(OOC) DND Unchained Chat

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Unless they are capable of instant planar travel, I actually don't.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Actually, I just realized that if dropping a weapon is a free action, I can drop it, cast a spell, then summon it back - all in one turn because summoning a bonded weapon is a bonus action. This is nice.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I'm confused, why does your Duelist need to drop their weapon? You can use your off-hand for magic, such as an amulet or other religious symbols.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Cus she's using a shield. Duelists can use shields without losing their bonus.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Yup. Duelist is great for sword and board, and I am rolling sword and board.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Okay. I am back kinda. Two places now have said they'd have wifi and had no wifi so will be phone posting for the next week

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Alright, since I can't find the option to remove sold equipment or make orcpub show the carried gold anywhere on character view screen, I think I'll just work on moving Aria on to Mythweavers. It might not be automated, but it's less annoying.

Also, regarding the shopping. Studded leather is 45, component pouch is 25, total 70, ten percent off bumps it down to 63. Assuming I traded in the leathers at 50% buying price, which is standard I believe, that'll be five gold. Which means final price is 58 gold. Correct me if I am mistaken anywhere.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I'm pretty sure there's an open section that will allow you to put notes and gear, similar to DG's normal character sheet. You can also just put them on your Post in the forum normally and edit them without having to visit orcpub.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Maybe, but I still can't figure out how to remove starter gear (if sold or lost) and orcpub in general seems to have a few issues with firefox.

Plus, I find Mythweavers more comfortable on account of being a lot more compact.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

That's fine. I just saw Orcpub as a way to have an intuitive interface and to encourage updating information. I'm half terrified to go look at people's sheets because I know at least one among you very well, and I'm afraid there may be more who have an obsession with not updating their sheets. Despite being available to do it, despite not being busy. They just don't do it.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

That reminds me, do we keep the same corruption weaknesses/buffs or can we change them? I'm sure we've the same corruption scores, but figured I'd check on the picks.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Sorry for the haitus. I was having some issues with the super secret side group, which I'll post logs for when they return. I was hoping to finish their gig in a day, but it didn't turn out that way. I'll resume normal posting now, despite the fact that now the group exploring the docks is now floating in limbo.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I couldn't think of too many places to put it, but I added a fan made homebrew ruleset for running a Business. Since Dnd 5e is far more RP oriented and such, I figured fixing up some obvious flaws with the downtime rules was in order. Namely being that running a high cost business should be profitable, not costly.

The link to the changes and agreeable complaints are in the Treasure thread.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Ranger, Anna is drunk, she rolls ability checks and attack rolls at a disadvantage.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Roger that. Didn't actually realize it was a condition.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Fixed. Got 14 (10+4) on the re-roll for Disadvantage. Edited it into the post

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Question, so basically this is the same world, same prior events but with different characters right?

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Effectively. We swapped with an alternate reality counterpart of ourselves. They came into 'our' world and the memories of everyone warped to make them think they were always there. If we switch back then people's memories would switch again.
