apparently she is an ugly but decent singing contestant on the latest incarnation of jump through this hoop for a record label. at first glance she is becoming famous because she managed to get on tv without looking like a barby doll.

But seriously, because an ugly chick can sing, it's like people just didn't know ugly people can do shit before. It's like people are just realizing that ugly people exist and can do things well. I believe that humans are inherently stupid, very stupid. It seems to me that this is the same social degradation that allows Gay Pride Day and Black Pride Day, but screams racism and social oppression when you ask them why that is ok but on the same token we can't have a White Pride Day or a Strait Pride Day...

It's not that it's social oppression, dude, it's that white and straight pride day are every day; in other words, people who are different don't want to have to hide being different for the sake of the majority to feel safe and comfortable, when the majority get that sense of security pretty much all the time at the expense of different folks. At least, I know that's the basis behind gay pride -- I can't speak for anyone else.

I can't argue that that is the reason behind gay pride day, it's a good reason too. But that's not what we are arguing about.

What we are arguing about is people who are to stupid to understand what racism or social oppression really is. I've been to other countries, I've meet some VERY racist people in the world. The people in America don't understand how good they have it. Yet the bray and moan like bitches in heat about how bad racism is and how oppressed they feel.

Try saying that someone ruined your day by being racist to you because they looked at you funny, or rolled up their windows when they drove by you to one of the women who escaped Africa after they watched their sisters and mother get rapped to death by people of the same ethnic race as them, but think they are less then human because they are from a different tribe then them. (Talking about Samalia)

And 'Nappy' means curly hair, it is NOT a racist remark for black people, stupid white people >.< (All my black friends were like, "It is?! Where have we been the past 100 years not to know that?")(Talking about firing .... oh I forget his name, for calling some women 'Nappy headed hoes.' it was fine he called them hoes, but god forbid he says they have curly hair!!)

This is also true, the more you stand apart, and say, "We are not part of your group." The more you alienate your self.

I understand that many social and race groups have been oppressed in the past, and some are still being oppressed in certain places in the world (and America). The KKK still exists in the south, there is no doubt of that.

But the more these groups seek to alienate themselves, the more that they are 'them' instead of 'us'. So you will never get equality or acceptance until you can accept that we are all one people.

Differences are what make us unique, not what set us apart from one and another. I can't believe how many people in this world cannot understand this simple concept...
