I've been following this thread for almost a month now and I figured I would stop lurking and make a post. Admittedly, yes I did join today, but I've seem to have run into a wall and it bothers me.

So I download Fairy Fighter, but sadly I cannot play it on this PC. However across the hall my roomie has a PC that I use just to "play" this game. He has XP, I have Windows 7. With his PC I can just plug and play, with this I am using now (with 7), I've hit a wall.

I've used Applocale to play Monster Quest and had zero issue. But with FF it's just...bothersome. I try running as admin, I try running Applocale as admin then try running the game. I try compatibility mode, and admin and it all ends up the same way with the game appearing for a brief second before vanishing. I really don't want to use my roomie's PC anymore. He knows I use his PC, but not what for.

Any suggestions on what I can do without really altering much? I'm willing to go out on a limb and try anything, but I'm just curious.

Also, thread rocks. Keep it trucking.

You have to play the game in Japanese Locale other wise it'll just keep closing itself. Your buddy probably had it to Japanese already so you were able to play it there. I can play it fine on Win 7.

Alright. Give me a bit and I'll try your suggestion. I figured Applocale was made to sorta negate changing your localization.

Edit - Funny thing after checking his PC. His settings are all on default.

Edit 2 - Swapped to Japan locale, swapped the "EN" down at the bottom right to a "JP". Opened it up, same thing. Ran it as Admin, same thing. Ran it in compatibility mode, same thing. Ran it in compatibility mode, and as admin. Nothing.

Now what?

Try putting it in the base directory(C:\). I think I remember this game having trouble if it's in a massively lined subdirectory(C:\My Docs\Name\Porn\Hentai\...etc etc)

Update is out, not sure what exactly has been added/changed. Will wait to see if someone more enthusiastic types them up.

Tiki file is a little bigger.
Alakune file is a little bigger.


That's it. So let's assume that there's more kinky stuff between the two.

Edit -

Lots of good stuff. I don't want to spoil too much, but egging internal now has more detail. Alakune has a super ability. Her mini spiders can tagteam Tiki. She also has a webbing ability. One low arc, and one high arc. High arc forces Tiki to the ground and stuns her.

That's all I've seen. I want to leave a few surprises.

How long is your file name? The shorter the better I found, C:/FairyFighting will work more often then C:/File/AnotherFile/Yetanotherfile/FairyFighting. Worked for me, try having a short file name.

New in this update that i have found: Vaginal egging cut scene changes to show eggs stacking up in Tiki's womb, Has a Ariel Web grab which will slam Tiki down, & a SP move which will Web tiki in mid air while she gets her pussy licked you have to escape b4 the orgasm meter goes off otherwise enemy will gain HP and SP from the fluids of tiki's orgasm plus the escape meter will reset and you have to race against the orgasm meter again. No ending scene yet

I've never had to change my non-unicode, or use app locale to get fairy fighting running. Not quite sure why you do...

And I'd say shame on you for beat'in it at your room-mate's computer, but you've gotten away with it for a while it seems, so bravo.

God damn it! Not more with those spider-ling things; I hate it when there is a creature I would normally like that has something thrown into them that I hate, which just ruins it for me.

To be fair, he's got classes when I do not so the window of opportunity is quite large.

And just as an FYI to people reading through.

You do NOT need to be in Japanese Region or using Applocale to play Fairy Fighting.

The game plays fine without any assistance.

Correct. ALL fairy fighting needs is a short file directory.
