Luna merely strips off her boots and equipment, and the Fey knight stays completely armor clad as they settle in. The Fey takes the corner farthest from the door, and Luna happily lies next to her, having done so before. She pulls the blanket up, snuggling up comfortably with her friend as though nothing were amiss.

With Luna next to her and settled in Iris just looks at her for a moment, giving her a look she hadn't ever gotten before, one rather sad looking. Silently, she wraps her arms around the girl as she pulls up to her, holding her tighter then she usually would. " Goodnight." She softly whispers before closing her eyes. It seemed that Iris had become somewhat more clingy now. It was almost as if the girl was afraid of even letting go of the girl, afraid she'd lose her if she did.

The night passes uneventfully, Iris and Luna sleeping through the night in relative comfort, despite the less than perfect conditions. They awaken as the dawns light pours in from the cracks around the door.

(And so the line of undisturbed sleep continues unabated. The dice must love sleeping people.)

As expected Iris awakened that morning, her eyes opening to see light pouring in through the cracks. Instead of getting up, she shut her eyes and continued to hold onto her friend. ' Just five more minutes... ' she thought to herself. It seemed that she wanted to enjoy this moment of peace for a little while longer before venturing back out into the town.

Luna happily stays cuddled up with Iris, willing to rest a while longer in comfort before going back into the already decidedly dangerous town to face demons and who knows what else. The Fey woman, however, rises quickly, stretching the kinks out of her muscles from sleeping all night in her armor. She waits for Iris and Luna before continuing on, however.

After a few minutes pass spent laying in comfort, Iris decides that she can't delay getting up any longer. Taking her arms off of Luna, she sits up and lets a yawn out; " Morning girls..." Iris says softly to her companions. Rubbing her eyes as she stood up from the bed Iris proceeded to walk over to her neat pile of equipment, and slowly began to put it all on. As she did so her stomach made a sound, indicating that she was hungry. " I wonder if this house has anything to eat..." She says to herself as she equipped herself.

The knight shakes her head, and says; "I doubt there is anything edible left. These people were poor, and what little they could afford likely did not keep well. If we want food, we'll have to either look for the homes of the rich, or consume some of your own supplies."

She pauses, thinking for a moment, before continuing; "I must admit, I am confused by the way your society works, and the idea of riches. Another human tried to explain it to me once, but I still did not understand why you would accept such a way of life while others of your kind lived in such stagnant decadence." She said, and Luna looked at her like she was from some other planet once she'd finished asking her odd question.

" I suppose we will have to scavenge elsewhere then..." Iris mumbled as she finished placing her sword on her belt. She should of figured a poor place like this wouldn't have anything. As Iris finished up she stood there, hearing the woman express her confusion of rich and poor. Hearing the fey, Iris looked to her, giving her a similar look to the woman Luna gave her. " I could try and explain it if you wish, although it's not simple." Iris stated. Before the woman gave her an answer to her offer, Iris said something else, rather quickly. " Hey, do you have a name I can call you by? " she asked.

"I would like that, mortal. We Fey have no names, and the only name I have ever been called by humans I would rather not repeat. I have had very little contact with your race."

She looked as the fey in thought, what would be a fitting name for her? "Hmm... Would you like the name Emerald? " Iris asked. She thought it was a fitting name, seeing that the woman had green hair and all.

The woman smiles in a friendly manner, and replies; "That will do nicely."

Iris smiled back and said; " Alright then, Emerald it is. " Iris wondered if this fey was going to turn out to be a good friend. Perhaps she'd end up sticking around once the portal closed and Luna and herself could go back to traveling. She seemed strong and intelligent, the girl was sure she'd make a nice companion. " Well, we best get going. Let us be off." Giving a glance to Luna then Emerald she exited to the room, positive the two would follower her.

Heading outside into the early morning light, Iris finds the streets around her empty. Luna and the newly named Emerald follow behind her. The one thing Iris does take not of is the way in which the shanty town is quickly falling apart. None of the buildings are in good condition, and there are noticeable signs of a struggle from days or weeks ago on the dirt paths running through the houses.

" Soon enough this town will be nothing but a bunch of collapsed ruins..." Iris said to herself, a hint of sadness in her voice. So many destroyed homes, a entire community gone. What was even more depressing then that was the fact that so many of said people must of been killed or captured by these demon's and likely very few had escaped. Iris suddenly turned to Luna, almost as if she had twirled; " Luna, do you have any idea where we should start?"; she looked to Emerald, " What about you Emerald? Any idea's? " Iris was considering herself the leader of this group, likely because she was leading the way, but was still very eager for suggestion's on where to go and where to search for food.

Luna shrugs in response, and says; "Your guess is as good as mine. If what Emerald said is true, we'd probably be best getting to the main roads, and maybe finding a tavern or something to scavenge for something to eat. If we keep moving, we're bound to find something eventually."

Emerald nods to what Luna suggests, and says; "I had just arrived here last night, and have no knowledge of human towns. Perhaps if we proceed deeper in we might find a place with food that is still edible."

" You're probably right, the deeper we go the more likely we are to find something. " Iris stated. She knew the two were right and that they should search in the deeper part of the town, however she was a bit hesitate to do so. More then likely, there were even dangerous things in the deeper depths of town. Then again, did she really have to worry? If she ran into something she couldn't defeat she could just summon Matthias. " Let's get going then." Iris said. With that, she turned and began to lead the group into the deeper parts of town.

Luna nods, and she and Emerald follow along behind Iris, all three remaining alert.

Perception: Success.

Suddenly, Iris spots movement up ahead, as though someone or something were disappearing around a corner. She had no idea what it was, other than the fact that it was very vaguely man-shaped and seemed to have a green tinge to it.

Iris draws her sword from it's sheath out as silently as possible. Something told her that whatever was behind the corner was trouble, maybe it was the green skin. The girl gave a glance back to Luna and Emerald, her eyes asking what they should do. She was tempted to do a sneak attack, however she wasn't entirely sure that was a good idea.

She was ready to attack, but wanted to see what the other two thought.

Luna moves past Iris, having spotted the strange green thing as well, and motions for her to hold. Luna silently creeps toward where the strange thing had disappeared to, her hand on the knife at her belt. She pauses at the edge of the alley the strange something had entered, risking a quick glance around to see what it was.

She pauses for a moment, before suddenly being yanked around the corner. the last glimpse Iris has of her friend before she disappears is a look of confusion and a bunch of green tentacles wrapping around her.

She was about to yank the girl back behind her, however before she could do so it was too late. Upon seeing Luna grabbed and taken away Iris sputters something out; " N-no, L-Luna! " With her sword ready Iris starts to run, moving around the corner in an attempt to find and save her friend, driven by an overwhelming feeling of panic.
