I do agree, tons of potential there, though.

Not necro-ing for no reason, the dev just made a post that seems to indicate (ran it through 3 translators to be sure) he intends to become active again, whatever that means.

Kinda sad when a dev has been away so long that you have to open a post with "this is not a necro", but if true, this is welcome news.

indeed and he updated the main gif with a new character.

I never understood this game. Where was the H content? Where is it now on the blog? I can't read Japanese, but most games are easier than this one :\

The h content in the demo of this and the first game was basically non-nude sprite sex. The download links seem to be dead on the blog, but if you got knocked down near humanoid enemies and certain others (I think, it's been a while) they would rape the MC. You could also knock down and rape humans if you got high enough evil / corruption (which was increased by being raped and decreased by saving humans.)

You can get raped while downed an enemy is in the mood (indicated by a heart icon) and as mentioned, if your corruption is high enough, you can actively rape downed enemies yourself.

The download links are dead, and the author himself in his post today mentioned re-upping them at some point.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the "most games are easier". Its a standard metroidvania and a relatively easy one at that. Most H platformers/explorers are more difficult in my opinion.

I was referring specifically to the H content. I didn't know if it was just that one type, or if there was other content that I was just having no luck finding. Knowing that the only H is the "enemy is down, take advantage" thing, I at least know I'm not missing something in the H department.

Well, there's also birthing, and some bosses have special rapes if you game over to them (its still sprite sex.. there are no CGs or anything like that if that's what you're wondering).

Either I did not notice that, or he hadn't changed it yet. Interesting either way.

Slightly off-topic, but I tried a replay of Nightmare Sphere 1 a while back and I still could not get the 4th ending (never did figure that out). Tried several different descriptions of how to trigger it, but no luck.

There's still the original Nightmare Sphere thread sitting around on the forums here iirc. That might be able to help you out if you can bear to sift through the information.

Yeah, I tried the method listed there, even dug up a more detailed one on pastebin, neither method seems to be accurate.

Nightmare Sphere 2 announced, will need a new thread soon :D . Seems to be saying NS0 got out of hand with too many features and such, he wants to keep things simpler this time. He also asked for people to be patient, so he probably doesn't have much done beyond what is shown.

EDIT: So NS0 is definitely cancelled, but he is working on a new game.

I wonder if he'll be changing up the way H-content works. NS was one of the precursors of the typical format, but the novelty of re-used animations doesn't do much for most people these days.

Personally, I hope he focuses on one character, but does unique animations for each enemy (think hounds of the blade). That would be amazing. I also hope he sells it for once, so he can make a bunch of money and feel better about his hobby than he has in the past. He deserves more success.

I think that's a good move on his part. Having a lot of feature is awesome but impractical for one person and it wasn't like the first one was lacking in gameplay either.. Maybe if he had a good size team working with him that it may be possible.

Also, if he were to go commercial with this, I'd definitely support him.
