Considering that new content is still being added to CoC and TiTS regularly, its the best quality text based H-game i've played and I can play both on my iPad, I haven't found any reasons not to stop playing it.
And new characters of course. Katherine is my favorite now, although I do still like Urta and Kiha quite a bit.

Eh, CoC and TiTs are great in theory, but it seems like they can't add in a new character without making it a futa (which is a major turn-off for me. Some people find them sexy, I find them really f-ing creepy). I get that the more vocal donators want futa content, but the fact that 60-80% of the NPC's are futa's kinda limits the desirable content for people who don't have that particular kink. Great idea in theory, but Fenoxo and his team have pandered too much to a specific audience for it to actually be a great game, and their pandering is probably limiting the donations by people who don't care for futa content, creating a vicious cycle which ultimately hurts the game. Standard free game development flaw.
I still check out the game periodically, but it's becoming less and less often, as I get more and more disappointed each time.

Speaking as a writer... it's far, far easier to make a single sex scene (or even several variations on it) than it is to make just one character development story.
Game writing is harder, too. In a game like CoC, you have at least two different paths to write for (corrupt and non-corrupt), and that's assuming that there aren't any extra developments that a character should take into account and comment on. It really enhances immersion if people talk about the things you've done in the past, rather than just checking a corruption value and taking option A versus option B.
And don't even get me started on branching player choice. Eugh. Talk about a complexity nightmare.

Main issue has always been that if you have a character that you can approach with a "wanna fuck" and thus you have sex, is fine. But if 90% of your characters are just that then it gets boring rather quickly, this is also a problem in Fall of Eden where it's apparently impossible to have a conversation that isn't related to sex in some way, making it impossible to maintain some sense of normalcy.
CoC was initially interesting because there was this sense of struggle, your character goes to fight hordes of demons and can get corrupted themselves in the process, particularly when you're losing said fights. What now happens is your character is by default a complete degenerate open to sucking the cock of any stranger they meet without having an actual conversation first, and the sense of struggle is gone, your character and the world of CoC would be just fine if everything got corrupted, and I honestly struggled to tell the difference between the happenings in the so called "pure" town and the corrupted joke bazaar.

I see where you're coming from with this. I'd say over-all, the problem is basically a lack of discipline. The whole development process was rather random and unfocused. A lot of themes set up early on were either downplayed or simply forgotten about. It certainly could have turned out worse and I'd say it's still one of the better H-Games going.
But for my money, that feeling of having lost sight of stuff carried over into TiTs. I just can't get into TiTs, it may have much fancier coding behind the scenes but it feels a lot like it's lost track of what made CoC feel special in the first place and a lot of that is in the early dynamics of the game and how you get started. I think Fall of Eden (if I'm remembering the right one) made similar mistakes. Both of them jump straight in to the heavy porn, neither has that same feeling of beginning, of risk and danger and seductive possibilities that CoC starts with. The difference is the TiTS still feels interesting.
Sure, just about anything is basically a sexbot in a meatsack but there are some characters with actual character and interest - Kiro post-rescue and Lilana in particular.

I still play it from time to time, usually with some of the modifiers that make things easier though - I'm more interested in the story than the gameplay.

CoC has been version 0.9.4c for a long time if you haven't noticed. I downloaded it a couple months ago, and just now when I tried to dl it, it gives me the 0.9.4c (1) save. He hasn't updated it in a looooong time. I'm sure I saw he IS writing for it, but hasn't updated any little things or nething. I think he's pretty much done with CoC.
Edit: I just checked the date I dl'ed it, and it's been 6 months (2015/05/28), but I'm pretty sure it's been the same for longer.

Cheat albeit. Save the mods you want. Load when you get one you don't want. While it goes against the spirit of the game slightly. If you are aiming for a specific look. That's the way to go.

I ended up losing interest in CoC when I noticed my characters never even showed a little dislike at getting raped, hard to imagine my character being a pious priestess type whilst moaning like a whore.
Plus I'm not right into dick girls either.

Yeah, don't get the appeal of dickgirls, and every conversation you have with anybody always leading to sex is also a bit of a problem for me as well (but it's to be expected considering the world you are in), not to mention all the unnecessary reading involved also gets a bit annoying at times (quality vs quantity seems to be an issue in that case). And most of the transformations and fetishes ain't my style. But overall it's still fun even now considering how long its been out, still haven't even gone through all the endings yet.
