They're deciding to finish the game with only a few characters, then add them back in the game at the very end. I think that's what they said...

I don't think that's correct. I believe they've said they plan on doing two stages with Amy, Zeta, Rouge, and Tails then going back and adding them
So after the stage five update they should be updating Blaze and Cream

Its a great update. I love the galleries...especially the boss gallery.

It seems like the animations are getting longer. Don't get me wrong. In most cases, I love this. However, at some point I just want to move ahead and not sit through the same 45 second animation for the bajillionth time. I'd really love to have an option to break grapples. The window in which you get to break out as it is is ridiculously short and pretty much impossible unless you know you're about to get grabbed.

The boss fight was really nice. Sonic's grapples were awesome, and I like scissoring with the ghost lady. The birthing was not for me, though.

Incubus and succubus were excellent. Great animations and H-moves. The behemoths were okay but could have perhaps used a bit more detail in the character model. As everyone else has said, ghosts are a pain. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't run away vertically or it wasn't so hard to tell when you were on the same parallel as them. And there were SO MANY of those things.

Overall, I think this may be my favorite major update of all. Great work as always, Zeta and team!

You DID grab the hotfix and saves, right? They're one page back and fixed the unlocks not working deal.

It doesnt work for me either, I tried the 3 different save sets... And why does the "fix" exe contain the exact same timestamp?

Edit: my bad I didnt know you needed to start a new game to have it work ;P

that's strange... i copy-pasted the save files provided by previous posters, but opening up the gallery leads to stage 3 instead of the gallery itself

can't seem to find solutions using google and forum searches. do i need to do something special with the zip files? :confused:

Every goddamn scene is same for every character. -
Enemies are not that interesting as previous ones. -
Lots of bugs. For example (even with fix) sometimes game freezes completely right before scene starts. I checked it with four character(Zeta, Amy, Tails, Rouge).
Sometimes enemies stuck in invisible walls or something like that. First time I saw that in first level and second time it was in last level. -
Too many enemies. Those fucking ghosts are annoying as fuck and instead of enjoying the game I was raging like a 12yo kid. -
New gallery sucks balls in my opinion.
For each scene you have go back to the menu, click new game, do a few clicks and select gallery, then more clicks to select your character, AND EVEN MORE FUCKING CLICKS TO SELECT SCENE. For fucks sake!
Why would they even do "Gallery" and "Boss Gallery". What the hell?... Guys? Open my eyes, please. Is adult game supposed to be fucking hard and challenging?
Because I'm one hundred percent sure it should not.
I'm not actually saying that I can't beat the game. It's not easy, but you can play and finish it.
You can even hack it if you want.
Eh-h, whatever. I guess I'll just wait for the next update patiently and see if they improve something.
Seriously, I know that work is hard, but why would you release a new stage with same scenes for each character? The only one thing I like is Succubus/Incubus enemies. They are really fun.
They should've taken more to time to make a great new stage, to show something different, better than before.
No one is rushing them...
Edit. Probably I expect too much from a free project.

Gotta say, I do agree with the majority of the post above me, it's clear that the quality of the game itself is improving, vastly.
But the galleries are silly to navigate through, especially that boss one is just annoying as the amount of the same 2 enemies you face, it was fun for the first 3 minutes and then it just got so lengthy and boring I was tempted to quit it and just download the boss save.

In previous updates with new enemies quite often there would be 1-2 character-unique animations, was vastly dissapointed to find none of this standard variety except for the incubus/succubus transformations. BUT the animations were clearly of a higher quality and were longer (although as stated above, longer animations are actually a downside with no breakout, I got so sick of the ghost/nightmare animations after the first 2 minutes of play). If the new norm for the team is "less variety, prettier and longer" my personal vote would be against this.

Overall, I liked the amount of new content even if it was rather drawn-out and repetitive, and the quality has certainly gone up, but the character-specific variety has suffered tremendously, which I feel is one of the key hooks of the game. Overhyped certainly, but not a bad update in any sense.

Doing the same animation for each character cuts their work in half on the front being they only need to sprite the enemy once. And they've attempted to make up for this lack of variety with extended animations... unfortunately this leads to boring players after the second or third time they've seen it while trying to actually go through the gameplay.
While I hate the ghosts with a passion, they're obviously an answer to anyone who abuses the dash attack to get through stages (thankfully they're easily beaten by abusing the jump attack :confused: ).
The level looks quite nice, but unfortunately even on my 6-core the mansion slows down (christ they must've made a big code error), and the lightning ends up bugging my eyes.


IMHO it seems like most of the complaints people have about this update originate from the team trying to answer people's complaints (I'm not singling anyone out) at the game taking too long. So while I can't in good conscience admonish the team, I can say that they can and in fact have, done much better work.

On another note, can we get someone to update the first post with all the emerald locations? I can't see anyone sifting through 132 pages to find them.

If I am not mistaken, you need to hit the door in first stage, then tree and then... Hm-m, actually I have no idea how to trigger bonus level in third stage. I've been playing a few times and I got it randomly.

As for what you said before that this is the first stage where they didn't have one enemy that didn't have different animations for each character where the other ones had the tentacles, the horses, and the dolphins which each had their own thing. The incubus and succubus seemed like they should have had that but didn't because hey had the midnight bliss outfits wether they will add unique anmations for them or not I'm not sure but that along with the bugs and glitches can be fixed since this is the ALPHA version of 5.5 meaning they're going to fix it up later before working on the dinosaur stage. At least that's what previous experience has taught me to believe.

Probably easiest part in the game. Just make sure to do a double jump when "obstacles" are around rings.

"I have to be honest, after releasing the version, with or without bugs, I feel a lot more relieved now.
I'm going to make a little FAQ about things I've seen around:

1.- Lag Issue in the Mansion: I think I know why the lag happens, but is not something all the people notices, because it depends in the sistem config of the comp, also in laptops are a lot more noticeable, anyways seeing that one user pointed about the music, I've found that the mp3 size of the music played in the Mansion is very big, actually 15mb, when the game loads the stage, it loads all of it first in the memory, so while you play you dont notice any slowdown, but if the music ends and loops, the program have to load it again, and 15 mb can be a lot, I'm just doing a suposition, because I'm not sure about this, but anyways I'm going to reduce the file size of the music and see how it works to try to solve this issue.

2.- Cream and Blaze: As we said in other posts, for now we are only going to work with Zeta, Amy, Rouge and Tails to speed up the development of new levels, but instead remove Cream and Blaze, we decided to leave them with the missing animation advice. Why Blaze and Cream? easy, because Blaze needs a sprite update already, and Cream, because her body type makes the edition of the rapes more complex.

3.- Why theres no custom rapes this time like tentacles, horses, etc?: In this Stage, and to change the things a bit, we bet this time for more elaborated rapes and more quantity, I will explain myself, the duration are larger and much more fluid, with different poses in the same rape, we designed costumes and gender bend for the characters, we added new fetishes putting some emphasis in what people asked for, theres two bosses, with two rapes each one, not just one, and they are pretty complex, they arent simple loops, we added custom sfx for some of the enemies, so yeah, this time you don't have custom rapes for all, but hey, I think you got some GOOD ones, at least I love them myself, other thing is if they fit your tastes or not.

4.- For people who donate: If you want to be in the credits of the game, send me a PM with your mail and Name you want to appear on them, If you don't do this, I will take it as anonimous donation.

5.- Ghosts are anoying!: I'm sorry, but, they was made for that purpose, I have to recognice that this is a little vengeance for the 'game is too easy :cool: ' so, some nice ghosts to bother you, anyways I'm gonna be a good girl and give you some info about them, they act like the Mario Bros games, when they walk forward, they get invulnerable, when they walk backwards, they can be hitted, if you get lined up with a ghost, they will chase you, but if youre far from them, they will keep away, use this info at your convenience, also, they are vulnerable to air attacks, so, they aren't that hard.

6.- I will probably launch a 5.6 version with some bugs fixed and the MacOs version in some days.

7.- Pen and me are VERY tired, from the last release, I think it was in January, when we released the game with the bonus stage and stuff, instead of resting as we usually do, we continued working on Stage 4, so, we are a bit burned right now, but while we rest, other members will work on the next stage.

8.- I'm sorry for those that the game don't works properly for them, but sistem configs are infinite, and we can't solve aislated problems like 'my gamepad not works' or 'The game don't start I just see a black Screen', those are due incompatibilities and troubles in your sistem, so, I'm sorry, but we cannot do anything, it happens with proffesional games, so, with us have to happen a lot more.

Yeah, one of the joys of playing the game with different characters was to see different animations. The new ones are the same-y.

So far, kinda mixed feeling.

Nice new concept, that gender-bender play is definitely awesome.

4 stage is really laggy on weak PCs.

And it roast thoroughly any radeon video card. Tested on 3 different PCs with 7850, 6870, 7870. My 7870 MSI went up to 70 degrees, and for comparison - heavy synt test gave me 71. Is it Crysis 3 or something? Jeez. Dunno about asus production.

No variaty for chars. It felt kinda lazy, like if the animator tried very hard the first 2 scenes, and then he run out of steam.

A large number of cute pics when loading levels - completely useless for people with SSD drives. I can see these pictures only for half a second. It saddens me, these images must be in the gallery for happy fapping. Or just add a PUSH START button after level loading.
