Re: In today's news...

So, yeah, about dat Sony.

Unless you send them a letter in the mail - snail mail, mind you, if I'm inferring correctly - saying you're opting out of this specific part, the new ToS for PSN states that any U.S. customer must forfeit their right to file class-action lawsuits against Sony.

So, basically, if they fuck up, and don't do shit about it, you're shit outta luck, 'cause I guarantee that ANY letter you send via mail is gonna be 'lost' or 'never received'.

Oh Sony, you so crazy.

Seriously, why does Sony like taking one step forward, but then 1-500 steps back?

For some reason, that guy reminded me of you Toxic. :p

Laid back, sweet, self deprecating, submissive, bemused and bemusing, willing to post something like that in public.

It made it funnier thinking of it that way..

Re: In today's news...

the main problem is, if i want to support animal rights, i'd support a group that kills less animals. Actualy, i'd support a group that kills just as many animals but doesn't lie about it and support terrorists.

Re: In today's news...

PETA said:
The nonprofit organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) whose controversial campaigns draw criticism from women’s rights groups, said it hopes to publicize veganism through a mix of pornography and graphic footage of animal suffering.
I can see it now...

I'm with you on this Nunu. I've never had anything good to say about PETA mostly because of their downright immoral methods of promoting animal rights. Stealing someone's corpse to try and convince their son to close down a pig farm was the big story that made me really rally against those bastards.

That said, I frankly don't see how showing porn is promoting veganism. How does seeing a naked woman finger banging her asshole promote eating a salad without bacon bits? I don't understand the line of thinking... but then again I've never understood these psychotic assholes to begin with.

Re: In today's news...

Basically, guy owns a pig farm, his mother dies, PETA steals her corpse and holds it, saying they won't return it unless the guy closes his farm. Can't remember what happened at the end of that... but the fact that they'd steal a corpse...

Wow...wow...

I'd like to see someone do the same to them and see how they respond. Isn't that technically ILLEGAL? That is pretty much blackmailing.

It's illegal on multiple levels, and just plain wrong on multiple levels. They don't give a fuck about what's right.

PETA literally only cares about "animal rights" it doesn't give a shit about people. Thats why they also financialy support people who fire bomb animal testing institutes without a second thought. Then there is all the lieing they do about everything, i remember at school some PETA pamflits about the treatment of Chicken raised for KFC. It claimed that the chicken were killed by having their beaks removed and letting them starve to death, which is clearly not ecenomical and there fore no where near the truth.

the irony is that of all the animals PETA takes in, it ends up euthanising about 2/3 of them.

They lay members of PETA are in all likely hood good people, they just haven't thought about who they are supporting and just what those people are doing.
