Each passing demon sends a wave of tension through Elea's body, the elf worried that they might somehow find the women in the house. A sigh of a relief escapes her lips as the latest group of demons eventually wanders off, leaving the street clear once again. Glancing over at the catwoman, Elea silently wonders just how long the woman will "nap". With a sigh she turns to look back out the window, now staring intently at the skeleton left behind by the demonic hound the pair had killed earlier. 'Is there anything of value on that skeleton that the trader may want?' she wondered, curiosity gaining ground in her mind.

When Sable suddenly jumped up, Elea herself responded in kind. "What..." she began, only to be cut off by the catwoman's plea for privacy. As the woman slowly limps further into the building, Elea notices her enlarged belly. 'How could I not have seen that earlier?' she thinks. She stands quickly, and begins to step forward, eager to help the woman when she remembers Sable's request. Deciding that she would honor the woman's desire to remain alone, Elea sits back down, a hand reaching to the dog to scratch it behind it's ears as she watches the woman wander off into the rear of the house.

After a few minutes, sitting in silence and waiting to hear from Sable, Elea finally stands up and heads towards the door. Motioning with her hand for the dog to follow, she slowly opens the door and heads out. Once outside, she turns to the dog, points to it, then the ground in front of the door and says "Sit... Stay... Guard..." while hoping that at some point it had been trained to follow such commands. Carefully making her way over to the skeleton of the dog she had killed earlier, Elea searches it, hoping to find something the trader might find worthwhile.

Elea:
The dog huffs appreciably at Eleas scratching of its ears, the beast having been surprisingly and thankfully quiet since they'd gotten into the house. When Elea takes it outside and tells it to stand guard, it gives a quiet "whuff" and sits down in front of the door.

Upon examining the skeleton of the demonic hound, Elea spots its fangs, which look almost exactly like some that she had seen in the merchants coat. They looked like she could pull them from the creatures skull with a little work.

Sable:
Settling down in a small bedroom upstairs, Sable prepares as best she can for the pain of birth and then waits on the rooms lone small bed. Her birth comes quickly, though after the initial sharp pain she only feels a vague discomfort as something slowly slips down her passageway and out of her. She feels another sharp pain in her belly as the first reaches halfway - another one of the things slipping past her cervix. The first of her "children" plops out of her and onto the blanket covering the bed, a strange leafy thing which immediately pulls itself away from her using a small pair of tentacles. The second follows before she can move to do anything, a minute there are a dozen of the small plantlike creatures pulling themselves away and off of the bed, and her belly is flat once more. Feeling the last of the creatures pull itself out of her, Sable can move freely again, though she is a little woozy.

The creatures are all about the size of chicken eggs, round, and made of some leafy plantlike substance. They have two short tentacles, about three inches long, which they use to pull themselves along.

Working quickly, Elea grabs the skull and begins tugging on the fangs, working them back and forth in the socket until they give way. Every so often, she glances around the street, back at the dog, then up towards the house. Even though Elea had chosen to honor Sable's request for privacy, she still felt worried about what she knew was happening to her, thinking back on the human woman that had opened the elf's eyes to the demons' sinister plans. 'Will she turn on me, like that first woman had?'

Sable groaned sickly, closing her eyes and taking a few sharp breaths before she forced herself out of bed, straining her muscles if she needed to, and pouncing after the small egg-like leafy things.

Without any hesitation, she snatched up as many as she could, each one she grabbed, she scooped up and held cradled into her body between her breasts, hoping she could snatch all of them before they got away.

"What ARE you things..." she found herself whispering aloud, trying to carry them around a bit and idly poking at the little things she was cradling and holding close. Her natural feline curiousity and affinity for plants getting the best of her as she seemed to want to take the lot of them along with her, quietly trying to sneak back down and re-collect her things while holding her litter.

Elea:
After a while, the first tooth is loose enough for Elea to wrench it out of the demons skull. The other of the two large fangs quickly follows suit, and just as she smiles in triumph she spots movement out of the corner of her eye. Turning, she spots a massive creature rounding the corner a few streets down and immediately wheeling toward her, staring straight at her. It starts moving toward her, its eyes never leaving where she stands next to the fallen demon.

The beast is massive, easily twelve feet or taller by the elfs estimation, and its lean muscle is covered by thick leathery armor. It has the head like nothing she'd ever seen, its neck hunching forward and its massive head topped by a single long, point horn pointed forward and to the right, the broken stub of another jutting out of the left side of its head. It has a head like a predator, with eyes pointed forward without losing periphery vision and a long snout with pointed teeth hanging from its upper jaw. Its long arms swing as it walks, and end in hands that look like one could easily wrap around the ranger and crush the life out of her, the long thick fingers ending in inch long talons. Its legs seem too short, though they're as thick as tree trunks and end in feet that look almost like an extra pair of hands, the creatures long toes moving dexterously.

Sable:
The creatures are easy enough to capture and hold, though they try frantically to escape from between the cat girls breasts. She manages to get all of them before any can escape the room, and all of the little creatures waves their tentacles, which seem to have a small suckerlike piece, wildly in an attempt to get away from her.

Giggling ever so softly as she toyed with the plantlike creatures she had, she rushed back to her gear and searched wildly to see if she had any spare empty bottles or other containers she could seal without cutting off the air on top. She'd gently settle her little creatures inside one (assuming she had such a container that would hold them), and give the side a playful kiss while sealing the bottle, quietly noting to herself she had to give them a bit of dirt to grow in later.

Her little group of plants birthed and contained, she wiped herself clean of any remaining mess with a towel, and re-dressed in her clothes and armor, loving that the armor felt loose again around her belly. Her mind coming back to focus on her two companions, the dog and the elf, deciding it would be best to approach quietly and tell them what happened.

(Actions (if possible), Bottle Plants (without airtight lid), Dress, return to room from earlier to look for her companions.)

Elea spins to take in the threat that appears down the street, and lets out a gasp at what she sees. The huge demon was larger than anything she had ever seen, and it was coming for her. In her mind, Elea knew she must fight, but it took all she could to keep her knees from giving out from under her as she stared at the giant monstrosity. Reaching behind her, she grabs for her bow and brings it around, but the sound of the giant's footsteps keeps her from thinking to grab an arrow. Shutting her eyes, she wills herself to ignore the sound, ignore her fear, and focus on the fight. As she does though, she gets the idea that stopping the sound was just what she needs right now. Or at least stopping the source of the sound.

Staring down the street, Elea concentrates on the giant monster's feet. As she does so, she imagines chains of light snaking up out of the ground and wrapping around them. "Stop," she says calmly, staring down the street at the advancing monster.

Sable:
It took three bottles to store all of the little creatures comfortably, and they all wiggled their little tentacles wildly as she bottled the little plant creatures. One of them even escaped momentarily before she could nab him and bottle him with a trio of his siblings.

Putting them away and redressing, Sable looks around but is unable to find her companions in the room they'd been staying in. Until she hears the bark of her dog outside, that is.

Elea:
Binding Check: 14 + 40 + 16 = 70 vs 12 + 80 + 10 = 102 == Enemy wins.

Elea binding wraps around the demons legs, holding it in place. That is, until it takes a step forward, snapping the binding and taking another thunderous step toward her, causing her to widen her eyes in fear. The cat-girls dog barked once, sharply, and came into the street to stand next to the ranger, its hackles raised as it growled angrily. The demon was slow, at least, only moving twenty of the seventy feet between them before Elea was able to pull herself together.

When the huge demon steps out of her spiritual bindings, Elea too takes a step, though backwards. The thing's pure physical power is staggering, and the ranger is at a loss as to how she can stand against it. As she stares at it, pulling an arrow from her quiver and nocking it, she thinks back to her time training in the elven forests.

'The trick to fighting a stronger foe is to use his weaknesses against him' she reminisces. Having been trained to fight against the Badarian military, this phrase was drilled into Elea's mind early on. When an enemy force is large, they are also slow, and that is a weakness that can be exploited. Hit and run tactics, striking fast and fading before the neemy can organize a counterattack, could wither a threat down to more manageable levels.

With her training in mind and a plan already forming, Elea calms herself, shaking away the fear this demon had instilled in her.Taking careful aim, she lets the arrow loose, reaching back for another arrow before the first had reached it's target. While she has the chance, she has to make her shots count. Aiming for the creatures eyes might be a hard shot to make, but a direct hit could seriously improve the elf's odds.

Sable's ears perked up when she heard her dog barking and instantly knew something had to be up. The elf wouldn't be stupid enough to play around with the dog this close to danger, and her dog seemed too well trained to be barking at nothing.

Sable rushed towards the front of the building silently, keeping ducked back in the shadows of the building so she could look outside for her dog and the elf, eyes briskly searching the area, her gun at the ready as she tried to keep hidden from whatever dangers would be out there.

(Yeah, it's a thug. He's slow and easier to hit than his base stats would suggest though, or else he would have run up and strangled you already.)

Elea:
To-hit: 17 + 42 = 59 vs 30 = hit.
Damage: 6 + 15 - 4 = 17 damage.

The creature doesn't react visibly as Eleas arrow thuds into its shoulder, it simply keeps walking toward, its every step shaking the ground under its weight. By the time she is ready to fire again, it's only 30 feet away.

Sable:
Sable spots the elf woman and her dog standing in the middle of the street, near one of the demon skeletons. The woman was firing her bow at something, and Sable spotted the same creature Elea had seen as soon as she looked down the street. She could hear and feel its footsteps as well, even through the walls of the house.

(Well it is slow, but after looking in the rules not as slow as I'd hoped since it will still catch Elea if she tries to run away. Unless what I have planned works...)

Calmly taking note of the ground the creature is covering, Elea realizes she only has time for one more shot before she needs to move. Once again aiming for the demon's eye, she lets loose another arrow before preparing herself to run. She bends over slightly while giving the dog a pat on the side, and says, "Go, hide." She hopes the dog will understand she means for it to head back to the building Sable was in, and not to attack, as she knows it will not stand a chance against such a huge monster.

"beautiful." Sable whispered sarcastically, her gun ready, she aimed out towards the creature's neck. She knew she wasn't a good enough shot with her weapon to do anything fancy like strike its eyes, but with the size of the creature, even if her shot went slightly awry, she knew it would strike it in the head or torso at least.

She was quietly happier and happier that she took one of her master's guns along on this trip... though slowly beginning to worry about how much ammo she'd brought along.

Eleas second arrow catches on the demons snout, and even from this far she can hear the growl that emanates from it at the arrow sticking out of it. The dog ignores Eleas command, staying next to the elvish ranger as the demon advances.

To-hit: 7 + 20 + 3 = 30 vs 30 = hit.
Damage: 3 + 18 - 4 = 17 damage.

Sables shots strikes the demon in the throat, hitting the beast just after Eleas arrow. As she readjusts her aim from the rifles recoil, she realizes that the demon is nearly on top of the elf woman and her dog, standing only ten feet away from them.

(Total damage = 47.)

After seeing the arrow strike the demon, Elea turns to run, knowing full well that the creature has the upper hand in a straight fight. The crack of Sable's gun, however, causes her to cringe, crouch, and turn around. 'What in the...' she thinks to herself, experiencing a gun blast nearby for the first time. At the sight of the catwoman holding the smoking weapon at the door of the building, she immediately yells to her, "Stay back!" At the same time she turns back to the demon, jumping and waving her hands in the air, screaming, "Here! Here! Follow me!" just before turning and bolting for the alleyway which she had met Sable in.

With the small gap between the buildings in her view, Elea runs as hard as she can, not worrying about attacking the creature. As the thumping foot steps come closer and closer, the ranger pours every ounce of strength into her legs, desperate to make it to her destination. Just as she can feel the hot breath of the demon behind her, Elea dives forward into the alleyway, rolling to a stop between the buildings before spinning back to face the monster. The alleyway, while not tiny, is small enough to give the demon trouble in reaching her, and should slow it down enough for her to get away and continue to pelt it with arrows.

"Stay back? And miss the fun?" Sable chirred out softly, judging her distance to the monstrosity and taking to a quick run. Instead of meeting up with the elf, she coaxed her dog to speed along, and turned down the opposite direction of her newest companion, trying to duck into a second alleyway, hoping to split the beast's attentions between the two women, confident that by splitting up it would give at least one of them shots at the creature's back.

(Avoid the creature, move down towards the alley from before, then split up so we have the creature between us.)
Edit: (And shoot it again, of course. No more focus on where she hits it, just trying to take it down now the hard way.)

The demon seems injured now, but it continues to follow Elea mindlessly, trailing her down the alley and raising a single massive fist. Though it moves much slower than she, its legs are much longer, and the creature drops the distance between them to only five feet.

Sables round strikes it, but it doesn't take her bait, instead following the elf woman down the alley. She is afforded a good shot at its back, however. Her dog barks at the demon, trying to get its attention, but to no avail.

(The ogre is between you and the alley. Conveniently there is another alley nearby just like it, so you get to go down that one. Sable's going to have to content herself with a side street. And no stealth bonus, ogres are very perceptive.)

(Rats, sounds like the demon didn't have a problem getting into the alley. Ingenious plan fail)

"Damnit," Elea mutters as the demon continues to approach her, even in the narrow confines of the alleyway, seemingly unaffected. Tossing her bow over her shoulder, the ranger backs away from the monster while drawing her sword. It wouldn't do much to the beast, but a sharp edge between it and her was better than nothing. With her blade held out, Elea backs further into the alley, preparing herself for the inevitable strike of the giant.

(Fight defensively, sacrifice 30 points to-hit for 60 points of dodge [if I can use that much?])

"Why won't you just go down already?" Sable muttered angrily, raising a hand in preparation for a spell, but the only skill she could think of was far too dangerous to cast with her new ally so near the beast.

Sable bit her lip softly and took aim with another round of her rifle, "Run faster Elf! Unless you want that beastly thing grabbing you!" She called after Elea before sending another ball of hot iron hurtling into the beast's exposed back, knowing it couldn't defend itself from her assault while its attention was on the elf.

Elea takes a cautious swipe, which just barely falls short of hitting the demon. Sables next shot misses, going between the beasts legs. It slams its fist toward Elea, trying to knock the ranger out in a single attack.

To-hit: 55 + 10 = 65 vs 36 + 60 = 96 == Miss.

Elea narrowly avoids the massive monsters strike, the sound of its fist smashing the stone of the street nearly deafening her.
