In today's news...

Re: In today's news...

And some more news. Swiss banks. Nothing really happened, but an interesting read anyway. Also some other older articles on swiss banking.

The more things change, the more they stay the same... Only now the poor are far away and the rich have much easier time avoiding the unsightly rabble.

Re: In today's news...

Someone was nice enough to compile images on the Boston Bombing suspects and the rest of the situation

In short: Conspiracy proven to exist(No real message regarding how much of it is a conspiracy, but there is some at least). Warning. the following image collection contains images of graphic gore and injuries

It's a bit blunt, but there are simply too many inconsistencies to take the official story seriously anymore.
(Note that while it does mention some fake injuries, it does not say all injuries are fake. It's quite clear some real bombs went off, and there are most likely real injuries.)

Re: In today's news...

In case you were wondering: The House passed CISPA, but the Senate did not so it's not going to be a law. However, rumor has it that it will be moved through as a number of smaller bills, in pieces. I have no idea how true that is.

Re: In today's news...

Questionable news time

Someone found a 28th April "LA got nuked, support the victims" facebook page

The result?

Good news: It's not necessarily the government planting nukes. They're apparently trying to prevent it. Or at least it seems the military is.

Edit: link removed due to possible virus

Edit edit: Link returned because news. Click at your own risk. I'm running a scan right now and so far it seems nothing is on there. It seems noscript+addblock blocks the objects which are dangerous, but I'm not sure yet.

Edit edit edit: Scan shows nothing

And to add some more news, here's a pdf

A US military plan to detain, intern, and resettle a large amount of people. Including 'rehabilitation'

The document is over 300 pages, some critical points are listed below:

-Under "Support to Civil Support Operations" , it clearly states that this document pertains to "domestic emergencies".

-Under "Identification" 7-16: "Individual identification photographs are taken of all prisoners. The prisoner's last name, first name, and middle initial are placed on the first line of a name board, and the prisoner's SOCIAL SECURITY number is placed on the second line"

- Under "Agencies Concerned With Internment and Resettlement Operations" , Agencies specifically listed with the roundup are DOD, the DHS, FEMA and the UN.

-On Page 56, under "Psychological Operations Officer" PSYOP team goals include:

"identifying malcontents, trained agitators and political leaders within the facility who may try To Organize Resistance."

The above is just a few pages of the entire document. We, The Undersigned, encourage all Americans to read the ENTIRE document.

Main roles of PSYOP team (Psychological operations officer)
(Employees in the camps who serve to keep the detainees under control)

- Identifies malcontents, trained agitators, and political leaders within the facility who may try to organize resistance or create disturbances.

- Develops and executes indoctrination programs to reduce or remove antagonistic attitudes.

- Identifies political activists.

- Provides loudspeaker support (such as administrative announcements and facility instructions when necessary).

- Helps the military police commander control detainee and DC populations during emergencies.

- Plans and executes a PSYOP program that produces an understanding and appreciation of U.S. policies and actions.

Source of the pdf is apparently Wikileaks, 2010. So a bit old news.
And fuck it, I'm probably drunk by now anyway

Re: In today's news...

Hope I'm not spamming with all of these posts, but here you go, more news

The German government has been storing about half of its gold supply with the US FED, apparently in the NYC FED vaults. Germany decided to bring home all its gold, but the FED has said that isn’t possible to do, and it would need until 2020 to be able to accomplish the transfer.

The German government then asked to visit the FED vaults to inventory the gold and determine its actual existence, but the FED refused to permit Germany to examine its own gold. The reasons given were “security” and “no room for visitors”. And nothing else.

There are many claims that the gold that is being stored on behalf of many nations, doesn’t actually exist.

If it is true the FED has no gold, that will essentially mean the entire US economy, and the economy of everyone that has their gold stored with them, will collapse. They fucked up badly.

Obama Approves Raising Permissible Levels of Nuclear Radiation in Drinking Water.

In soil, the PAGs allow long-term public exposure to radiation in amounts as high as 2,000 millirems. This would, in effect, increase a longstanding 1 in 10,000 person cancer rate to a rate of 1 in 23 persons exposed over a 30-year period;

In water, the PAGs punt on an exact new standard and EPA “continues to seek input on this.” But the thrust of the PAGs is to give on-site authorities much greater “flexibility” in setting aside established limits; and
Resolves an internal fight inside EPA between nuclear versus public health specialists in favor of the former.

Re: In today's news...

On last week's news: Spain has beat a new record.

Spain has hit the massive number of 6,000,000 unemployed. GODDAMMIT

why-god-why1.jpg

Too dramatic, but couldn't find anything more suitable.

Re: In today's news...

Uh..Remember that gold?
Turns out nobody actually knows the real value of gold, since banks did a LIBOR thing on the gold prices as well. And on pretty much everything else being traded.

Re: In today's news...

So, basically, all of those morons who've been investing in gold and silver because of some assbackwards idea that it's value is safe are wrong?

Wow, colour me shocked. A metal that has a long history of being associated as valuable because it looks pretty and is somewhat rare may not have the value you think it does.

*shakes head* dumbasses.

Re: In today's news...

The same happens with diamonds. People have said that it's extremely valuable and scarce and decided to make it expensive. But guess what, there's a whole freakin' star made out of diamond. ALL OF IT. It's been nicknamed Lucy and it's a dead dwarf star located 50 lightyears away in the Centaurus constellation. If that thing was closer to us, like the moon; diamonds would be worthless, because there would be too many.
My point is that valuable things are not as valuable as people think, but just because it's shiny we say it's precious.

Re: In today's news...

Diamonds are also one of the, if not the hardest materials on Earth. Pretty useful that.

Re: In today's news...

also diamonds are useful hence diamond tipped drills. gold would be useful for wiring if it were as common as copper too.

Re: In today's news...

The Cayman Islands and other tax evasion hotspots under British rule are going to hand financial data over to the EU. So, you know, better grab your money and run.

Re: In today's news...

3 pieces of news

Amusing

...Yeah, that's some guy keeping hundreds of jugs filled with urine.
I don't think anyone knows why.

----
Saddening

Baby taken away from parents for 'child protection' because they didn't trust the doctor and got a perfectly legal second opinion.
In short:
Baby taken to the hospital as the parents are concerned
Hospital decided to just give the kid antibiotics, and refuses to say why
Parents take baby away, because the baby has a heart issue that is incompatible with antibiotics
Second opinion hospital doctors say the kid should have never been given antibiotics in the first place
First hospital calls the cops and tells them the parents are about to kill a baby
Police drives up to the family's place the next day, forces their way in after beating the dad to the ground, and take the baby

And good news

Hungary catches Monsanto contaminating the local crops, and takes action, banning the company and burning the contaminated crops.

Edit: I have also heard from one of my sources that the USA will attempt to declare martial law within a year. How accurate this source is is still unknown, but I figured I'd mention it
Edit edit: And late June there will very likely be another big event

Re: In today's news...

With that politicol news site... I'm not sure I'd trust a site that only uses references to other articles on the same site.

"It's okay, you can trust me... I said so right here and here as well."

Also I'm not sure i'd trust them to be without bias given an anti-corporation website is writing an article about how corporations are bad.

I've went through a few more articles and its basically just all anti-corporation propaganda, who's only sources are either itself (27/31) other anti-corporation propaganda (4/31). Not saying that corporations don't need to be taken down a peg, but these places aren't the best place to get the whole story.

Re: In today's news...

Feel bad for the cops in the baby story. They're going to be shown in a bad light, but really they were under the impression that they were going in to save a baby's life.

Real fucko's here is the hospital. That doctor, should be hanged.

From what I've read on there, they *usually* have other sources, but they don't seem to link them. And sadly most mainstream media don't really care that much, since it's just Hungary and there's more people interested in watching more news on Boston and things actually near them.
I do agree that they seem to be lacking in sources, and may appear(Or be) less reputable than some other news sites.

Also, British elections, results coming in live:

Re: In today's news...

Double post. We've had SOPA, we've had ACTA, and now, meet TAFTA

And related

Asked whether an armed revolution might soon be necessary to protect liberties, 29 percent said yes.

In the revolutionary war(US vs British monarchy) only 3% of colonists fought. Or around that.

Edit for some good news:
