Sera begins patrolling the Apple Inn, looking for any threats...

(Perception check)

Sera spots what looks like a giant beetle, with human like legs and tentacle arms.

*Sera has the initiative.*

Sera frowns and shakes her head. "Ew." she rushes forward, drawing her sword as she goes to stab at it's face, since beetles have hard shells...

The beetle quickly steps away from her stab.

A tentacle attempts to sweep at Sera, but she ducks under it.

Sera grimaces and since she's low, she swings her sword in an uppercut at the softer underside of the ugly thing. "Too slow!"

Sera barely managed to catch it as it was backing away, but her slice did great damage to it.

(Enemy attacks)

Another tentacle attempts to snatch her legs, but she jumps over it.

Sera grins at seeing the attack staggering the creature she leaps into the air and drives her sword down into it. "Go down!"

The bug leaps back and her sword meets the concrete.

It was too busy recovering from it's leap to make another swing.

Sera instantly spins and slashes at the creature, figuring it's off balance enough for her to stand a chance!

her spin only cuts threw air as the bug continues to back away.

(Enemy attacks)

The monster's tentacles find victory as they wrap around her arm and leg, toppling her to the ground

(Sera has been grappled.)

Sera yelps and tries to hack at the tentacles binding her with the sword, if necessary, taking her sword with her other hand.

As she's quickly dragged in, her sword meets it's body.

It was unfazed, but it's obvious it's near death.

(Enemy attacks)

Many small tentacles sprout from it's back as they work through Sera's clothes, and rip them off.

Sera knew she had to get it off of her, or she'd quickly be giving herself to it as she drew her arm back and tried to stab her sword straight into it....

Her sword hits home, and the bug drops dead.

Sera takes a deep breath and continues on, heading into the first house she sees...she's gonna find clothes there, and maybe loot!

Sera jumped away when a crab looking monster attempted to land on her.

Sera raised her sword and lunged forward, going to stab it quickly with her shortsword!

It's armor was quite thick, and her stab didn't go very far into it.

She found it to be very slow, as avoiding it's pounce was easy.

Sera grins and when it pounced and missed, she tried to slice off one of the legs, figuring it might slow it down enough to kill it for good!

Her careful aim for such a small target failed as it pounced before she could slash it.

Sera simply steps away from it's pounce.

Sera spins again, the other direction, slashing roughly at the thing's leg, figuring she needs to hit weak points to get rid of an armored enemy.
