Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

if possible someone please pm me the game

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

I've been working on gathering slave requirements for all untranslated clients. It's not complete, as I don't have access to White palace/Administrative spires yet, but all shops/Raven Tower/Vatican/Tierra del Citadel are done. Potion/spell information from earlier in the thread is also included. Original credit is not mine, but I added more information to the potion effects.

Edit:
Added White palace and Administrative spires, though still partially unconfirmed.
A few other small changes.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

I just downloaded the latest version (1.2) and the patch (1.2.1) from the author's blog.
Can anyone refer me to the latest translation?

I don't mind if it's a machine translation.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Hello there. So as you know, there is a new update with a lot new stuff with it, but it untranslated. If you wanna help with translation, I have a repository for translation project: https://github.com/thevm/jack/tree/english
I did some things already, but it will take a lot of time working alone with this, so you can help if you want.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Hello all, im having problems to get the game to work correctly. Iv downloaded the game from old hunters blog and then the english translation from the link in the first post (in the bottom under the update log).

Iv extrakted the files from the game and added the "Jack_eng.qsp" file in the folder with the "jack.qsp" file. I run the "Jack_eng.qsp file with fastQSP player i first get the "ACHTUNG!!!" warning screen were i can click on "Yes, i am an adult..." but when i get the the next screen, the game menu all text is extremly small, and i cant click anywere!

Anyone got a fix to the problem or know what im doing wrong?

Sorry for bad english as its not my first language!

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Furry_me, you can't use old translation with a new version, because there's some few core changes, that not will work on the old version of the game, so you'll have to wait until new translation arrives.

Its quite fun that the readme is in russian, but i guess its a readme for helpers, not for end users. I guess you will add together and qsp-ify all of the translations as soon as you feel like the project made enough process?

Yes, of course.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

The version I got from the blog seems to be incompatible with the translations.

So, I'll humbly ask for a version that works. If someone would be so kind as to link me in a PM.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Note: I'm not allowed to post URLs, so you'll have to use google and look earlier in the thread. The QSP tools are available for free download; google for txt2gam and click the "Developers" link at the top of the translated page for QGen.

the-vm seems to be working on a translation on github. You can compile it yourself in the mean time. You need Python 2, a git client, and the QSP tools QGen and txt2gam.

I followed the instructions in "first way to merge this" on the readme, with a few changes needed. First, in split_file.py, change
Code:
for file in listdir(dir):
to
Code:
for file in listdir(unicode(dir, 'utf-8')):
(Otherwise it may barf on the unicode filenames.)

Second, I needed to use a different process in QGen after merging jack.txt.

First, make a backup copy of jack.qsp, like jack_original.qsp. Then open jack.qsp in QGen. Immediately "save as" jack_en.qsp--QGen seems to save automatically sometimes. Then import the merged jack.txt into jack_en.qsp. Save. This QSP doesn't quite work for some reason; something's probably missing. So re-open jack.qsp--which should still be original--and "merge" jack_en.qsp. Confirm replacing all the events or whatever. Then save, and it should work.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

How far is the translation project? All files in the online folder seem to be edited in some way or form, but i cant seem to tell how far the project might be.

~88-90%. I was busy lately, so translation goes pretty slowly. Sorry about that.

I knew youd get me wrong. I just wanted to get an update, not be annoying about it. If your busy, dont sweat it. Take your time, your already doing something great for the community, thanks for that :)

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Can someone PM to me the latest version of this game that has been translated?

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

Come on guys, it's not done yet. Wait a little longer, please.

Re: [SLG] Jack-o-nine-tails

What has been changed since the patch?

How does it compare to the community patch one?

Also put me on the queue when its done.
