No that's her! But it -is- an early illustration of her that came before I started animating the sprites, so the face is slightly different to what you'd expect in game.

And wow, that picture's awesome! Yeah that'll totally happen, that is in fact the second sex move the dog enemy will have with Amber, something I've got in the rough stages but not nearly good enough to show off yet!

Thank you though Tlazol, taking the time to draw something from a thing I made isn't something I'm at all used to and it's really made my day to see the effort put in; really, thanks dude, it means a lot.

Actually, while we're on the subject, I should let you guys know the specifics for the sex animations and such to give you a better idea what I want to go for:

- each enemy is going to have two sex animations minimum, depending on the design of the thing and what I can come up with.

- There will be a divide in the types of acts performed on Amber based on the gender/ type of enemy, so as a rough guide the female enemies will attempt to make her climax as quickly as possible whereas the male enemies will try to 'transfer the infection' as effectively as possible.

- It won't be a feature immediately for the sake of making progress in more vital areas, but the plan is that when Amber's pleasure meter reaches full she will, of course, climax; what I want to happen is an animation specific to the stage of sex animation she's currently in to play at this point, with any enemy/sex move, coz... well, that's something I always like to see in stuff like this!

That last one is of course for later down the line, but the more I animate the more I enjoy the process so I'm saying now that I'll try my best to make that a reality!

Thanks DrossVamp! I don't plan to make the whole Furry aspect of the game too much of a thing, beyond the fact that all the characters are, if you see what I mean xD

There won't be anything specifically in there for the sake of furrydom, so hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the content without feeling -too- crowded by the visual style of it ^^

Hey Everyone,

Thought I'd post something in the way of progress, try to keep the info flowing on what's happening; below you'll find an NSFW picture of a game over CG I'm working on, currently minus shading and 'liquid' effects but you'll get the idea well enough I'm sure:


Is everyone alright with these smaller progress reports on here? I don't mean to spam post but I want to show off some stuff like this when I can, but if it's irritating I can save up stuff for meatier posts and do it on a less regular basis.

With luck more content like the above will be getting completed now that a lot of the more banal assets are done to a standard; Not that I'll be giving away too much of course!

Oh also, in relation to the picture above, feedback is very welcome; if I could ask in fact, what does everyone think of the 'camera angle' as it were? I tend to enjoy drawing out the full body when I'm drawing but I know there's also a lot of appreciation for images with angle shots, or maybe half the character on screen, or...you know what I'm talking about, that sort of stuff. Perhaps a mix? I dunno, just spit-balling while I carry on the work!

It is totally up to you how you want to share updates in what sizes. No size is too small, if there are updates on your game its your thread so it's not spam. :)If anyone is "annoyed" at how much you are updatin, they can get over it :mad:

Thanks guys, I appreciate the support; I tend to get a bit too worried about etiquette on forums and stuff, my timid lurker status hasn't quite washed off XD

I'll remember to be more liberal with the posts and give progress updates as progress is made; to that effect actually I'm going to put in a couple of things below. One is a post I made on the blog about the direction I'm taking the game in which may be of interest to people, and the other is some linework I thought I'd post as a thank you for the support :)


Blog Post:
I wanted to address a couple of things I've been thinking about in regard to the game, just so as I've gotten them out there; it may be evident by now but I'm not all that good at sharing the info regarding development as I really should be!

As work has trundled along and I've been speaking to some of my friends regarding the game, it occurred to me that I haven't really given out any story or context within the game, and that's something people might quite like to know; as such I've been writing out some little narrative bits and putting what I have in my head to paper (or word document, whichever). I'll be putting these up in a new section of this site once they're done to give everyone a taste of what I see the narrative being, so keep an eye out for that.

This also led to a discussion about the nature of what I'm creating, and whether I was really taking into account the fact that, at the end of the day, the game I'm creating isn't really going to be appreciated for it's plot or setting primarily; my view has always been that it's better to have for the sake of immersion either way, but this does run the risk of alienating one side of the audience to cater for the other, no matter which decision I make.

So my solution for now is this: I'll actually be making two separate versions of the game, one including all of the adult features that I know people are looking forward to and one simply containing the story and non-adult gameplay for those who would just like to see a furry platformer.

Now this does NOT mean that I'll be devoting more time and attention to one than the other, and as far as my intentions for coding and content go there's no real change in what will be done other than the 'grapple moves' initiated by enemies will be health-damaging ones rather than smutty ones.

The narrative and reasoning I've set up for this thing occuring to the player character can actually support both these versions quite well, I believe anyway, and I think with this direction in mind I can assure people that the focus I've always had for the game - namely to make it a fun, tight, interesting platformer - isn't going to be marred in anyone's eyes by the inclusion of sex and adult stuff.

I understand that some people may be put off even by the idea that an adult version exists, but I suppose I'm not going to be able to cater for them in the first place. I've found something I really want to do in my life now in making video games independently, and I can promise this isn't any sort of altering of quality or intent for the game, or indeed and kind of scaling back of the adult features I intend to add. This is intended as more of an assurance to everyone that my focus here is on making a good, fun game that can be enjoyed on its' own merit as well as having the option to enjoy some good adult fun in the same environment, if that's your thing.

Thanks a lot for reading, this decision has given me some great ideas to implement further down the line, but for now work continues steadily toward the first playable version of the game!

I could understand making a porn only version, though any of us that are playing just for the porn are used to going through story that we don't really care about, but a story only version? Typically having a non-porn version (usually it's just a toggle) is used in games you can speed-run.

Thanks for having a read Super Slicer, especially with a reply that's made me have a further think about what I want to attempt here.

I can't say you're wrong in the points you're making; it would definitely be less work on my part to make the one version and stick with that, or as you say make a toggle for the adult option, and it may even be as development carries on I'll decide to abandon the idea and call it 'streamlining' to make myself look cool!

In all honesty though, the primary reason I'm doing it is for my own satisfaction, and to force a sort of quality assurance onto myself as well. I'd like to carry this on as something that I might be able to support myself on, but much as I enjoy making this adult stuff I don't want to rest on my ability to animate sex scenes when I want this game to be fun in its own right, and to teach me how to code a platformer engine that would come up to my standards were I playing a game not made for the purpose of porn.

It probably seems pretty weird having to make such a comparatively big gesture just to keep myself focused on what I already wanted to focus on, but in real terms this doesn't really change too much. I guess I just wanted a way to let everyone know I was focused on making an actual game that could stand on its own as something fun, rather than a glorified animation gallery that I'm sure we've all seen pop up on here from time to time.

...Also I have cousins who are aware I'm making a video game and want to play it, and I'd like to be able to give them something that doesn't have a trace of porn in it for the sake of my continued existence within my extended family!

As for the last point, I can't really make comment on Furry buying habits, mostly because I don't feel I need bother if anyone's seen the fandom for any length of time (certain elements of it, I should say), but it's my hope that I can fill this gap in the market with something of quality that will get me recognized and allow me to make further games than cash out once on something that doesn't have much substance beyond the porn aspect, and with luck this idea will allow me to do that a bit more effectively, if only in my own mind.

TL;DR I certainly agree, this move could quite rightly be seen as pointless and muddled, but in the interest of self motivation it's given me a boost and that's the main concern when it comes to finishing a project like this single handedly!

Don't worry, the H stuff is still going to come first :) in terms of development that's all I'm working toward currently, the above is more speculation on what I'd like to do in the future once things are better established!

Long time no post! Had some things going on lately that I outlined in a blog post a few days back, so I thought I'd post it here for posterity:

Nothing too much to report lately; work has been steadily going on, mostly focused toward the adult animations as I know that's what people are chomping at the bit to see! As such the Anthro Rat is well under way in terms of the sprite animations and CG, the feral Rat, The Female Office Worker, etc. etc. Are all getting attention, and despite the newfound difficulty of such complex and fluid motions (for a self taught person such as myself) I think I'm managing to get in a lot of fun details like boob bouncing, clothing shifting etc. and learning to do so quicker!


...Things haven't gone as fast as I'd like them to have though, it's true; life has gotten in the way a bit more than usual, family health issues and such, and more recently one of my three cats who'd been with us 10 years was hit by a car, and I only found him a few days after the fact. I'm sure fellow pet and cat lovers will attest, things like this are kind of akin to losing a family member in some senses, and it's been pretty hard on the family to lose him. Pretty hard on my work ethic too, if I'm perfectly honest.


But things are still shaping up! The lucky thing about these sprite works is, you don't necessarily need to 'feel' it like you do when drawing something, you know? If I'm in a mood to draw things go pretty well for my skill level, lines sync up, work gets done quick; but if I'm not in the mood I cannot make anything go right, no flow whatsoever, as I'm sure a lot of you can relate to. But sprite animations are more...mechanical in nature. It's all mouse/keyboard stuff, all reliant on anatomy and positioning, and while a good mood and a good flow is very helpful in getting these sprites done, it isn't a detriment as such for me to not be in an artistic mood because I can simply focus on the mechanical element of the process.


Anyway sorry, rambling, I hope this gives some clarity as to why there's been relatively little progress of late. I'd like to keep as full a disclosure about my work and my life as I can while doing this so I can show you guys my commitment to getting this done and making a career out of making fun games for people to enjoy; that does of course mean letting you guys know when I don't quite step up to the mark like I should be, but I hope it shows my commitment to keeping you all in the loop :)

TL;DR Cat died, family issues, usual biz.

And beyond that, I've got a nice content treat for everyone who'd like to see some actual new content! After the weeks of bleh I tried to get myself back into the work much as possible and am happy to say I've got both a sex animation and the subsequent Game Over CG to show you!

Especially the animation, It's only really the main moving parts that are done to standard while the detail still needs to be put in (rat's head moving more, rat's tail moving at all, clothing inconsistencies etc).

Now you're doing a mix of anthro/feral it seems, what sort of percentage between the two are you looking at (if you know at this early point, that is)?

Thanks man, glad you like! I'm probably not gonna include pregnancy in the game for the time being at least, but you do raise an interesting point; for now the idea is the antidotes you'll have to take in the game to clear any status effects and get your health up is also used to halt that particular process, if recently copulated with xD

I definitely like your style Captain! Yeah I do quite like the feral stuff myself as is probably evident; the way I plan to do each level is to have something like 3-4 anthro enemies and 3-4 feral/nuiscance/trap enemies, a lot of the other two probably being feral or mutated in themselves; and a Bat is actually on my list! Though I'm not entirely sure how to design it, I'd love some suggestions if you had any ^^
