Is it just me experiencing a cloudflare error when trying to load the first page of this thread? Started happening like a week ago
Can happen anywhere on the site. Cloudflare is a CDN service and when ulmf goes offline, cloudflare is letting you know and offering a cached version of the offline website.

The thing is I can't even get a cached version, sometimes it just loads the first page infinitely. Essentially locking me out of the first page. Tried on a different pc, web browser and with a different IP, nothing seems to fix it

The only way you "could" fix it, is to buy a new server for the ULMF website to be hosted elsewhere and or to better improve/protect the current server from what is most likely a DDOS attack on the server. Nothing "on your end" could possibly fix the issue.

Anyway, this thread is about Bioasshard, not why you (and everyone else) trying to access this website is having issues.

whenever i try to start your game, my oculus software starts with it and its played through my VR...weird thing but idk how to solve it

edit: also i dont get any sound...nevermind, but the sound is played straight though my oculus instead of using my windows settings to use my normal headset

edit2: okay this gets realy weird now, since i unplugged my rift from my computer and then the game started steamVR AND my oculus software, eventho i dont even have a VR connected to my pc...so basicly i cant play it with sound currently

edit last: yes, tryed everything i know about to get the sound on my normal gaming headset....this is rather annoying to be honest but nothing much i can do about currently

I have to say thank You. I love resident evil since the first one came out and i always had a crush on jill since then.
You really did a great job so far Animation, mechanics, graphics and gameplay are really well done for a 0.0.1 Version. multiple Characters in Future updates
Wow man and your jill Modell is perfect.
Not much left say.
Im eager to See what the Story is and what you do further but i know it must been awesome!

By the way what enemies do you add?
Zombie dog, Hunter, drain deimos or something like that?
I for one pretty much share the same thought here. I'm also a huge fan of Resident Evil ever since day 1 of the first game and Jill is also my fav gal :p
One thing I really hope that this game turns out to have is undressing from the enemies. That would be hot.

its very good so far. i cant report any bugs or flaws that havent been pointed out already, however,
all i ask is that you avoid feature creep. it tanks even simple pixel art H games, i've seen feature creep utterly destroy 3D games even faster.
keep it simple, keep it as skill based combat. i'd suggest against adding a leveling system or even a weapon upgrade system. better to make a variety of weapons with different uses, similar to RE4 or 5.

VersusX Instead of having a set amount of time, why not use a system similar, or shamelessly steal, from the game Extinction Crisis Point. Where you have them infinitely rape you until you start to QTE your way out. Making for a scene where you'll get what you want multiple times, it may ruin immersion, but i honestly think that is one of the better systems i've seen.

Yep, like we have ever since RE4. A failure try over system could also be added, as in if you fail to free from a grapple you lose some clothing and so on.

Tried it out, wasn't bad. Aiming mechanics and hitbox could be better. I can shoot something in the head, and it won't register a lot of the time. I also agree with others here when they say the animations could be longer, and allow camera angle change because... Well, it gets wonky sometimes. The inflation is kinda hilarious if you hack your health and keep getting raped, Jill got kinda big. That's one big Jill sandwich over there...

I tried to hack the health couldn't figure it out ;/

I did get the ammo though... 999 bullets. Took like 200 to clear that zombie room >.>

This has as much potential as it has issues. During the 4 times I've tried this my controls got stuck thrice. Loading times are insane, controls a bit clunky still. At the same time I'm impressed how closely it mimicks its source material, I genuinely want this to be good. Guessing by the miniscule version number this is still super early so I'll definitely look forward to some updates.

Adding on here about longer animations, continued H scenes after death, clothes destruction, and grapples. Just as well, you might want to consider conjuring up an alternate appearance/name for the main heroine in case copyright issues crop up. I understand that to be a real threat when these sorts of games get enough attention.

We wanted to add a cut-scene, even if it was a short one like that, to see how them work in Sequencer (the tool to make them in UE4). That's the main purpose of the Arena, to add features that will then be added in the game when they're tested and fixed :)
We're working right now in trying to fix the majority of the camera issues during sexttacks. The better we can, having in mind that we can't fully test it (specially the upper zone). Hopefully they should be fixed (or almost fixed) with the first patch.
The Jill exploding model bug is something we'll be looking into too. At first I thought that was only a bug on my end but looks like it's something more serious. I didn't notice any similar bug on infected (they're not zombies :rolleyes:) so that would be first news on them. I'll take a look at them too. Thanks for reporting this bug.
The bug about the infected being the same in the sexttack is something I forgot about. This is because of the mod system (to change infected appearance) I started to add but that's not present in the Arena. The infected tries to load the values from it and end up with default values :(. Thanks for reporting this one too. Hopefully will be fixed for the first patch too.
Sorry I'm not a fan of giving that kind of reward when the player dies lol. Even if the sexttacks look like that kind of 'reward' it's more story-based than anyone might think.

You don't need to hack ammo to clean the upper zone. In a decent PC I played it (went to a friend's house to play a porn game, the best way to gain best friends forever lol) I managed to end it with 170+ bullets in the inventory, just by getting the ammo that most of the infected drops in there :)

Yeah that's weird. It happens to me too a lot. But weirdest thing is that it happens almost every time I try to access this topic but not with other ones... :(

Sorry to hear that. I don't have VR stuff nor the game uses any VR feature. So I can't test why or how that happens. I blame some default option that is turned on in UE4. I'll make a search and try to find a fix for that in the first patch.

Yeah, I know what you mean. We're trying to be as faithful as possible to RE5 while adding/replacing/modifying some aspects to make it more unique. The game will feature different weapon types. A weapon upgrade system similar to the one in RE5 is in the works too. No leveling system tho, that's not something I want for an RE game lol.

Sexttacks are a wip. Grapples would require some work, specially animation work (and we're not animators :eek:). But I personally would like to add some kind of similar mechanics to them. Don't know yet how exactly but we'll see ;).

That idea came *secretly* (lol) here in VXS, we didn't mention it publicly but it's in there as one possibility. We don't know yet which one will be chosen, until we test them. Maybe some of the ideas will made its way to the Arena for everyone to share their feedback on it. That will hep us decide too :). Thanks for the suggestion!

How was the frame-rate for you? There shouldn't be hit registration problems if it's not too laggy. There's camera angle change right now using LMB/RMB but the clip as hell with walls, floors, etc due to the impossibility of testing it because of my adorable (but prehistoric) PC XD. We aim for a free camera in the future.
You don't need to hack your health to get the max inflation value, just get attacked from the back. It will get your stamina damaged much more than your health.

We're aware of the majority of the problems and trying to fix them now for the first patch. Still not sure about the long loading times. Hopefully that will be solved when the settings menu is added.

I only hacked the health to see every scene. Framerate was otherwise fine, loading time was a little long but not unexpected. Though there were times when I whipped out the knife without the gun equipped where Jill became stuck in the knife pose and she wouldn't move again.
As for the guy who hacked the ammo, the health value starts at 100, it's a 4 byte value.

over all look kinda good(never play any RE though) but that only 3 sec scenes.... really frustrating, need to fix it first(and fast, like 0.0.1.1 version, maybe) adjust duration? may work or maybe press F to change scene idk

Found that value eventually, was a bit difficult to find. Only bug I found with her being raped so much, is the doggy style creampie finish... the camera seems to go into the ground or something for it because she's so big haha

I've been testing that bug with the knife but with no success in reproducing it. Also took a look at the code for it and spotted no flaws :(. Right now, the other bug with the knife reported (pressing to interact while aiming the knife would get Jill stuck in place with the only chance to restart the mission) is fixed. So it'll be added in the first patch.

6 secs* xDD. Yeah that's being worked on. About it being the first fix (or even 'fast'), that won't happen. We're already working on the first patch and it will include a bunch of fixes, probably including, increasing the duration of sexttacks, but won't make a 'fast' update just for that, sorry. But shouldn't take too long before the first patch comes out ;). Honestly it wouldn't make any favor to make a patch with the exact same bugs just add a longer duration for that, and would make us to lose more time with compiling for just that.

Oh man, that pc, even if it's year old (at least the cpu as you mention) it's still beast. Even more if you compare it to mine :eek:


-I recommend you guys to take a look at our patreon if you didn't recently. We added a short post about the latest progress on projects, including the update for Bioasshard. And let me tell you something, that percentage is already outdated :rolleyes: (but don't tell anyone, it's a secret xD)

When I got stuck with the knife, it was at the very start when I was trying to figure out the controls. The moment I picked up everything off that table and aimed the knife and pressed RT on my controller I got stuck. Which required a forced restart. I duplicated the problem more than four times.
