"It is a waste of bullets, yes. Also might leave us open when the inevitable need to reload comes up. I do have ten rounds per gun, plus another six on the revolver, but looks like yours has only the normal six-round capacity. That can leave you seriously exposed in a bad situation." Isabella further highlighted the cons of random shooting. When it came to splitting up the party, it was a quick decision that the sisters had most likely always used. "We'll go the usual way. Me and Lacri will go together, you three go as another team. I trust Sister Lacrimosa to protect me well enough, so you three should go together and take care of each other." Rachaela was the one to decide.

The teams split up there, each going down a different path of cubicles. A little distance in, the girls in Adelle's team could see a few discarded syringes on the ground. "Oh, great. Looks like he's injected something. This will probably make the whole thing even more difficult." Mariela whispered, confirming that these might be some sort of enhancement drugs. Only a few steps onward, the target suddenly leapt out from a cubicle, taking a swipe at the leading Mariela with a massive pipe wrench. But the girl was not born yesterday, her reflexes enabling the evasion before any real hurt happened. Only the blade girl herself could have retaliatory strike before the man retreated back into the cubicle, managing to swipe at his side with her pink katana. A loud thump followed, leaving the girls with a scene of a kicked-down back wall of a cube, and two possible directions where the man might be going.

“Yeah I've only got my six shooter here, but I've got a speed loader so I wouldn't be as hard pressed while reloading as you think,” Adelle said in response to Isabella's words.

After deciding on which course of action to take, Adelle was about to ask which group she should go with before Rachaela told her to go with Mariela and Isabella while she went with Lacrimosa. Once ready, they all set out in two groups, Lacrimosa and Rachaela In one, while Adelle went with Mariela and Isabella in the other.

A little ways down the path that they were heading down, Adelle and the others noticed a few used syringes laying on the floor. “Yeah, probably stimulants, adrenaline, or something to make him high if I had to guess. We should be really careful from here on out,” Adelle said after they saw the discarded needles.

A few steps later their target jumped out from a cubicle and swung a pipe wrench at Mariela's head while Adelle and probably Isabella too jumped back, Mariela managed to evade the swing at her head before he hit her thankfully. Mariela then was able to get a swing at his side with her pink katana but Adelle wasn't sure if she managed to hit him or not as he jumped back into the cubicle before Adelle or Isabella could take a shot at him. They then heard a loud thump as Adelle offered Mariela her hand to help her back up, and when they saw the back of the cubicle they saw the wall had been kicked out, leaving only two directions he could have gone.

“Lacrimosa, Rachaela, he's over here!” Adelle called out to their two companions as she pulled Mariela back to her feet. Then she went over and looked down both directions and chose whichever one had the most destruction down it, believing that to be the path he took, while pointing either Mariela and or Isabella down the other path. It was up to both of them which way they went however, so they could follow Adelle down the path she took, or both could split up, or both could go the path opposite Adelle.

There was no real discernible way to determine the direction of the target's escape, but there was only two office corridors to choose from, so there was not that many options to begin with. While they heard what Adelle told them, the girls had other ideas in mind. Isabella broke off by herself, turning to head towards the area where Lacrimosa and Rachaela were likely going to be coming while Mariela sticked with the busty gunner.

But the direction proved where Isabella went proved to be correct. When the pair were at the opposite corner, they could suddenly hear sounds of battle coming from the opposite side. A thunk of metal, a girl's cry of pain, a zap of magic and a gunshot. Soon, Isabella could be seen retreating back towards them while the target and Lacrimosa clashed in melee. The nun sister had a small amount of blood coming down from under her habit, most likely a result of just being hit with the moderately large tool. While there were enemies on both sides of the corner, it seemed the man had less fear towards Isabella than Lacrimosa.

When Adelle went down the way she'd chosen, Mariela followed her, while Isabella went the other way. Not far down the direction she'd chosen though, she and Mariela heard Isabella's the sounds of fighting and struggling behind them, and Adelle stopped on a dime, turned, then sprinted back towards where they heard the sounds.

“Damn, figures I'd pick the wrong way, come on Mari we've gotta help them,” Adelle said to her friend, running as fast as she could back towards the fray.

A moment later, they saw Isabella retreating towards them and Lacrimosa in close combat with their target, while Rachaela was nowhere to be seen. They could see the nun woman had a bit of blood on her that was likely caused by the weapon the man had. When Adelle saw Isabella coming towards them, Adelle aimed her gun over Isabella's shoulder at their target.

“Izzy, duck!” Adelle shouted to Isabella, aiming very carefully at their target and only shooting at him when she new she wouldn't hit any of her companions in the process.

Isabella was quick to the warning, pressing herself against the wall to allow Adelle a free line of fire while shooting one shot herself as well with the gun on her left hand. While there was a good path, both girls managed to only hole up the wall next to the melee combatants with their blasts. Having previously pondered where Rachaela was, the busty girl got herself a reply as another blast of magic soared over Lacrimosa's shoulder and into the wall as the man managed to sidehop the incoming projectile. Only the nun sister herself was having any success, hitting the man to the gut with a harsh straight but only ending up with a wrench hit to the side herself. He tried to hit another time as well, but the first hit had already given Lacri enough caution and she backed away enough to prevent herself from getting hit.

While the others fought, Mariela skipped past Adelle after her shot, intent on getting into the melee to help Lacri with the man.

If you wanna keep showing them that's fine, if not then don't worry about it. I'd personally like to see how badly I miss sometimes so I can lol at it, but to make it all quicker I don't mind you not showing the rolls sometimes.

Isabella saw Adelle aiming towards her and went flat against the wall and also took a shot at their target, though they both ended up missing. It seemed that Rachaela was okay too as Adelle watched as a magic blast hit the wall beside the two holes in the wall from her's and Isabella's bullets. Lacrimosa was the only one that got a decent hit off on the guy but was quick to pay for it with a wrench to her side. Adelle watched Mariela speed past her after she shot at their target, closing the distance to do what she did best as she readied her blade for battle.

“Come on Izzy, let's go and surround him so he can't get away,” Adelle said to Isabella as she made to follow Mariela, hoping she and the other gunner in their group could get behind the guy so he had no avenue of escape.

The melee carried on as Lacrimosa and the man kept up with their test of strenght and skill, each trying to score hits on the other but not really managing it. With the addition of Mariela, the target was sandwiched by the fighter types, now practically trapped in the small corridor with Lacri and Rachaela on one side, Mariela backed by Adelle and Isabella on the other. The wall and a structural support pillar were on his sides, so there was no real way to move into. Still, the fighter types weren't too willing to close with him, Mariela's attack attempt ending up on the man's right arm. It only managed to peel a strip of skin away, revealing that he had a cybernetic arm hidden under the artificial skin. The other wielded the wrench, so practically he had a weapon for both sides.

As Adelle and Isabella moved into position behind Mariela, Rachaela did the same behind Lacrimosa, effectively hemming the man in and trapping him. When Lacri and the man closed to throw a few punches at each other again, they both ended up missing from what Adelle could see, and though it wasn't very damaging, Mariela managed to cut a small part of the skin on his right arm, which revealed that it was a cybernetic arm. This revelation actually kind of scared Adelle a bit and she took a step back before remembering that they had to take him dead or alive, and so she glanced over at Isabella and nodded, then aimed her gun at the back of his head while Isabella took aim elsewhere if she wished.

“Let's get him before he takes Lacri or Mari out Izzy,” Adelle said to Isabella and then squeezed the trigger and fired at the back of the man's head when she had a clear shot.

"That was the idea..." Isabella replied as she holstered the C96, switching them out in favor of the massive stopping power that her huge revolver would bring into play, taking aim just as Adelle did and almost firing in unison with her. Both girl managed to score hits even with the man being sideways towards them, Adelle's own shot hitting him in the side while Isabella's blew a hole into the cybernetic arm. It was still intact somehow, but doing anything precisely with it would likely be impossible until repairs had been performed. Still, it would serve as a weapon pretty much as efficiently as before, even though it failed to block Mariela's blade this time around. On the other side of the man, neither Lacri or Rachaela were having success. The nun sister failed to make an impact, while it seemed that the caster of the group had a magical mishap as a slight zap could be heard from her location but nothing came out.

Following the attacks of the girls, the man was getting pretty pissed. Growling with barely contained rage, he smashed both Lacrimosa and Mariela backwards with his arm and wrench, managing to actually hit them both pretty hard.

Adelle vaguely noticed Isabella switching guns to her large revolver as they fired almost simultaneously. Both of their bullets seemed to strike true this time around as Mariela's blade sliced into him. As she and Isabella moved in closer she noticed both Lacrimosa and Rachaela failed to hit him, with the latter of the two having her magic screw up and fizzle out before it could fire properly.

They watched as the guy growled out as he swung both his cybernetic arm and the wrench at both Mariela and Lacrimosa, knocking both girls back and wounding them slightly. Adelle could tell that Lacrimosa looked more than a little beat up and so she aimed at the guy again and once she had a clear shot on him, she'd squeeze the trigger again, pumping another bullet into him, she aimed at his legs to try and slow his movements down some with her shot.

Adelle's starting shot of this exchange went right where she had wanted it, into the guy's leg. It was a decent enough hit, taking out some of his mobility. All the other girls proceeded with their attacks as well, only Isabella managing to miss her loud revolver blast. Even Rachaela got her spell attack to work this time, looking a bit blackened from the aftermath of her previous spell failure. For his part, the man they were aiming to take down didn't flinch on the attack, doing a repeat of the previous turn and once again pushing the girls back with his attacks. While it was clear that the guy was hurt and frustrated, he wasn't apparently one willing to go back so easily.

Adelle's bullet struck the man right in the leg like she wanted it to do, wounding him further and hampering his movement that much more. Adelle watched as all the girls made their own attacks, with only Isabella missing with her huge revolver, which Adelle figured if it had hit would have killed the guy. She noticed Rachaela's face was blackened from what she thought was the spell she's messed up a few moments before.

“Come on girls let's finish this and go home,” Adelle said to the others, aiming her gun at the guy again and firing.

Even as she mouthed the words, Adelle fired again, missing her shot. Almost as if answering the earlier request, Isabella's gun finished the fight after her failed shot, Mariela's stab leading the target into position so the gunner girl couldn't fail her shot. While the massive magnum hit the side of the man's head, the armor plating in there prevented a total cranial explosion, only resulting in a bit of brains and blood flying onto Lacrimosa and to a lesser extent Rachaela before the dead person smashed into the ground.

Adelle's bullet went right past the guy, but Isabella's bullet that was right behind her own slammed right into the side of the guy's head as Mariela stabbed him with her blade and pushed him right into her sights. The resulting blast to his head killed the man, though the armor plating in his head kept them all from being splattered by bits of his brain thankfully, though Lacrimosa and Rachaela both got a little on them.

“Well, I guess we got him. (Sigh)... let's take a minute to catch our breath before we start heading back. This is the guy isn't it?” Adelle said to the others, plopping down onto the floor next to the dead guy and looking at the picture of their target and the one they'd just fought to make sure it was him. Once they'd made certain this was their guy and after they had caught their breath and rested for a few minutes, they would take the body and make their way back up to the surface for their reward.

Comparing with the picture they had, Adelle was able to identify that they indeed had executed the right target. It might not have been a good thing if he had been a totally different person, after all. After having had their rest, the group picked up the dead man, two of them needed to haul him.

But it looked like they were not going to get away just yet. Back at the catwalks, they managed to get only a slight distance further until someone came to them. This time, they were met by a caped individual, who silently came to them with a decent-lenght, polished stick. From the lenght and look of the thing, Adelle could safely assume that the stick carried a hidden blade in it. Otherwise the one meeting them was a pretty hard individual to identify, though it could be seen from her body shape that this one too was a female. Also, she wore tight clothing with boots, most likely a bodysuit of some sort. Size-wise, she was about Mariela's size, though a bit skinnier. The strange person didn't talk, silently holding her position and following their reactions while maintaining a posture of readiness.

While they rested Adelle reloaded her gun, then once their rest was done and they saw they'd killed the right person, they saw that it'd take at least two of them to carry the guy so Adelle offered to if only one of the others felt like it. After they did set out back to the surface, they managed to only get a short ways along the catwalks back down when a caped figure came up to them and stared silently at them. Adelle could tell from the shape that it was a female wearing tight clothing and was about as tall as Mariela, but slimmer. Adelle looked around at the others to see if they were going to say anything, and if they did not then she herself would look back to the girl in front of them.

“Um... who are you miss? And what are you doing all the way down here?” Adelle would ask in cautious tone, not grabbing her gun from its holster just yet as she didn't want another fight on their hands so quickly if she could help it.

The mysterious stranger didn't seem to care too much about Adelle's words. Instead, she simply maintained the ready stance, eyeing the cautiously. After some further silence, a slightly robotic yet still noticeably female voice spoke to them from the confines of the hood that kept her face hidden. "Leave the body and go. Your only chance." she called to them, gripping tighter on the stick.

At the girl's words to them Adelle would look back at Mariela and the others with a preposterous look on her face. Unless the girls did as this new girl told them which Adelle doubted they would considering what it took for them to get this far and their mark, then Adelle would just give a little laugh as she turned back to her.

“Our only chance for what miss? We've come a long way to get this guy because it's our job, we aren't going to let him go that easily when we worked so damn hard to get him, that's just stupid,” Adelle said to the hooded girl, then waited for an answer as she moved her hand to be near enough to her gun to whip it out in a hurry if need be.

Only a slight headshake of dissappointment came in reply to Adelle's words before the woman started to move towards them, apparently past the idea of talking by now. She held the stick in front of her as she advanced, gripping it with both hands as she got closer and closer, causing the other girls to get their weapons out while Lacri and Mariela dropped the dead man and got into frontal positions to defend the less close-combat oriented ones of the team.

Adelle watched as the girl shook her head in disappointment and started moving towards them, holding her stick in front as she started towards them. Adelle did the same as the others and drew her weapon and took aim at the girl.

"Look sister, I don't know who you are or what you want, but we aren't letting you take our mark, cause we worked to damn hard to get him. So why don't you go scavenge from someone else instead of trying to take what's ours. I'll have you know that I happen to need the money from this mark to live on. So go away," Adelle said to the girl, aiming her gun at the her legs to shoot them out from under her if she looked like she was going to attack. She hoped the girl would see that she was outnumbered and back off when she saw the five of them ready to fight.
