"Alright, fair enough. As you might have guessed given where John found you, the Cabal's main focus is to find ways of controlling every single person with special abilities, normally referred to as abnormals, whenever they find one. From what we've been able to gather on them, their network originally started out as a group of survivors from Hitler's personal guard during World War Two. Hitler himself knew of abnormals, and even authorized his people to capture and experiment on them. The Cabal have continued this research, although we suspect they've gone relatively untouched by governments largely due to their deep pockets, and tendencies to stay in the shadows. Generally speaking, anyone who witnesses their actions is murdered to keep them quiet, although if you have any special traits, often time's they'll try to capture you. Sarah, you experienced first hand the things they will do in the pursuit of control. Our network is dedicated to preserving people like you, and we actually view them as people, not things to be controlled. My father started this network over a hundred years ago, and I will continue to run it the way he envisioned it until I'm dead. Needless to say, the Cabal has a rather high price on my head, but I'm not terribly worried about that. What I'm more worried about is what they'll do to people such as yourself, they don't care what they do to you, so long as they either control you, or ensure no one else does. What I'm proposing is simple. We'd like to be able to keep you off of their radar as much as possible, and the best way to do that would be for you to remain within our network. I won't ask anything else of you, your free to help out if you want, but I will not ask that of you. The choice must be yours."
