Bell thinks on this for a moment, before reaching over and taking the evoker and holster out of the case. "Alright, I'll do it, this group needs a woman's touch anyway." She says with a smile, spinning the evoker by the trigger guard. "So what now? Some sort of super-secret initiation, where you swear me to secrecy, or what?" She asks sardonically, some of her previous enthusiasm returning.

Koike shrugged. "Well, there is one secret we could let you in on. You'd find out about it soon enough anyway."

That said, he got up, and walked over to the dial on the far wall, and spun it in what appeared to be a pattern...

Several panels opened in the walls. Most of them revealed storage areas, loaded with weapons and related supplies. The two next to the table revealed the observation computer.

Bell's eyes roam over the collection of weapons, surprised at the amount. "How in the gods' names did you get this many weapons here past the military screening?" She asks incredulously just as her eyes move onto the observation computer.

There are several video feeds on the screen, and Bell doesn't think much of it, thinking it just in the patients' wing, until she sees the pool table from the rec room. She stands and goes over to the machine, flicking through feeds until she finds the clutter of her own room among them. "I should have thought as much, you all have been watching me, haven't you?" She asks darkly, directing the question at them all, but staring right at Jack the entire time.

Koike walked over, and type in a command, pulling up the recording from two nights ago. "Only this one night."

Bell would likely recognize the recording. It might relieve her that the video cut out, and not show anything, while she changed.

"Your activity during the Dark Hour when we arrived was unusual enough that our orders required that we put you under observation. ...I apologize, but the potential is rare enough among humans that we are required to watch anyone that may have it," Koike commented, extremely apologetically. He obviously didn't like that part of the matter, but it could be seen that he understood the reasons for it.

Jack returned her dark gaze with an apologetic one of his own. "One of the few things I dislike about our job, the spying. I can assure you though, that video has NOT been edited from the original viewing content. Only one here who could even pull it off with the available tools here would be me anyway, and I wouldn't any way. What your seeing from the recording is everything we saw. But to echo Koike, yes, your activity during the dark hour is the first indication we have had that anyone on your planet has the ability, and our standing orders are to investigate that. However, the creature attacking us last night was definitely an ugly surprise for all of us." There is a grimace and he adds, "fuck, I think the goddamn shoulder STILL isn't in right."

He then adds, "as for how we got the weapons in here.... well, remember I told you I can do a lot of things with very little? Suffice it to say they had me with them, anything is possible."

Bell's shoulders tense as she watches the recording, but Koike and Jack's explanations seem to be enough for her, as she calms herself and lets the matter drop. She looks around the table and says calmly, "Alright, well I for one need to go get ready for the day, I pretty much just threw something on and came up here. Was there anything else I need to know?"

"Ok, well I'm going to go take a long shower, if you remember anything else, I'll be down for breakfast after that." Bell says, almost flippantly, then leaves and heads down to her room.

Once there, she places a rather large picture in front of the area the camera angle was coming from, cranks two different songs at the same time, then goes and showers for nearly an hour.

Koike waited until the door had shut behind Bell before he spoke again, gesturing towards the roof access. "Jack, the next time you feel the need to do something like that, take it upstairs."

Jack nodded, wordlessly heading up the stairs to the roof. Still, from up there even one could hear the crunch of bone popping back in, followed by a, "motherfucker, that was loud even this far up here. What the hell are these floors made of, tissue paper?"

Koike didn't react to Jack outburst, mostly due to the fact that the meeting room was sound-proofed. He did, however, close the panels once again, before heading into the office.

Bell finally finishes her shower once the water starts feeling cold, stepping out and dressing quickly. She chooses a simple sleeveless top, light purple with a wavy blue design on it, and a matching pair of rather short shorts. Digging around in the mess that is her room, she finds a laquered box about three feet long and a foot wide. She picks it up and takes it with her, wandering the facility in search of Jack.

She would find him in the dining area, just now finishing a sandwich. How he had gotten off the roof without going past Koike again was a mystery, but knowing Jack he had probably fashioned climbing materials from the roof itself and rappeled down the side of the building. He was, for the moment, seemingly unaware she was behind him.

"Hey there, Big Guy." Bell says as she sits down beside him with a smile, setting the box down on the table. "You busy?"

Jack looks up and smiles some. "Not at all, what's up?"

"Well, I'm thinking of getting some sparring practice in today, you up for it? I figure if I'm going to be there I'd rather not be a liability, you know? And frankly, you can teach me a crapload more than what I could teach you." She says in a hurry, spilling it all out like she had to force herself to say it.

Jack looks at her for a long moment, then sighs. "Alright, something is bothering you, what is it?"

Bell looks at him hopelessly. "That obvious huh? Its just... Its a lot to take in all at once, you know? These shadow demons, how they attack people during an hour of the night that doesn't technically exist. A piece of my personality that I shoot out of my skull with a gun." She says with an involuntary shudder before continuing, the words pouring out faster and faster.

"And then I wake up this morning, and get this all explained to me. On top of all that, I find out about this whole thing with the two SECs, and how you all aren't here for what you said, and you've all been spying on me, and, and..." She starts hyperventilating, and it takes her a moment to calm down again enough to speak once more. "It sounds like something out of a horror vid, but... Its all true." She finishes, looking at him helplessly.

Jack nods at her, a flash of SOMETHING on his face, almost resembling understanding there for a few moments. "I know. I'm sorry for the deception, and I'll admit, in your position I'd be pissed as hell too. Though keep one thing in mind. Koike, Gil and I would NOT have observed you like that had you not shown activity during the dark hour. And I personally would have ripped them in half had those videos not cut out to give you privacy at the appropriate moments."

There is a pause as he adds, "As for the Evokers... Well, I don't LIKE using them myself, hence why I used the swords last night. But I do understand there will be times I simply have no choice. So last night I used it."

There is a moment, and it almost seems to feel like he wants to say more, but in the end he doesn't, an unreadable mask on his face once more.

Bell scoots her chair closer to him, hugging him around the waist and resting her head against his side. "I know all that." She says quietly. There's a pause, like she's choosing her next words carefully. "I think... I think what scares me the most is, there's a part of me that knows those monsters so well, knows their weakest places and how to hurt them, that it's almost like it was one itself. What... What does that make me?" She asks fearfully, burying her face in his side and sobbing gently.
