Elea feels her muscles strengthen as her spiritual power flows through her. The demons walk down the street, staying about the same distance, thirty feet, from her.

Taking another deep breath to steady her arms, Elea takes aim for the head of the closer demon. If she could kill one quickly, the other would be easier to dispatch.

Stealth: Success.

Damage: 5 + 15 = 20 x2 = 40 damage

Eleas arrow catches the first of the demons through one ear, the arrow going through the monsters skull and coming out the other side. It collapses, dead. Its fellow crouches, alert, and tries to spot her.

Stealth vs Perception: Elea wins.

But is seemingly unable to spot her.

'Yes!' Elea couldn't help but feel a little proud of herself for felling the demon with a single shot. She may have experience in battle, but she was still fairly young by elf standards. Without hesitating, she knocked another arrow into her bow and aimed for the head of the second creature, letting it fly almost immediately.

Her second bolt flies through the air, hitting the creature in the eye as it searches for her. It too falls dead.

"I can't wait to see the look on Garik's face when I tell him about this!" Elea says happily, thinking of one of the woodmen who had helped to train her. He had always insisted on pin-point accuracy with the bow, and never accepted anything less. He would truly have been impressed to see these kills. Along with the feeling of elation from her skilled shots, Elea also felt her muscles relax as she lost her concentration on the spiritual energy she had transferred into them.

With a smile, Elea saunters over to the demon corpses, not bothering to hide right now, and looks around for her arrows. If they were still good, she could reuse them, and if not, she could bring the demon-blood laden weapons back as evidence of her kills. As she picked the arrows up, she looked over the bodies, wanting to get a closer look at these other-worldly invaders.

After inspecting the demons, Elea decided that it might be a good idea to check out the house they had exited. Were they going door to door looking for humans to kill? Or was it something else?

Her arrows both seemed to be broken, so she took the bloody top halves of the arrows from the demons skulls. The demons were both completely naked, but their skin seemed to change color to match the surroundings, making her wonder if she might be able to sell it to an alchemist, or give it to one of her peoples sages to analyze.

Elea stared at the strange color-shifting skin, thinking that she may have gotten lucky in spotting them when she did. Something like this would be of definite interest to the elven scholars, so the ranger set to the grisly work of removing a long strip of skin from the forearm of one of the demons, shoving it into a pouch on her belt. After wiping the blood from her hands and blade, she walked back over to the house the creatures had exit from.

The skin comes off of the dead creature easily enough, and without getting too much blood on her. She leaves their corpses when she finishes, and stepping silently into the building they had left, she finds that it is a housing complex of some sorts, the different rooms having numbers and names on them. There are four doors on this floor, one of them labeled "S" instead of a number, along with a flight of stairs going up to her left. The building is completely silent.

Stepping lightly through building, Elea peeks into each room, though doesn't leave the hallway. She doubted she would find much of interest, but she still felt the need to investigate the demons' presence.

Looking into the first room, Elea spots the mutilated corpse of a human, probably male, though she can't tell since most of his flesh seems to have been eaten. She doubts that the demons from outside did this, since they had no blood on them. The second door opens to reveal a woman collapsed face up close to the entrance, still breathing, but with her belly and breasts bloated and her crotch covered in a white sticky substance. The third door reveals a room devoid of life. And the final room, the one marked with an "S," is locked.

The abused woman made Elea's face twist in disgust, but she rushed to her side when she noticed her still breathing. Kneeling down and reaching for the woman's hand, she asked softly, "Can you hear me? Are you okay?" Elea had heard rumors of the demons' lustfulness, but was unprepared for this. She looked over the woman, unsure if there was any way to help her

The woman sighs softly, and opens her eyes, and then suddenly cries out in pain, staring in horror at her belly. It seems that she is about to give birth.

Elea jumps at the woman's sudden scream, backing away for a second before leaning back in towards her. "Damn," the elf says, realizing the situation. She grabs the woman's shoulders and holds her from the side, looking down at the woman's belly. 'Whatever is in there wants to come out.'

"Okay, just calm down and breathe," Elea says, her face held close to the woman's. The ranger had seen animals give birth, but never humans, and had no idea what she could do for the woman, besides staying with her. "You'll be alright, I promise."

Elea holds the woman down, but it seems much easier than she'd heard people say it was. After the initial scream, the woman was silent besides whimpering, and she quickly started forcing her child out. What is born, however, is an affront to the nature and meaning of the word. From the poor womans womb, a small black skinned creature is born, its claws and teeth already showing visibly. It begins to crawl away, crying quietly every few seconds. It is, quite possibly, the most horrifying thing Elea has ever seen, and the woman passes out beneath her.

Her shock at the abomination crawling around causes Elea to let the unconscious woman slide out of her grip. The thump causes the ranger to jump again, but she doesn't even look down at the woman, eyes transfixed on the squirming monstrosity she had given birth too. Rising to her feet slowly, Elea draws her blade, intent on keeping the world as free of demons as she possibly could. Slowly, cautiously, but purposefully, Elea steps over to the foul spawn, and raises her blade for a strike to finish the creature, before it has a chance to spread it's evil any farther.

The creature is too young and weak to escape her, and Eleas blade plunges into it with ease, ending its vile existence before it could spread its corruption.

Once the gruesome creature lies unmoving at her feet, Elea brings a hand up to her mouth, afraid she might gag. She manages to hold it in though, and quickly turns back to the woman. Kneeling at the woman's side once again, Elea lightly shakes her shoulder, and calls softly. "Hey, wake up. You need to get out of here." Although the woman may be Badarian, Elea doesn't feel anyone deserves to remain in this demon infested town.

It takes a while, but eventually the woman stirs, her eyes opening to reveal that they glow a menacing red. She whimpers something Elea is unable to understand, and starts to slowly raise her hand toward the elf, reaching for her.

A look of concern crosses Elea's face upon seeing the woman's eyes, and she backs away slightly. 'Have the demons done something to her as well, as they did the bear?' she asks herself. Remembering the beasts' aggression, Elea stands up and takes a step back, though when she notices the woman reaching out for her, a flash of pity causes her to stop. She reaches out to grab the woman's hand, to help her stand. "Come on, you need to leave this place."
