Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

I think Yan and Sekla are both seeing the same problem... our group just won't fit in long term in this city, unless we can find the rebels.

It may well be a city, but if we are hiding out in a certain place, then whoever we hide out next to is going to start asking questions about the new girls. And that means cover stories. And we still don't have one that fits.

So even if we go with the "just some more strangers in a big city" defense, that will fall away pretty quickly.

And quicker still in a LE society that is actively hunting for rebel cells that are known to be in these parts.

*bops Breckole*

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Been a while since breckole has said anything...

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Hmnn the campaign has overall slowed down. Meh.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

We keep losing people :p

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Think we should wait or should I be like oh where'd she disappear to? Did we miss her? Or was she ever there to begin with?

I'm tempted to npc her and have her swiftly snatched up later.. but not too tempted, because.. more work for me.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Could have been a shared figment of our imagination. Damned mindscapes!

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Alright, I poked Breckole, I dun get an answer soonish, we'll just move on without 'em, shame but.. *shrugs*

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

No answer so far, are you two cool with me running this one more like an erotic comedy than a distopya, cause I dun wanna end it with the two of you invested, but at the same time, playing it hardcore srs is hard with dropouts left and right.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

I'm okay with it being erotic comedy.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Kind of a hard tone change but I certainly understand the difficulty. I guess we can try it?

Not really hard, been running this semi-seriously already.

If you have a neat other idea I'm open but its just hard to keep the narrative coherrent, if you follow.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Even a comedy needs to be coherent.

I guess the tonal change I'm agreeing to is that it's not going to be all doom and gloom.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Heh it seemed all doom and gloom? Anyway, I gave folks an idea and removed Breckole from the picture the best way I could.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Hrmmm.

A part of me doesn't want to turn Corgana into a futa. Zilrax we need to hash this out. If you want Yenna to play a DICK, then I suppose she could drink the serum, and that could I guess get us potential accesss to places with more serum.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

If you prefer sexy female mistress I can run with that, though one way or the other you need more potion/alchemisting.. or a througout reconditioning of Corgana, before she falls back into.. her old ways. *winks*

I'll let you decide details on this before continuing IC.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

I don't mind either way. Sekla's not the submissive type most part, but she can pretend. It's more a limit in her knowledge and ability to deceive in the long term and such.

Pretending to be an enemy agent tends to be trouble because of hierarchy. Still strikes me as just a reallllly bad idea. Not for any long term bluff. That being said chances are we'll all still have to bluff pretending to be proper bimbos, so exposing ourselves to heavy scrutiny, or at least Sekla, is not a good idea.

But well if we gotta do this, Sekla can probably spend some time trying to alchemy something up. Pity I'm too low level to just Locate Creature our boss.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Well, if we don't pretend to be one of them then we're doing all stealth, all the time.
