Re: In today's news...

Felt it here in NY (not the city). I was confused as shit when the house started to shake. Some government buildings even evacuated for a bit.

Re: In today's news...

I felt like an idiot with no survival skills. The whole time, my mind was going. "Hey, I've never felt an earthquake before. I don't think this is what one would feel like. ... I'll just sit here."

Honest to god, my first thought is "Who the fuck is shaking the house?" ..SO retarded.

Also yeah, I think she was drunk, she threw a beer bottle

It scared the shit out of me, I originally thought someone bombed our building or ran into it. The office I was in today as our Richmond office, wich was like 50 miles I think I read.

I live on the East Coast for a reason...

Re: In today's news...

I felt the earthquake earlier today, excuse me for the bad pun, but I wasn't shaken in the least. By that I mean I wasn't worried at all.

Wait, people all the way in Toronto felt the quake? I'm sorry, but I didn't really feel anything.
I honestly don't see how people in Toronto felt it.
It really didn't feel strong enough to make it out there.
Then again, despite getting an 'A' in GEOL 101, I didn't pay much attention.
Might have something to do with the composition of the Earth between Virginia and Toronto.

I... wat? This bitch had to be drunk or something

EDIT: This did make it to the news, btw
Drunken white trash at its best.
And, fuck, I really don't see any reason for her to go that apeshit.
McDonalds chicken nuggets aren't that great.
You want chicken in the morning? Go to KFC, or Wendy's even. Hell, if it's not Sunday, try Chick Fil A.

You want chicken in the morning?.
Go and kill your own, and cook it over a fire made of the corpses of your enemies.

Best way to have chicken, highly recommended.

Oh hell yeah. I have a whole stack of my enemies' corpses all dried up and ready for when the next chicken is dumb enough to come my way.

I didn't feel anything either. When I went to get my hair done, that's what everyone was talking about. The girls there all had cool stories, and I was just like "Oh my gosh it didn't earthquake where I live!" Normally earthquakes scare me, but since it was so small, I felt like I missed out on the fun. :(

I guess the next big story is Hurricane Irene. As if the US didn't have enough problems...

If any of you guys live on the East Coast, or if you have friends and family...

Best of luck.

Re: In today's news...

Everything I see indicates it'll be safely off the coast. We'll get a bit of wind and rain, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Re: In today's news...

Every other article I see is completely different.

-Is gonna be in for some trouble!
-Irene's already moved down to a category 1 by now.
-We're looking at local and statewide record amounts of rain and wind!
-It's probably moved more eastward, off the coast, and wouldn't hit til sunday.
-Come saturday? Ya'll motha fuckas gon' get got!

Re: In today's news...

As if Apple products and customers needed any more bad press about questionable sexuality, Tim Cook is now the CEO.

Oh yeah, Steve Jobs resigned, if you hadn't heard.

I had to wikipedia him; I'd never heard of him before yesterday. Apparently he's been temp CEO whenever Jobs was out on medical leave.

He also happens to be gay, which the media is making a HUGE fuss over.

They are? They shouldn't... sexual orientation hasn't got anything to do with how one can run a company.

Re: In today's news...

Yeah, but if the CEO is gay, that means the whole company is gay.

Right? Right? No, of course not. But people are twats.

Re: In today's news...

Security guard does practiced muay thai, demonstrates on local thug, thug thinks he won. This is why one reason why I don't get into dumb street fights where the other guy wants to prove something, despite the confidence I have in myself. Even if you win, you won't win.

Let me clarify: I live in south florida. We were worried about it Monday, but we're good now.

It looks like Georgia might get some trouble, the further north you go the more likely it gets. New York's closing a bunch of stuff in preparation.
