The Dungeons

The dungeons are a large area of tunnels and caves, where all manners of fiends dwell. Many a bleached bone of a humanoid lost in the depths of the Other Realem have been brought here and made prey, leaving behind quite a stash of weapons, however...

Previously:

Alexis has ventured in here to gain more equipment for the portal's destruction, but has also ran into Dr. Ritter, a mad demonoid naga, and been transformed. Oh, and did we mention the future soldier Genera too?

Alexis stood in the center of the room and looked around at the various tunnels. She turned to Nerix and Silvar and said, "Alright, it's time to go kick some Seraph ass." She raised her new plasma rifle to look down it's sight, then sheepishly asked, "Now where do we go to do that?"

Ritter sighs and crosses her arms, her biocannon pointing away from her body. "I am as lost as you are. But I trust our arachnoid friends will lead us there." The pockets on her coat are showing bulges of ammunition, and a flashlight pokes out of her cleavage.

Silvar nodded. "Yes, we'll lead you to the portal as promised, come on!"

The two Vagaries took the lead, carrying thier bows and looking out for trouble. Genera followed thier lead.

"See, everything is going to be alright." Dr. Ritter gives a reassuring smile as she follows the two Vagaries.

"For you maybe..." Alexis said, flexing her new fingers and swishing her new tail unconsciously before running to keep up with the others.

The group makes it into the room they had left before without incident...

Ritter says nothing, she just patiently waits for the Vagaries to lead them to the portal.

Alexis looks around the room a bit, making sure no new surprises had shown up while they were away then asked the Vagaries, "How far is it to the portal?"

"Not too far," Nerix said as they moved on again, trying to reach the end of the path quickly. The next room too is empty.

Alexis speeds up a bit to catch up to the Vagaries, being careful to watch out for anything dangerous.

Ritter, on the other hand, hums a little tune to herself - The Adams Family title theme. Her hands twitch as if she wants to snip along.

It was as they went into the next corridor when you heard something behind you guys, a loud growling echoing through the tunnels...

Alexis whipped around, plasma rifle ready for whatever might be coming. "Does that sound familiar?" she asked the Vagaries.

"Let's kill it." Ritter's tone is definitely cheerful.

The growling soon turned into the sound of more creatures. Seemed like a very large crowd too, which means there could be trouble!

Alexis' fear of these creatures was starting to get the better of her security training. "Th-that sounds like a lot of whatever they are," she said, audibly shaken. She begins to back away from the growling sound towards the next room. Her hand slips down to her belt, clutching one of the grenades as tries to spot someplace to hide, while still keeping her plasma rifle pointed in the direction of the sounds.

"I agree. We should try and hide." Dr. Ritter grabs a mini-turret and backs into the next room, together with Alexis.

As the group heard the sounds of the creatures getting closer, they suddenly realized it was coming from all the entries. An entire horde of demons were coming at them!

"By the stars, we're soo screwed," Genera said, raising her Bolter to fight anyway.

Dr. Ritter whips around and faces the Vagary. "Can you carry us to the ceiling? Maybe make a rope for us to climb up on?"
