Re: Curse of the Crimson Throne: Edge of Anarchy (IC Thread)
"Very well, I shall announce you to Her Majesty as you request."
Taking in the party's choice of introductions one by one as they rounded the corner, Sabina would opt to don a wry smile as they approached the doors to the Throne Room. Then, after an initial knock on the doors, she would indeed announce their arrival loud and clear, true to her word.
"Arriving are Jessica of Korvosa, the entrepreneur Raven Keats, Izak, Elizabeth, and Ankieseth: Retrievers of Her Majesty's brooch!"
"Enter."
Stepping aside as the doors swung open, Sabina bows and gestures for the group to enter...

The throne room, as one would expect, was quite magnificent. Lavishly decorated with frescoes, mosaics, and hanging tapestries of gilt crimson silk...truly quite the difference from even that of the common nobility. Three colorful stained-glass panes on the windows present scenes of past kings and queens. A huge fireplace stands in the east corner, its mantle shaped like an enormous stone tree that has spread its branches up to the ceiling. Against the southwest wall, on a low dais of granite, sits the Crimson Throne itself, and iron throne draped with deep red silks and velvety crimson cushions. And upon that...the ruler of Korvosa, breathtakingly beautiful to some, even in spite of her mourning dress.
Queen Ileosa
Pensive, stiff, or perhaps rigid is her initial disposition...not even bothering to glance at the ones returning her brooch at first as her gaze is directed at her handmaiden. However, once the latter had returns the brooch to her in a flourish, before returning to her side, she finally manages a smile as she turns her attention to those gathered before her.
"This brooch was stolen from me some time ago- I had not expected to see it again, truth be told. And yet, here on my darkest day, you come before me with kindness. The return of this brooch is much more than an honorable deed. It is inspiration. It is hope. For that, you have my gratitude."
