Description:
Darkgate is an isometric 3D H-game about a scifi chick with guns shooting monsters, and definitely, definitely not getting raped by them.
It's more CRPG than shooter - you click to move around and attack enemies.
The latest version of the game has transitioned to a more traditional third-person-shooter-ish view and control scheme.
Progress through a non-linear alien facility (following linear objectives), finding supplies, pushing buttons and killing the ayyliums

When defeated, the player will continue from a checkpoint with status debuffs. These can stack up to make progression very difficult, if not impossible. So far, the flying enemy's debuff causes passive arousal build-up, and a stack of it is removed on each orgasm it causes. Not sure if other debuffs will function the same way.
High arousal levels slow you down and prevent dodging, with the final stage preventing you from attacking.

Includes H-content now - full clothing destruction, and three scenes for the flying enemy. There must be 3 of them present for the 2nd scene, and 6 for the 3rd - easier to get on harder difficulties as these have more enemies. Make sure to check "Enable adult content" in the options

Oh yeah, been following this dev on twitter for a good long while now. It looks super interesting and, uh, yeah, gross monsters. Perfect.
 
oh god the eggs are pulsating....which is oddly intriguing to see.
On a side note I like those map interfaces, pretty clean imo.
 
Same. Straightforward gameplay, nice 3D. Alien monsters. I'll keep an eye on this.
 
I really hope with some rescue missions or companions.

Don't suppose he's got a picv or something similar to see his preview without suffering twitter's log in wall?
 
Personally it doesn't interest me much but not for the general theme. Monster on female is really good but most 3D Hdevs can't pull it off in a satisfying way.

The monster designs are fine (aside from the tomato pulp skin texture at least) but the gameplay looks to lack. You don't seem to be able to fire while moving so that means for any close situation or vs fast enemies you're running backwards until an appropriate distance away to shoot a few bullets, rinse repeat. The animations also don't look great, even for simple stuff like running the character looks stiff. In H-scenes they look even stiffer, which is not a good look.

I also don't want to assume something I haven't seen yet, so I'll ask. Does anyone know if the H-scenes will be in-game or just lame duck GoR? In-game impregnation/breeding would be nice too.

There was a dev Q&A where they said there would be no game overs. Defeat leads to fainting and waking up at a savepoint... with several permenant sexual debuffs. At least one savepoint is in the middle of an enemy nest. It is apparently entirely possible to hit the point where escape essentially becomes impossible due to debuffs, leading to a soft gameover.

Honestly, they had me at the status effects. I'm always up for that shit.

Interesting concept but somehow a soft gameover feels worse.

Unless you're making a separate save file for it or something.

I mean so long as there's multiple save slots it's no issue, you just need to keep a pure save handy for when the fun save gets too bogged down.

late last year and has been releasing some info as well as a few tests (no H yet from what I can tell) to followers on the free plan. Will be much easier to follow for information without having to resort to the mess that is twitter.
 
Can you swap to the carbine or are you stuck with only the pistol at the moment?

I ran out of ammo pretty quickly for the pistol
 
This has potential to become an interesting game, shame it'll probably be 2025 by the time we get to properly enjoy it.

EDIT: I was wrong, they already ruined stoic looking character by giving her shitty anime schoolgirl moans.

I love the framework and concept of this game. But the first level is horrid and miserable and there's no porn in the demo anyways.

It is possible to get the carbine.

The developer already acknowledged that the demo layout of the map is hard to navigate since there's really no way of telling where you are and where the objectives are at. He only released an updated demo with the new control settings [ WASD compared to the more complex setup before. ] As of now, the focus seems to be more on gameplay stability than content.
