Nillien quietly pads by, but her foot bangs against a rock as she glances at the camp, and all of the creatures there turn toward her at once. None of them move as they see the cloaked priestess trying to sneak by their camp.

Nillien freezes before closing her eyes and moving the energy she had draw out into her right hand causing it to have an almost visible spiritual aura. Holding the hand out towards them, she opens her eyes and starts slowly edging deeper into the mine, trying to keep her eyes on them while not tripping. Not recognizing the creatures and presuming them to be another monstrosity from this town, she presumes they can't speak her language and so doesn't try to speak to them.

As she backs away from the gathered beings, holding her energy before her, the goat headed humanoid comes forward, and says; "Easy priestess, we are no threat to thee."

You can... What are you? I've not seen your kind before. While you may feel different than the demons, That might just be because you're a different type. Nillien says, not lowering her hand, although she does stop backing away.

"We are warriors of the Fey, come to cleanse these lands of the demons that have invaded and corrupted them. Who are you?" The goat-headed one replies.

Nillien of the desert people. Also, I'm currently broke and have no real skills, so I'm here to make ends meet. I would think that a group as large as yours would go straight for the town and not deal with the mine. She replies.

"There is a mighty demon in these mines, a Lord, and we aim to slay it. We had a knight with us, but he went out hunting and has not returned, so here we wait for him. Alone, we would be no match for such a creature." The gruff replies.

Guh... A demon lord...? I thought all the strong things are deep in the town. Nillien asks, confused and worried by this new turn of events.

"Indeed, but somehow one of the lords got down into these tunnels. We believe that there may be a way into the town through them, from which the demon came."

Well, good luck with that, I guess? I'm not much of a warrior myself. I just channel my spirit energy to defend myself. Nillien replies, making a mental note to run away if she feels a massive demonic spirit in the mines.

"Thank you, priestess. I would advise you not to go down that way though;" the gruff says, indicating the tunnel she had been about to go down. "There are spiders."

Ah, thank you as well then. Nillien replies before heading towards another passageway, either one connected to this chamber or, if there are no other ones, back pedaling a bit to the last intersection she went through and taking a different direction. As she does so, she will slowly let the spirit fire gathered in her hand seep back to her core.

Nillien heads down a different passage, and the Fey only shrug and return to what they were doing. She a little ways down, she begins to here a strange howling coming from further down the tunnel.

Nillien once more freezes in place before slamming her eyes completely shut. Letting her spiritual senses poke about, she tries to get a feel of any nearby spiritual energies. As she does this, a light layer of her spiritual energy pours from her core to circulate through her body and her legs tense up. She doesn't know if this thing is the demon lord, but if it is, she plan's on running.

Nilliens energy distributes throughout her body, giving her strength and warmth, and her attempt to detect anything in the area is made easier. She feels a small group, perhaps 2 or 3, of demons coming up the tunnel toward her. They aren't particularly dangerous, at least not that she can feel.

Letting the fact that the demons didn't seem very strong calm her for a moment, she makes sure to tune the portion of energy circulating through her body so that she won't have to keep her focus on it during the fight. Afterward, she takes a small flame from the spiritual fire within her and focuses it into one finger. With that, she projects the small flame down the tunnel at one of the demons the type is.

Damage: 5 + 3 = 8 damage.

The small bolt of fire rushes down the hall and runs into a massive spider. Its long, black, hairy legs catches flame briefly, and the demon lets out a shriek of pain and alarm. It and its two companions rush toward her, and Nillien suddenly finds herself being rushed by the spider-demons, which are only ten feet away before she can react.

Gah! She exclaims before sloughing off a slightly larger portion of her energies. Gathering them into her right hand, she thrusts her hand out letting the energies burst out in a wave which rolls towards the spiders.

(Forgot lucky last time.)

To-hit: 20 + 44 + 3 = 67 vs 20 = hit.
Damage: 6 = 6 x 3 = 18 + 3 = 21 damage.

Nilliens wave of holy fire scorches the three demons, but not even the one she'd already hit fell from the flames. One of the creatures jumps to the ceiling, and points its backside toward her.

To-hit: 13 + 20 = 33 vs 28 = hit.
Grapple: 11 + 6 + 3 = 20 vs 40 = failure.

Nillien suddenly finds herself stuck to the floor, unable to move, as the strands of webbing bind her to the mines floor. The other two creatures advance menacingly, fangs dripping with poison.

Bad, bad, bad, bad! Nillien mentally murmurs before gathering a good sized flame of her spiritual core and pushing it out through her pores in all directions. It might not be enough to stop the creatures, but it would hopefully destroy the webbing.
