Sarah looked at the settings page as it loaded. She was quite shocked. Somehow, BDSM and Slavery had both been turned up above maximum, overshadowing most of the other results.

She also saw options which she could tell were probably usually hidden. Such as Allow Companions, which now seemed to be unchecked. Roughness had also been turned up as high as it could go.

And then the really big shock. Difficulty: Insane++

She wasn't even quite sure how this was possible, but another setting caught her attention. Current Level: Slavers City

"Um..."

She hadn't thought it could be very bad, but it seemed like she had been wrong. Especially frightening was the "disallow companions" option. Being enslaved had been bad, but she had been rescued fairly quickly. The settings seemed all but certain to make sure she was captured a second time, and not rescued. Bad.

She looked around frantically, unsure what to expect.

As Sarah looked around, the level seemed to start to load, the new level that is. But it stops halfway through, instead fading to black again. A pop-up appearing in front of her.

"Hello" It types out, instead of appearing instantly like normal game messages.

Sarah, already a little frightened by the sudden popup and then the horribly altered settings, jumps when the loading abruptly stops and the new message appears.

Hello?

"Oh good. You seem to be polite. Maybe." The message types itself before her, disappearing again.

"Do you know what your friend had to suffer through when you forced those settings on her? I do."

Sarah felt herself flush with rage, and also a little fear. Rage because she had come here yesterday just so that she would understand, and returned today partly so that nobody could claim that it didn't count if she didn't know just what she was getting into. Fear because someone obviously thought that wasn't enough.

But she didn't let herself rise to the taunt. Yelling wouldn't help, and it might hurt. It might hurt a lot.

"Who is this?"

"Who am I? If I told you, it'd ruin the surprise."

"Don't worry though. You're going to know exactly what happened to your friend Ashley. I would have shown you yesterday, but it took me too long to find the logs and decrypt them."

Sarah continued struggling with herself to keep from shouting, but her fear was growing. Ashely had been pretty shaken up when she'd exited, she understood. And somehow Sarah didn't believe for a second that she'd be getting a faithful retelling of Ashley's story. After all - she'd already had that, more or less.

"This... should be between me and her?"

She silently cursed herself for making that sound like a question, but there was no going back.

"Perhaps. But I've seen it anyways. I think your understand will only be better if you see exactly what happened, in every detail."

The world starts to fade in, in an odd way. It stops, condensing itself into a sort of viewing screen. Sarah can see Ashley as she wakes up in the dungeon, in her game. A recording.

Sarah doesn't respond as the image appears, though she is shocked at how real it looks. She shifts uncomfortably, remembering being tied up in a very similar way herself, but otherwise doesn't respond. She also resists the urge to close her eyes or look away from Ashley's mostly-naked body. Seeing the consequences of her actions towards the other girl... well, she couldn't seriously object to that, not if she was honestly sorry. It was just that it probably wouldn't end there, or her settings wouldn't have been altered.

Sarah watches as Ashley goes through the game, whoever it was doing this forcing her to watch every part. The slime, the rope demon, everything. Especially the part about her slavery.

When it finishes the pop up appears again. "Now do you truly understand what you put your friend through?"

Sarah watched the whole thing through without looking away. It wasn't good, but she realized that every bad thing done to Ashely had been done to her, save the rope demon, which had been the least of it. Still, Ashley had seemed to take it harder then Sarah had, and she found herself on the edge of tears near the end of the other girl's slavery, and cheering when she made a break for it. She only sighed when Ashley attacked the slavers, still naked and wearing a leash. That was just like her, very noble, and very stupid.

"Yes."

It still felt wrong. Seeing it happen to Ashley had been different from her own experiences, but if she was a little more sorry now then before, she didn't see what difference it would have on her future course of action. And it seemed unlikely whoever had done this would be satisfied.

"Really? Hmm, I can tell, you really do seem sorry. Don't you?"

The world starts to fade, back until Sarah sees herself in what looks like the back streets of a city, tightly packed around her.

"Regardless, now you need to live through her experience. Perhaps not the exact one...but you'll face the worst of what she had. You're now in the slavers City. A girl like you probably won't last long."

She felt the world come into being around her, and her heart rate went up.

"But... I already did that..."

She shifted uncomfortably on the spot, suddenly reminded that parts of Ashley's session - particularly the rope - had been arousing. The end certainly hadn't been, but she knew that she would still smell ever so faintly of sex, and that this was not an auspicious start to her stay in 'slavers city'.

Sarah looked around, not wanting to stay in back alleys long. As long as just being female wasn't enough to get her enslaved, the main streets would be safer then hidden alleys. She looked down at her clothing, hoping it wouldn't stand out in this strange city, and felt to see if she still had her axe and her little gem.

"Yes...but you didn't lose, did you?"

Sarah walks slowly out towards the main streets, as she approaches, she sees many sights, almost every female looks enslaved in someway, being carried or marched through the streets as an object. She doesn't have any hard proof, but she's fairly sure that walking about as a free women might not actually be allowed her.

Sarah had to admit that this was true, even if she didn't think that was a big deal. The slavers had raped Ashley when they re-caught her, but then the scenario had ended. Compared with everything else that had happened it had seemed a fairly small thing. Still, there was clearly no point in arguing.

As she had feared, it appeared that just being female here was enough to be enslaved. That did not bode well. Still, maybe that wasn't all bad. If all women were slaves, then they'd hardly be on the lookout for free women walking the streets. They'd just assume that her master had sent her out on an errand or something. Admittedly it didn't look like that happened very often, but surely it happened less often then free women walking about on the streets, if every woman was a slave.

With that in mind, she stepped out into the street and started walking. She kept her eyes down, and made sure to be exceptionally courteous in her manner, but also walked with a purpose, as if she knew where she was going and wasn't wasting any time getting there. Of course, she didn't know where she was going, but hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to find a gate out of the city. A guarded gate, probably, but she could deal with that problem when she got there. If she got there.

Sarah manages to make her way through the streets mostly unbothered. She does get a bit of looks from some people, but apparently her sense of purpose looked good enough that they didn't bother. After all, if a women looked so free, she must have a powerful master, right? If her would trust her in such a way.

She finds her way to the nearest gate, which looks heavily guarded, more to keep people in than out she notices. Nearby the nearest attraction is a slave market. She notices an odd fellow, who seems to be buying every slave that comes up, no matter the price.

Sarah hesitates for a moment in the street. The gate looks well guarded, and she isn't sure that she'll be able to bluff her way through it without some sort of proof that she has a reason. And if she's caught, it's only a short walk to the block.

Instead, she turns away, hoping to find a less throughly policed way out. She walks towards the slave markets, keeping her eyes out for any place that might have a back way out of the city, on the basis that a person acting strangely might be part of the 'plot' of the game, which must surely include at least some small chance of winning. Probably.

Sarah manages to find her way into the backstreets without a problem, she notices a nearby way to access the roofs, she thinks she might be safer up there.

Of course, she can hear nearby that almost all the new slaves have been bought, the man having bought all of them. She can hear a cart rattling up nearby, though she can't see the area anymore.

Struggling to maintain her composure, Sarah decides that the rooftops could indeed be the way to go. Chances of thieves and outlaws would increase, but considering that it would almost certainly be within the law to enslave her, that might not be a bad thing. There might even be some sort of underground movement to free slaves, though how that might work with the "allow companions" setting disabled was anybody's guess.
