Re: LustFire Artworks (2/11/14)

That's a p.good pic.

While looking at all your art though, I do have a question. The breast shapes are always quite firm. Is that how you like breasts to look? Not a complaint or criticism, just wondering out of curiosity.
That's probably something worth looking at. I could force the breasts movements away from the center to see if that can change the perspective.

Azure's logic moving toward "firm breasts" probably got in my subconscious. -.- On another note, I have 2 more CGs for a game demo. 12 more in total for the final game. On the topic of breasts, this one's intentionally inflated.

Agreed on this. Maybe try some breast studies if it's not intentional? Not sure if you're interested in critique, so I'll spoiler the rest of this post.

They look rather like fake breasts atm. Even with anime's gravity defying nature, they usually aren't quite so round and still follow gravity a bit. Something to remember is that breasts typically "slope" on the upper half because of gravity, and are rounded at the bottom.

Even if you don't like studying from reality, you can just "enjoy" some of these and you will still get a good idea of what I mean (Girl in the first link has anime proportions and is gorgeous), it will give you an idea of how pliable large breasts really are.

Porn site links, so be careful:

At about 3 minutes in she's upright.

Large breasts can look a little strange when hanging, but it can help you understand how they work, you can always just exaggerate the way smaller breasts hang

For comparison, fake breasts (Notice how they're like orbs):

If you really want to avoid any realism for whatever reason, here are some of the better quick tutorials on gelbooru:

Sorry for not linking directly, trying to avoid them getting removed for being hotlinked to.

A lot of people think doing studies from reality means you have to draw realism, but you can just take the information and exaggerate it as you please.

I feel like I was kinda talking from ignorance when I mentioned something about breast types. I should have thought more about what YOU actually enjoy seeing.

Do you have any favorite artists that depict the female figure? Or just some images you snagged? I feel like if I knew where your breasts swing, I could make an informed opinion. Cuz I don't wanna say, "Draw realistic breasts" if you don't LIKE the realistic sag of breasts.

Well, I definitely can say I don't prefer realistic breasts, but I'm still fuzzy on what artist influenced my direction. Don't take my word for stuff I mention, such as Saboten. I'm pretty sure my list of influences can be pretty inconsistent to what I'm trying to achieve.

Actually, in terms of what "I" enjoy, I do like "fairly" elastic breasts, though it's either cuz I wasn't bold with my drawings or it's genuinely difficult to work with. I'm also the kind of guy who goes for big breasts (kind of a given from my last statement).

Re: LustFire Artworks (2/11/14)

I gotcha. Your breast shapes are a lot like sabotens when I look at some images you've made prior. I guess the only reason I brought it up is due to how they changed in their roundness from your previous pics to a more circular shape. I don't want to come out and ignorantly claim you should draw pics in a way you don't like them, so I wanted to learn what you liked. I will say though, since I have to give some criticism, that the way you drew breasts before (such as in this pic and this pic) was quite more appealing, if only due to the fact that they look more bouncy.

But since these pics all seem to be for a particular client, I can understand the change as they desire tweaks here and there to your design.

I'm sure you'll see similarities no matter who my client is. I haven't posted a lot of personal stuff, but most of the time it's because I haven't allowed myself the time for the CGing. That's why I'm thinking of uploading more messy stuff now.

As for this one.. shoot me if you know where I got this from. Aside from that, I can't believe they relocated the soldier to the fortress for the 3DS version. I mean come on.. what can you NOT do to get some desperate attention?

Re: LustFire Artworks

I have to say first that these are some of the best western Ero works that I've seen. Especially on a site like this.
I'm nowhere near being able to commission something right now but I am working on the world-building for a CYOA I plan to write eventually. Right now I''m looking around for images to help as a visual aid. Whatever your policy is on letting people use images in such things I'll follow.

Anyway I want to post my ideas for my main characters as some are hard to find illustrations for. If I can use them in my eventual thread that would be great but i also just want to see illustrations of the fetishes they cover because they are so rare. On top of this some of these character are rare enough that people would stand out for being one of the only people that illustrate them.

So I have 6 party characters planned, and if possible I'd like to see consensual scenes between them.

The first is a tentacle girl inspired by the matriarchs in Serifyn's CYOA Tentacle Lair Escape who can transform between that and a normal human. In human form she would be more like Reily from Pandra by Erect Sawaru. The matriarch form is more lacking in illustration but really both are.

The second is basically Nico Robin from one piece but using all of her perverted potential. She can grow copies of her body parts anywhere in her sight, so she could grow tongues inside a vagina, grow pussies or futanari dicks for everyone in a room at any time. Iv'e only seen one illustrator who seems to fully understand her powers potential and thats the doujin author Chinbotsu or Rebis.

The others are:
A druid woman who uses a tentacle staff and has a slime familiar.
A futanari succubus without testicles who doesn't look overly imposing or evil.
A samurai girl with a perverted ghost boyfriend who likes to possess her clothes like in "[May-Be Soft] Henshin!!! ~Pants ni Natte Kunkun Peropero~"
A dragongirl who can switch back and forth between human, dragon and some dragon features.

Re: LustFire Artworks

I usually try not to give critiques unless it's asked for, but I also had a funny experience with another artist with that. I used to hang out on this livestream of a pretty popular artist, drew the cutest little monster/animal girls. One day she said she finally looked up references because she was having trouble with a pose, and she noticed that the way she drew elbows was way too pointy (Among other things).

She improved after that and she was pretty happy about it. A lot of people probably noticed the elbows, but people either didn't point it out because they didn't want to upset her, or they thought it was her style. Well it was not apparently, and because nobody pointed it out to her, she'd been drawing all that time in a way she didn't prefer (And she didn't even know better at the time).

So I think assuming an artist is intentionally doing something a certain way can be as bad as assuming it's unintentional. Well assuming anything is usually bad :p

When it comes to pricing, as mentioned it's mostly in what you're willing to sell it for and what people are willing to pay as mentioned. There's really no consistent ruling depending on the quality of your work. I've seen amazing artists doing like 10-20$ commissions and objectively terrible or less experienced artists trying to sell stuff for 40-60$. There are also people who sell at "professional" rates which is usually hundreds of dollars per painting.

In short: If people will buy it, it's worth that much. I think a good "starting" price is around 30-40$ for a completed color CG, see if people will commission you at those rates. If not, lower them, if you have a lot of offers, raise them, pretty easy. Not like you have to lock in one set of prices forever, you can even change it after only a commission or two if it seems people are still interested. I think it's better to start out a bit low and raise prices over time rather than start high and have to lower them.

I also think you should just be posting your work up places and wait until people ask to commission you before you offer them, that's usually a good sign.

Re: LustFire Artworks

I'm open to any level of critique. Besides, there's only so much my brain can remember in the long run.

I drew several manga-like sketches, though some of them are pretty inconsistently drawn. I'm not much of a writer as I am an artist, so I wanted to see everyone's fill-in ideas for the text bubbles. I'll probably show my original texts a little later.

These 3 images are continuation of the fanart I just did.

This set's narrative is not supposed to be dark if you see how insensitive the front girl looks.. Ha.

Something is worth what the person buying it is willing to pay for it. That is all you need to know. If you set a price and feel that too many people are buying, you have every right to raise the price.

Re: LustFire Artworks

I set up a Tumblr Blog, since I'm getting pretty determined to improve and interact.

I stated this from the blog, but I'm going to try to post at least 3 images per week there. It might become a good habit, since I can post more complete works in this forum. Image below is something I'm working on atm.

Thx for the reminder. It will now be shown in my future posts.

Since Tumblr automatically resizes my images, I think I don't have to use this website's folder anymore.

Re: LustFire Artworks

Constructive criticism from a non-artist: There's a problem with her left thigh proportion and the knee seems like an afterthought compared to the quality of the rest of the piece (the other leg for instance, which was well done, but represented from an easier angle). Once the eye sees the mistake, it detracts from the overall image.

It's already been mentioned that boobs don't look like that, but you're consistent about them from picture to picture so that's fine I suppose. Appeals to the breast expansionists among us I would imagine.

Positives are the hair and splash effects, and I like the lighting effects. Again, non-artist speaking.

Thanks. I just got back to drawing after freezing myself for a couple months.

I really wanted to make an H-game myself, but I'm starting with a test game with azurezero, since I don't know how to handle game programs. The game is gonna feature a corrupt system, clothe damage independent to HP, and battle rape.

With the Battle Rape system I designed, enemies will have a chance at raping the heroine after all her clothes are gone. The CGs I will be drawing will have different facial expressions depending on the "Lust" level. The below images are variations of a test profile of the main character, which may or may not be in-game. The heroine design is heavily copied from the previous game I failed to deliver.
