt kind, as well as explosives.
Metal – Used in the creation of armor, vehicles, and weapons by Kiera; can be used for make-shift cover and housing.
Plastic – Plastic is used in the manufacturing of many different items, but is most often used in armor and vehicles; There's not much of a use for it elsewhere (but the GM is open to suggestions!).
Rubber – Rubber's used for different types of ammunition, as well as armor and vehicles, by Kiera; It provides a fun distraction out in the field though.
Chemicals – Chemicals is a general term for many materials in the game; petroleum, thermal paste, cryo paste, etc. This is used in the manufacturing of many types of ammunition, vehicles, and some armor.
Neutronium – The densest material in the known universe. This is only used in constructing certain building and vehicles. A special walker is needed to collect this material.
Genetic Material – Collected by Engineers only. It allows for Engineers to come up with deadly weapons against their enemies. Each group of enemies have their own genetic material, allowing for special attacks to be made against that certain group.
Orc Chips – Circular disks, about 15mm in diameter and 2 mm thick, they're an odd silver color that glint green in when light reflects off them. It's unknown what the disks mean to the Orcs, or even if they're a unit of money for the creatures. Kiera however delights in collecting these disks made from an odd, unknown metal.
There will always be more resources than these listed, but those will mainly be used for special quests.
I'll be doing some more with the rules soon.

Classes: There are eight different classes for PCs:
Marine, an expert of combat, she'll have the highest AP, FP, Strength and Dex, but she'll have lower Int, EP and MP. The Marine is looking to restore Firelight base to full functionality as her mission.
AP: 7 FP: 7 MP: 2 EP: 4
Str: 4 Dex: 3 Int: 1 Will: 2
Equipment: Heavy Armor (20 Durability), Jennings SA Rifle (d2 damage, 7 rounds per clip, 5 clips), DX8 Pistol (1 damage, 5 rounds per clip, 3 clips).
Inherent Feat: Double time: When by herself (or with other Marines), the marine moves two times for each 1 EP she spends in the world.
Abilities: Tough: Once activated, the character loses 1 MP per turn, but every attack to her AP is reduced by 1.
Break Free: Uses 2 MP to gain a +4 to escape chances on a grapple currently being performed.
Engineers are all around scientists, skilled in Engineering, Genetics, Biology, and Chemistry, and have very high MP, Will, and Int, medium FP, but low AP, EP, and very low strength. Her mission is to find a way to stop the invading forces using some sort of scientific answer.
AP: 3 FP: 5 MP: 8, EP: 4
Str: 1 Dex: 2 Int: 4 Will: 3
Inherent Feat: Scan: Just by fighting an enemy Engineers are able to determine their attributes and stats, as well as passing them onto their allies.
DNA Extraction: Allows the Engineer to extract DNA from their opponents; Dead opponents give half the DNA available, alive give the full amount, and their seed gives double the amount.
Second Wind: After losing all FP on a one-on-one battle, the Engineer attacks ferociously, blowing her enemy away. It costs a full clip of ammo, and cannot be used when outnumbered.
Starting Equipment: Light Armor (10 Durability), DX8 Pistol (1 damage, 5 rounds per clip, 10 clips), Genetics Sampling Kit.
Civilians are thrown into the mix with the highest EP in the game, decent AP and FP, but overall lower attributes, as they don't have the same training that marines and engineers receive; however, the Civilian is looking for their lover/spouse, who did develop new type of explosive for the military, and she knows all the access codes to get into any building still standing in her neighborhood.
AP: 2 FP: 4 MP: 4 EP: 12
Str: 2 Dex: 2 Int: 3 Will: 2
Starting Equipment: Civilian Clothes (7 Durability), DX2 Pistol (1 damage, 3 rounds per clip, 12 clips), Access Card.
Inherent Feat: Blind Luck: A 5% chance to come across a beneficial, random event.
Panic: Costing 2 MP, the Civilian gets +d4 to her next attack when outnumbered. It can only be used once during a battle.
Scavenge: The Civilian searches for any valuable object, gaining a +1 to all search rolls; allows her to collect materials, also. Costs: 3 MP.
Scout, the stealth expert of the game. She focuses on stealth and the destruction of key objectives with a variety of explosives, and to this end has very high Dex, Int, and MP, but she has low EP, strength, and lower FP. Her mission is to destroy the point of entry for the invasion.
AP: 4 FP: 4 MP: 10 EP: 4
Str: 1 Dex: 4 Int: 4 MP: 3
Starting Equipment: Light Armor (10 Durability), Hamilton Sniper Rifle (d4 damage, 1 round chamber, 12 rounds), DX8 Pistol (1 damage, 5 rounds per clip, 5 clips), C4 Explosive Charge (1, d12 damage, max against walls/vehicles).
Inherent Feat: Spotter: The Scout has a higher chance of spotting invisible enemies and hiding enemies than any other class (+4 to the spot checks on them).
Camouflaged: The Scout uses her training and the shadows around her to hide for 1 MP. Unless the scout moves or attacks, the ability costs no more MP; otherwise, it will only cost 1 MP per action. If discovered, she can't go into hiding until she's no longer known to the enemy.
Careful Aim: Costing 1 MP, the scout gains +1 to her dex and adds on one damage to her next attack roll. Adds another 2 damage if undetected.
Mechanic – A somewhat sturdy worker, Mechanics can easily repair any vehicle, structure or weapon to working order. They're essential to running any mission off-planet, or even in tight situations. Able to Scavenge and Craft, Mechanics can build ammunition, turrets, and even some buildings. They're personal mission is to rebuild the Titan Defense System, eliminating heavy resistance from enemies.
AP: 5 FP: 6 MP: 4 EP: 5
Str: 2 Dex: 3 Int: 1 Will: 1
Equipment: Medium Armor (15 Durability), DX8 Pistol (1 Damage, 5 rounds per clip, 3 clips), Omnitool (1 Damage, Special: Welds, Charges, Lifts, Crafts)
Inherent Feat: Craft: Allows the Mechanic to craft an object based on the materials around her; using this, she can even modify weapons.
Tech Mine: The mechanic can deploy a mine, even by throwing it from her omnitool, exploding after an enemy walks near it; costs 4 MP.
Scavenge: The Mechanic searches for any valuable object, gaining a +1 to all search rolls; allows her to collect materials, also. Costs: 3 MP.
Medic – Medics are the reason why many soldiers are still alive, performing even complex surgeries on the battlefield with their Meditool. When the Outer Colony Conflicts came to an end, Medics honed their skills, becoming an offensive force capable of poisoning an enemy, weakening them, or even strengthening their allies. A Medic's personal mission is to get the Medical Labs in Firelight Base up and running, allowing her to save hundreds of lives and provide soldiers for the ongoing struggle against the enemy.
AP: 2 FP: 3 MP: 8 EP: 6
Str: 1 Dex: 2 Int: 3 Will: 3
Equipment: Light Armor (10 Durability), DX8 Pistol (1 damage, 5 rounds per clip, 3 clips), Meditool (Special: Heals d4 AP/d3 FP).
Inherent Feat: Empathetic: By standing near a weary ally, the medic heals 1 AP or FP per round.
Group Heal: Boosting her meditool's capabilities, the Medic heals a group of allies around her for either 3 AP or 2 FP; costs 4 MP.
Poison: The medic lightly poisons an enemy, making them lose d2 AP per round. This costs 2 MP.
Pilot – There's a reason the Alliance won the Outer Colony Conflicts: Dedicated humans and aliens that commanded mechs, tanks, submarines, and even large bombers into battle. A Pilot is offensively the weakest character, as she can only use pistols – but as soon as she gets into the cockpit of a vehicle, she becomes a force to be reckoned with. She has low AP and FP, but a very high dexterity, mostly for piloting any sort of craft. The Pilot's Mission is to find her Heavy Walker, which was scheduled to be delivered the day of the invasion.
AP: 2 FP: 2 MP: 4 EP: 6
Str: 1 Dex: 5 Int: 2 Will: 3
Equipment: Jumpsuit (7 Durability), DX10 Pistol (d2 damage, 4 rounds per clip, 6 clips).
Inherent Feat: 1337 skillz: The pilot has the ability to drive any craft without taking an extra training.
Double Tap: The pilot fires two rounds rapid fire, guaranteeing that if the first hits, the second will two; costs 2 MP.
Summon Drone: A flying camera drone shows up, revealing all locations of non-hidden enemies on the 'radar'; costs 3 MP.
Runner – While the Outer Colony insurrection was defeated by the Alliance almost 50 years ago, there are still those who hold the hope they'll be free from the Alliance High Command. That's where the Runners come in; agile individuals skilled in free running, a Runner is mainly used to avoid the soldiers of the Alliance, delivering valuable 'Packages' across large areas of land undetected. When they do need to use firearms, Runners fall back into the spray and pray approach, then quickly leave the area. The Runner was on their way to pick up a Valuable Package when the invasion hit; now her main goal is to get to the package, retrieve it, and see what's inside.
AP: 3 FP: 3 MP: 10 EP: 5
Str: 1 Dex: 3 Int: 3 Will: 2
Equipment: Runner Clothes (5 Durability), Modified DX5 (Automatic) (1 Damage, 9 rounds per clip, 4 clips)
Inherent Feat: Free Running: Allows the Runner to move over rough and dangerous terrain with little to no difficulty.
Abilities: Cheap Shot: If no combat has started, this surprise attack deals x2 damage and costs 2 MP.
Scavenge: The Runner searches for any valuable object, gaining a +1 to all search rolls; allows her to collect materials, also. Costs: 3 MP.

Races: Don't care. You can be a furry, Elf, Asari, even a robit of some kind - as long as it isn't any sort of Orc, Goblin, Werewolf, or any other creature considered a 'monster'.

Character Sheets: Pretty straight forward.
Name:
Race:
Class: Marine/Engineer/Scout/Civilian
Level: 1
AP:
FP:
MP:
EP:
Strength:
Dexterity:
Intelligence:
Will Power:
Equipment (List Below):

You can list any sort of backstory; like, if you choose to be the civilian, name your spouse/lover, what race they are, etc.

Leveling up allows you to increase either your AP, FP or MP by one, or your EP by two.
Every two levels allows you to increase your Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence or Will Power by one.
Every three levels gives you the chance to buy a feat, presented to only your character, based on her experiences.

Your character can die, but the invaders are rather entertained by the fact many of their races can breed with pretty much anything, meaning that there's only one real 'game over'. You have the chance to escape from your captors, but after so many tries, you will need to be rescued. If you get a game over, or if you won't be rescued for quite some time, I'll bring in another player to help balance out the teams again.

Current Roster:
1: Viola Theta #36 - "Circe", Scout; played by Maikochan.
2: Ashley, Civilian; Played by Tassadar.
3: Reya, Marine; Played by Keylo.
4: Annerose, Pilot; Played by our Loli Defensive Force Captain.
5: Laina, Mechanic; Played by Quartz.
6: Jenn, Medic; Played by Twisted's Evil Cousin.
7: Kalica, Runner; Played by Dreana.

Currently on Hold:
Hali Qui, Engineer, played by Hali. She'll be back soon.
Ruri Nasegawa, Medic, played by TentariX. Low posting by Tenta, so Ruri disappeared. I'm sure she could always reappear though.
Reya, Marine, played by Keylo. Reya will also be returning soon.

Re: The Colony

Sounds very interesting, a nice quick game. I'll take the Scout, got some good ideas for a personality already.
Name: Viola Theta #36 "Circe"
Race: Bionoid
Class: Scout
Level: 1

AP: 4
FP: 4
MP: 10
EP: 6

Strength: 1
Dexterity: 4
Intelligence: 5
Will Power: 3

Equipment:
Hamilton Sniper Rifle (d4 damage, 1 round chamber, 10 rounds)
DX8 Pistol (1 damage, 5 rounds per clip, 5 clips)
C4 Explosive Charge (1, d12 damage, max against walls/vehicles)

Backstory:
<Partial transcript of a meeting between Mikaru Systems Ltd. and Earth Government personnel regarding the Viola class Bionoids. Personal details classified>
"The woman known only as Viola was a marine sent as part of a small covert operation to pacify a rebelious colony over two hundred years ago. Upon arriving at the colony, her, along with her unit, defected to the rebel's side. With their military grade weapons and expertise, the rogue team was able to fortify the colony against future attempts to bring it into line. Numerous attempts had been made to infiltrate the colony and remove Viola, but none were successful. It took a heavy assualt team to finally regain control of the colony, and not without heavy losses. Viola was a traitor, and you want to make more of her?"

"Yes sir. During the battle, Viola was killed, but we at Mikaru Systems have recently aquired her DNA remains from the colony. As you say, Viola was a traitor, of that there is no doubt, but she was also an unparalleled strategist. It would indeed be very dangerous if we were to clone this woman as we would have no control over her actions, not to mention there would be little immediate gain until the clones matured. Our bionoids on the other hand, can be programmed to be perfectly subservient while retaining all of the skills and talents of the original. My team is confident that we can create a line of bionoids with Viola's formidable talents while maintaining complete control over them."
<Transcript ends>

About Bionoids:
Bionoids, intelligent beings created through a process that combines cloning with robotics. The term Bionoid specifically refers to female beings produced through this method, male's are refered to as Bioroids. The terms come from the terms Android and Gynoid, male and female modeled robots, with the prefix Bio- to signify that they are living beings. Although not considered a formal name, the common, gender-neutral term for bionoids and bioroids is 'bioid'. Bioids are less expensive to produce than robots as they are 90% biological, and faster to produce than full clones, which take time to grow and mature.

The body of a bioid is made from the DNA of a living human, grown around an artifical endo-skeleton, augmented by nanomachines to mature rapidly. As a result, a bioid has a mostly organic body supported by its artifical skeleton, making the bioid slightly more resiliant than humans to certain trauma.

The method for creating a bioid's brain is a tightly controlled secret, but what is known is that a bioid brain is more than 50% artifical. Corporate theves have found that Mikaru Systems has developed a process of digitizing a human brain and reproducing it as an Artifical Intelligence and is using this technique to produce bioids. It is unknown what part of the brain in a bioid is controled by the AI.

The presence of an AI in a bioid's brain allows the bioid to be controlled to some extent by an outside entity. Each bioid has a specific controller keyed to it through which another being can issue simple commands. Due to fears of bioids rebeling, devices called Disablers became available on the black market. Highly illegal, Disablers are able to mimic a controller's signature to disable a bioid, usually by having the artifical part of a bioid's brain release large amounts of neurochemicals, largly enorphins.

Bioids were orignally created as servants for humans, especially as sexual partners, as, before then, only robots were available. However, the military application for bioids became obvious. Robots do not experiance a human's hunches about situations and lack that intuitive quality that makes humans superior soldiers despite their physical shortcomings. Clones are expensive and time-consuming to train, requiring just as much time as a normal soldier, and clones generally perform slightly worse than natural humans. Bioids on the other hand, are cheap to produce, quick to train (thanks to the bioid's AI), and have a human's gut feeling.

Viola Bionoids:
The Viola line of Bionoids were the first bioids to be considered for command roles. The early models displayed too much of Viola's sense of justice for their creator's likings and were all distroyed (rumours persist of a lone Viola Alpha that escaped distruction and is in hiding. Mikaru Systems denies this rumour). Later models were much more suitable for their creator's desires and as the process became more refined, specialized Viola Bionoids were created. Currently there are nine models of Viola Bionoids in active service.

Viola Beta models are the closest to the original Viola of all active models and typically occupy command positions, coordinating the other Viola Bionoids.

Viola Gamma models were created to be combat pilots. Viola was one of the Alliance's greatest pilots, so after the command series of Viola Beta, it wasn't hard to create Viola Bionoids with an emphasis on piloting skills.

Viola Delta models are civilian models contracted out to local governments as security advisers and law enforcement experts.

Viola Epsilon models were produced for the Alliance black ops programs. Their capabilities are unknown.

Viola Zeta models are designed as instructors for military colleges.

Viola Eta models are simple soldier bioids, often leading small squads under the supervision of a Viola Beta.

Viola Theta models are infiltrators and sabatours, given more freedom from their AI to work behind enemy lines. They are closely monitered by officals to ensure they don't go rogue.

Viola Iota models pilot heavy ground armor.

Viola Kappa models are sold as private securty guards and advisors to wealthy patrons.

Viola Theta #36 "Circe"
Circe is a typical Viola Theta that was left on Titan when a high level military officer on the colony requested transport off the station, forcing the already full transport to leave behind some soldiers to make room. Circe has been informed that the next transport may not arrive for some time and that she is to be on standby until the transport arrives. She is proud of humanity and somewhat distainful of the alien races that seem to have left the humans to fight the unknown enemy alone.

That took much longer than expected. Considering the relativly small scale of this game, I really didn't need to go into this much detail, but I guess I'm like that...

Re: The Colony

Looks like fun, I'll take the civvy.

Character Sheets: Pretty straight forward.
Name: Ashley
Race: Human
Class: Civilian
Level: 1
AP: 2
FP: 5
MP: 4
EP: 12
Strength: 2
Dexterity: 3
Intelligence: 3

Equipment (List Below):
Civilian Clothes (7 Durability), DX2 Pistol (1 damage, 3 rounds per clip, 17 clips), Access Card, Devlin Peacemaker (d3 Damage, single shot, can pierce armor, 4 shots).

-Backstory maybe. But this is my preferred rape-bait charry, so I can at least give the usual description: Black hair with light blue highlights that falls to her shoulders, D-cup breasts with little pink nipples, wide hips with an ass to match, about 5'5" and of average build in terms of muscle vs fat, and rather pale skin.

Edit: Background - Ashley had moved here after getting a degree in nursing, but had yet to find any work other than at a local diner as a waitress. She had moved here to be near to her ex-boyfriend, Donny, who was a soldier stationed at Firelight base, and had custody of their 5 year old daughter, Alysa.

Experience: 1

Changes:
Increased Dex by 1 and FP by 1.

Re: The Colony

Double Post ahoy. The game begins now. Anyone who doesn't have a back story can still choose one; it will help me add some fluff to the writing bits, and make it just a little bit more fun.

North of Firelight Base, Viola: The Carmine Forest
Viola awoke groggily, her face covered in scratches from the thorn bush she had fallen in. It took a minute for her system to reboot, which immediately began to search for some kind of radio signal, hoping to connect with a Viola Beta. Sitting upright, she began to go over her gear, checking to make sure it was all in working order. As she chambered one round into the Hamilton Sniper Rifle, Viola realized there was no Beta around to give her orders. That meant... Head to the nearest base: Firelight.
Everything had been so blurred since the invasion hit Titan; she had been at the star port, a mere 10 miles away, when she heard word of people being attacked in the area of Carmine. She took a quick run through the forest as her command interfaced HUD exploded with chatter, nearly obscuring her sight. She didn't know what the enemies looked like, but she knew they were annihilating the soldiers. As Viola sneaked through the shades of the trees, a young man burst from a leafy overhang, babbling about 'them' being behind him. Viola was quick to take up position, even as the young man kept running.. but before the enemy appeared, there was a loud, reverberating boom, making her ear drums ring; her vision began to blur, darken, and then...
Well, then she woke up in a thorny bush.
Not getting a secure connection with anyone, Viola made sure the rest of her equipment would do the job she needed, then began the trek to Firelight Base...

Position: Two miles North of Firelight base, heading in that direction.

East of Firelight Base, Hali: Yisvari Genetic Lab
The Emergency Container slowly opened in the dank, dark store room, releasing a cloud of mist that slowly descended to the floor... and soon, tumbled out a red-head woman, falling heads-over-heels as she awoke from stasis. Groaning, Hali sat up, rubbing her head as she glanced about. Yes, this was the storage room, where she was last before the sirens had gone off. But why here, in the storage room?
Ah yes, that was right. Her colleagues had asked her to go get some more electro solvent to help them bind down a faulty chip in one of their servers. While she was in the room, looking for the solvent, the alarms began to ring, the emergency stasis pod opened - and without thinking, Hali threw herself into the pod, helmet and all. Putting on the aforementioned gear, she began to look around the closet, wondering why power was off, and soon wondering why her limited VI wasn't hooking up to the Titan Security Network. Slowly making her way out of the area, she saw the emergency lights on either side of the hallway, pulsing lowly; somehow, they were running out of battery power. Following the lights, it led her to a non-secured stair case, taking her up... She paused for a on the fourth sub-floor, to look into the window of the area she had come from. Everything was dark, and she could swear that one of the stasis pods was open; but since the door wouldn't budge, she continued up, up into the main entrance for the lab. It was deserted... and everything outside the glass wall was deserted too, it looked like. Chewing on her lip, the red head decided it would be best to head towards the nearest base: Firelight, just to get her bearings and meet up with any other emergency personnel.

Position: 2 Miles East of Firelight.

West of Firelight, Reya: Security Point Titan-3
Reya didn't remember much; the throbbing pain of that loud, echoing boom, even with her neural dampeners; then she awoke with rubble from the top of her bunker atop her. Pushing the debris off her body, Reya stood up with her helmet on, trying to access her security feed. The big shock came not when she couldn't find the network, but when she finally began to look around.
The entire security checkpoint, while being one of the smaller ones, was completely demolished. The area around her was covered in a thick layer of grayish-white dust, and only her bunker remained. Wiping some of the dust off her shoulder and her rifle, Reya quietly leveled the weapon, keeping it at the ready, as she started towards the closest base: Firelight.

Position: 2 Miles West of Firelight.

South of Firelight, Ashley: Julie Anderson's House
Julie Anderson was throwing a late birthday for herself, and Ashley went there out of spite, mostly; but there was cake, too. The cake helped the deal. Excusing herself to go to the bathroom, Ashley only heard a loud boom - and before she knew what happened next, her vision faded to black.
Now she awoke, in a dry pool of her own blood. Ashley had hit her head on the toilet. Luckily, her wound had healed on it's own, and now left the right side of her face covered in the brown, dry blood. Cussing, the woman stormed out of the bathroom and down the stairs, shouting at the guests at the party - only to find the side of the living room with a hole blown into it, giving a clear view of what used to be the neighbor's house. Swaying from side to side, Ashley tried to comprehend the situation, tried to figure out what to do... when it popped into her head: Go to Firelight base. That was what she had always been told. No matter what happened, go to the nearest military or security base, and you would be helped. Nodding to herself, Ashley took out the small DX2 pistol she kept hidden beneath her shirt, and looked out the door towards the North...

Position: 2 Miles South of Firelight base.

Mission (Everyone): Get to Firelight base.

The first few turns will be rather... automated, until we get to the real gameplay.

Re: The Colony

(I made a basic background and edited it into my sheet. Whether or not it actually matters in gamer is up to you.)

Ashley groans in pain as she awakens, and as soon as she can, gets up to look in the mirror. Finding half of her face covered in her own dried blood, Ashley very nearly loses her cake as a bout of nausea comes over her. Trembling, she checks the side of her head in the mirror, finds that the wound has already at least partially closed, and sighs to herself as the nausea mostly dissipates. It's quickly replaced by anger, however, and she storms out of the bathroom and downstairs, ready to give Julie Anderson a piece of her mind. How could the other people at the party have left her there? Surely someone must have heard the thump she'd made when she'd bashed her head open on the sink, even after the loud boom she vaguely remembered hearing just before losing consciousness.

She stopped in her tracks when she spotted the massive hole in the side of her house, her mind racing despite the fact that her head was still killing her. Something terrible must have happened. Her mind went a mile a minute, trying to come to a decision about what to do, before she finally remembered that her daughter, Alysa was somewhere out there. Probably still at Donnys house with whatever witless whore he was fucking at the moment, Ashley thought bitterly. Unfortunately, she had no idea where that might be, since Donny had refused to tell her where he lived when she'd talked to him. That meant that she either had to wander aimlessly looking for a 7 year old girl that she didn't even have anything more than baby pictures of, or try and find Donny. For a brief instant, she considered the wandering idea, but knew that time was of the essence, so she drew the small pistol she kept hidden under her shoulder from out of her shirt, and started heading for Firelight. Since it was the designated evacuation point in the event of any crisis, maybe she would find her daughter there before she even found Donny, though Ashley doubted that she'd be that lucky.

Re: The Colony

"No serious damage. Good." Circe confirmed, shaking her head. She looked around her to try to get an idea of what happened. Whatever it was, it knocked out the artifical part of her brain which normally allowed her to operate, at least somewhat even while unconscious. With her AI just now returning to operation, Circe wasn't really in a position to do much except think. She briefly considered how other Viola models would react to having their AI shut down. As a Theta, her brain contained the least amount of artifical components. She smiled as she reflected on the current situation.

The station came under attack. Did the enemy make it this far already? They must have found a way onto the station. Considering the size, that shouldn't have been hard. If the transport had stayed, they might have been able to help with this, but they couldn't have known Titan would be attacked. Still, they should have left a larger garrison behind. I saw those reports stating that Titan was vulnerable. Why didn't they listen?

Her musings stopped when her AI came back online. Unable to find any sign of friendlies nearby, Circe began to follow the standard protocols. Report to the nearest military post. As she readied her weapons and gear, she ran through the list of military posts and checked them against her current position. "Firelight, that's the closest one." She locked the base's location into her navigation system and nodded as a marker appeared in her vision to the south, and set off through the trees.

As she traveled, she briefly considered sending an omnidirectional transmission to search for survivors, but if it were to be intercepted by the enemy, she would be giving away her position. Alone, she couldn't do much, once she could get an idea of the situation, she could be much more effective.

(Also, how do we regenerate EP?)

Re: The Colony

It had been another routine watch away from the base, where she would be on "the lookout" for any possible assailants, and would pretty much sit in the bunker on her rear until her replacement came to take over. In short, nap time for the most part, as nothing had required this post to take action in decades, an unsurprising matter to be honest. As realistically, nothing would ever require her to. The alien races had all bowed to the humans without any conflict whatsoever, peace was abundant in most, if not all settlements...what need was there to stand guard for anyway? Better to just rest, take it easy, maybe catch up on some sleep...

Those were the last thoughts of the marine known as Reya before the big "boom", which served as the prelude for her blackout, thoughts that were mostly forgotten by the time she woke up, her head hurting...and with the top half of her bunker atop her. Groaning as she shifted it off, she would naturally attempt to access her security feed, if perhaps, only to get a better idea of what happened...and found that she was unable to connect to the network. When she looked around...that was when the shock and disbelief began to set in.

"My...god...an entire installation?...How?...What...?"

While it had been true that her security installation had been a smaller one than normal, for such to be wiped out so easily...and some perfectly...was almost unheard of. Shaking her head, as if to clear her mind, the marine would quickly begin to gather herself and remember her training.

Alright, so the bunker you were stationed at, was destroyed in the blink of an eye...alongside the surrounding area. When you tried to access the security feed...you couldn't connect to the network. Which could mean that there's...no, stop. Thinking in my head like this isn't going to get me anywhere. Best to go investigate for myself.

Taking a deep breath (perhaps only figuratively if her suit didn't allow for it), Reya would steel her resolve as she turned to the east, the direction of Firelight base, weapon at the ready. Although her weapon may prove useless against whatever was laying waste to large areas with little effort, it was still more comforting to have it out and capable of dishing out death if needed. A psychological effect if one would. Then, filled with determination and resolve, the marine would begin the trek on foot towards the base, on the watch at all times for suspicious movement or activity.

Re: The Colony

Something was clearly an issue, I didn't know what it was, and it almost scared me to find out what the answer was. I shook my head free, the idea wasn't to scout the problem, the idea was to get back, I wasn't a soldier, I wasn't built for fighting... Maybe if I made it back to Firelight I could get some answers. I moved to the exit of the main lab, the mass transit system was somewhere near here I thought, I could get outside and find it.
Something had caused the sirens to go off, which was an issue, but it could have been any number of things that had gone wrong. Knowing the way things were, it was probably someone in my department. Whatever higher power there was obviously couldn't get enough of their addiction to explosive material. It must be hilarious to watch them dink around with high explosives in a setting like this one.
Everything seemed empty, it was quiet, too quiet... Was it a trap? I wondered, it reminded me of the hangar I worked in back on Earth... Always empty... Always lonely. With a heavy hearted sign I rubbed my right temple with my palm... Where was everybody? "Anyone around?" I asked walking through to leave the building.

Re: The Colony

All your stats can be replenished by sleeping; FP is replenished by rest and some items; AP is replenished over time and by some items; Durability is only replenished by being repaired or replaced.

North of Firelight, Viola: Leaving Carmine Forest (Parking Lot)
Circe moved slowly through the artificial forest, keeping her sniper rifle ready as she went. She reached the southern parking lot, and found many of the cars still intact; some had doors that were open or torn off, while even more just seemed like they had been abandoned. Stopping near one of the cars missing a door, the biod closely began to inspect the damage... It looked almost like a Meta-Human had grabbed onto the flimsy, plastic material used to make these cars, judging by the marks. Wondering if this was some sort of Meta-Human revolt, Circe continued out of the parking lot...
North of Firelight, Viola: Constantine Trail
Constantine Trail wasn't really a trail; it was a paved road, but it was the only two-lane road on Titan. Luckily, it led right to Firelight base, which she could see just a mile away...
Incoming Transmission!
Circe's HUD lit up as she received a transmission from a Virtual Intelligence, marked as Kiera - from Firelight Base! Quickly, she accepted it...
Making Connection... ... ...
Connection established!
"Hello, Viola Theta, Marked Number 36; Codename Circe. I'm Kiera, the VI at Firelight Base. I seem to have a... problem... that my auto defenses cannot relieve. You're currently within a mile of courtyard, as well as three other friendlies... but that's all I have on my radar. I know you don't have a Viola Beta attached to you right now, so I'm taking control for this moment. Please, help me eliminate the enemies in my courtyard, before more break into Firelight!"

With that, the link with Kiera was lost, with a small update on her HUD showing she was only .9 mile(s) away from Firelight, her current objective.

Position: One Mile North of Firelight Base; Enemies inside Firelight's Courtyard.

East of Firelight Base, Hali: Inside Ysivari's lobby
"Anyone around?" Hali asked. When she didn't get a reply, Hali realized something was -very- wrong. A colleague's misuse of explosive materials wouldn't cause a factory-wide evacuation. Pulling out her DX8 Pistol, Hali slowly stepped out of the lobby and onto the evacuated street. She suddenly flashed back to an ancient movie, back on Earth; after the dead came back to life, a single lady was the only person left alive in the town...
Shaking the thought from her head, Hali picked her way carefully through the street, amongst the broken and abandoned cars, as well as the general litter along the road.
East of Firelight Base, Hali: Outside Jennet's Apartments
The red head stopped as she looked at one of the remaining buildings: Jennet's Apartments, around since Titan first started. It was like most other complexes on the space station; stark white, built like a giant block, and uncharacteristic; but it offered discounts to anyone in the military - including Engineers like her. She lived there a long time ago, back when she first joined... but ever since her income upgrade...
"Hello?"
She jumped as the soft female voice sounded in her helmet. Looking around frantically, her green eyes spotted in the top left corner of her visor: Connection Established: Kiera. It was the VI from Firelight base, whom had always been Hali's liason.
"PFC Hali, it's good to see you near our boundaries again. I would have contacted you a when the invasion started, but the enemy was quick to take out our Neural Network. Now that you're close enough, I can contact you over a LAN. I hate to inform you, but you've been activated now that Titan is under attack; and because of this, I could very much use your help at Firelight Base. My auto defenses are being overrun. Would you mind terribly destroying these enemies for me?"
Hali didn't have a chance to reply before Kiera dropped the chat link, but still left the Engineer connected to the Firelight LAN. Biting her lip, she looked back at the apartments, deciding she'd check back later, before heading towards Firelight.

Position: One Mile East of Firelight; Firelight Courtyard under attack.

West of Firelight, Reya: Security Point Titan-3.
Reya took one last look at the security checkpoint that she had called a bed for so long before heading towards Firelight. She could easily see it in the distance, waiting for her arrival...
Something caught her eye. A plum of fire erupted from over one of the metallic-silver walls. There was something wrong with Firelight! Without thinking, she began a hectic run towards the base, never breaking her stride as she dodged between overturned and abandoned vehicles!
West of Firelight, Reya: The Long Stretch
Reya didn't even notice she had entered a zone called 'The Long Stretch' - which was literally a long six-lane highway, leading right to Titan-3. The pill boxes on either side of the road, once loaded with high-tech armor and weaponry, lied mainly destroyed, with only six of the 90 in tact. She didn't realize there were no cars along the road as she ran towards Firelight, breathing heavily. As she did, a small bar popped up on her HUD.
Establishing Secure Connection... ... ... ... ...
Secure Connection Established. Kiera, Firelight Base VI now synced with Heavy Armor Mark IV; Tagged to Lieutenant Reya.
"Lieutenant Reya, this is Kiera of Firelight Base. You're the highest ranking soldier in the area, so I need you to take control of this situation. In my courtyard I have ten unidentified hostiles, attacking and destroying whatever supplies I have left. They just destroyed one of my munition bunkers."

Reya breathed out a ragged "I noticed", before letting Kiera continue.
"I have four friendlies, including you, inbound on my location. Two of them are either working in the military or ex-military; the other is an armed civilian. You will need their help to defeat the enemies.
"Lieutenant-Commander, I also have distressing news; many of my security systems, both internal and external, have either been knocked out or are out of ammunition. My remaining stores are being used on two gatling guns, trying to keep the enemies at bay, but some have still gotten into the base. When you arrive, we will need to eliminate any Hostiles from inside Firelight, at least on the first and third floor.
"Please, Lieutenant-Commander; We will need a leader now, and that leader is you. Kiera out."

The connection dropped out, leaving Reya alone as she rushed towards the base. This probably wouldn't even get her hazard pay...

Position: One Mile West of Firelight Base; 10 Unidentified Hostiles in the courtyard.

South of Firelight, Ashley; Julie Anderson's House
Yes, going to Firelight was the best decision. She could tell Donny how much of an ass muncher he was later... and maybe clean herself up when she got there. She moved out from the giant hole to the street, looking up and down it, finding the entire blank street rather... odd... Shaking off the thought though, she quickly began her trek North to Firelight.
South of Firelight, Ashley; Mikaela Washington, Courtney Sills, Haven Suragama houses, and the Decido-Mart.
Ashley continued walking down the street, looking around. She had found a few cars, but none she recognized. A few of her friends lived around here, and the Decido-Mart was cheap, but might now have been raided... or destroyed. Not quite willing to go scrounging with such a weak pistol, she continued on, spotting an APC parked haphazardly on the sidewalk and someone's lawn. Looking inside of the vehicle, she spotted a helmet with it's yellow visor flashing. Picking the object off the floor, Ashley took out the headset and visor, putting it on as she looked through the tinted HUD.
Connecting to Civilian LAN... ...
"Hello, Civilian? My name is Kiera, the VI at Firelight. You may have heard of me, you may not have, but that's not important. What's important is that you get to Firelight base -now-. We've been breached by the enemy, and will need your help; I can tell your armed from my sensors. Don't worry if you've never been in combat before; Just stay behind our fighting soldiers and you'll be find. They'll need your help making sure they don't get flanked.
"Oh, and keep your headset on; I'll need it to get in contact with you again."

The connection was shut off, leaving Ashley slightly confused as to what just happened. She at least got some brand new bling from the APC... and Firelight was still the safest place that she knew of. Biting her lip, she started towards Firelight, the HUD putting it at less than .8 mile(s) away.

Position: One Mile South of Firelight.

Current Quest (All Players): Save Firelight!

Re: The Colony

Zombies? Why would I think about zombies at a time like this? I was no Jill Valentine, or Alice... X... I was just Hali Que! Or... Hali K! Zombies were not something I was prepared for! I could defeat a diagnostic on a billion dollar piece of equipment in less than half the time of another tech, but zombies were a different ball game entirely! I growled quietly to myself, keeping my eyes wide open and scanning my surrounding, moving slowly, through the back alleys. All the ass backwards ways to get to work that I took to keep from getting bored.

Shifting through the allies I kept my ears open, my eyes and my ears, at their peak... I wouldn't let anything get by me... Was there anyone around? I wracked my mind for the location of our evacuation point... Without a second thought I knew I had to look for survivors.

Re: The Colony

Whatever did this must have been large. Meta-Humans and some of the aliens are the only things I can think of. Circe ran her hand along one of the gashes looking for signs that whatever tore into the vehicles had left some abrasion behind that could, at the very least determine if the damage had been done by metal claws or organic ones. As she was inspecting the tear, Kiera contacted her, snapping her to attention.

Upon hearing of the situation at Firelight, Circe dropped what she was doing, slung her rifle over her shoulder and turned towards the base. "Understood, I'm on my way." She responded and started to jog towards the base, but stopped half-way through the parking lot. Speed was vital here, if any of the vehicles in the lot were servicable, they would get Circe there far faster than if she had run the distance. Moving through the vehicles as quickly as possible, Circe looked for any that where known to have combustion power plants. Whatever took her AI out would likly have fried the electronics in these cars as well, but some people still prefered the more reliable, if archaic, combustion engines, which should still work. Circe made only a quick survay of the lot, time was of the essence, and if her search came up empty, she would leg it to the base, throwing stealth to the wind in favor of speed.

Regardless of her method of transportation, once on her way, Circe tried to get in contact with Kiera again. "What can you tell me about the enemies? Are they armed, how many are there, and what species are they? Also, what are the status of the three friendlies. Would it be possible to set up a communication relay through you so that we can communicate and coordinate before arriving?"

Re: The Colony

For a moment, Reya had believed that maybe, just maybe the base would have managed to have held out against whatever had destroyed her bunker, and that just maybe the situation was already in the process of being brought under control...without her having to lift a finger. It was a faint hope, a straw that she was trying to grasp at for reassurance...a straw that would burn to ashes when the plum of fire erupted from within Firelight's walls. For such was a clear sign...that something was horribly wrong, and that rather than walking at such a leisurely pace...she should be running to the base as fast as she could. Which she did, throwing caution to the wind, and composure to the wolves, the marine began to run as fast as she could towards the base in a desperate attempt to reach it before anything worse happened.

In fact, it would not be until she reached the highway that she managed to collect herself again, if only because she found herself beginning to run short on breath. And even then, the composure would only be kept, for as long as it took for her to finish processing what she had learned from the transmission...

...Me? A person assigned to the most useless watch outpost. The highest. ranking. soldier in the vicinity. And expected to...what? Eliminate an unknown number of hostiles as acting commander of two military personnel possessing questionable skill...with a civilian as backup?! What. the. floating. fuck?!

The orders she had been given might as well have been a death sentence, for the chances of a ragtag squad, consisting of three military personnel of questionable skill and one civilian, clearing out an unknown number of hostiles capable of leveling bunkers and overrunning a fully functional military base were about as high as winning the galactic lottery and walking through a solid wall right after. Another hopeless straw to grasp at...and the only one she had left. Cursing fate, destiny, and lady luck, Reya would continue to run towards Firelight base, fervently hoping that something would break her way at one point...

Re: The Colony

West of Firelight, Reya; The Long Stretch
"Lieutenant-Commander Reya, I have a request to link up with your personal communicator. I can patch her through easily; but I fear it may actually make it easier for the enemies to triangulate the short-wave radio frequency I'm using."

Position: The Long Stretch, contemplating the situation (while heading to Firelight).

North of Firelight, Viola; Constantine Trail
(Search Check - Intelligence... Success!)
Viola searched along the streets, looking back and forth, before finding one of the only things that still ran on a somewhat combustible engine: A Valkyrie V-6; the civilian motorcycle model, of course. As she went over and tried to see if there was a way to hack into the onboard computer. She wasn't too familiar with the Civilian Model...

"Currently awaiting reply from Lieutenant-Commander.
"I'm unable to determine what the enemies are; my optics are down until the cooling duct in the sub-basement can be cleared. My Gatling Guns can only paint targets, not visualize them. They're currently armed with odd weaponry that doesn't seem to pierce armor; The enemies are of an unknown species, but seem to be humanoid."

(Hijacking Valkyrie - Intelligence... Success!)

Viola swung her leg over the motorcycle, starting up the engine as she waited for a reply from this 'Lieutenant-Commander'.

Position: On a Valkyrie, 1 Mile North of Firelight.

East of Firelight Base, Hali: Jennet's Apartments
Hali continued on, knowing that the search for survivors would have to wait, especially since Firelight was the closest thing she had to an evacuation point - let alone a safe haven. Pressing on to Firelight, she arrived at the base rather quickly...
Firelight Base: Entrance to the Courtyard
The Engineer had never been in a real fight, but still knew what to do from her training. Pressing her back up against the open gateway into Firelight's courtyard, she took a quick peek around the corner, listening to the rattling of a gattling gun. She spotted seven enemies, tall, bulky, and... green?
Hali slid back to her cover, making a quizzical face. She peeked out around the corner again, taking a much more careful look, as the enemies hadn't spotted her. Without a doubt, these humanoids, scantily clad, were green, and using only pistols as they tried to combat Kiera's gatling guns. They were using supply crates as cover, and worked in a disorganized fashion to shoot at the automated guns. This had to be explored scientifically!
After they were dead.
(Hali can attack now, or wait for reinforcements. As long as she isn't spotted, she won't be forced to attack.)

Re: The Colony

Seven of them? Seven? Why would this happen? And the Gatling guns were active! This was insane, where were the marines? This was there job! I checked quickly to see how the green skins were taking cover, if I could force them out of cover with my pistol, they'd be ripped apart by the guns. I gripped my pistol tight, holding it tight, my knuckles turning white. "These things are going down... Fucking zombies." I said, breathing deep... I couldn't hold myself here for too long... I counted to three inside my own mind, one... two... three... Then I popped around the corner and fired off a few rounds at their position. All I needed to do was to get them to move and Titan would do the rest.
