The monster couldn't even begin to get out of the way of Evelen's shot, and the bullet slammed into its chest and exploded. It was so close that she worried that the gun might have been damaged, but she had surely done a lot of damage to the creature. It yelped and rolled away from her, writhing around in pain, and she put the gun in her uniform's belt and took out Celesta's sword, quickly running to it and trying to behead the thing in one blow. If she managed it, she would put the sword away and carry on with the gun in hand again, but for now she didn't want to waste ammo on an already crippled foe.

Easily Evelen slice the monster neck, as this was busy trying to stop the bleeding from his huge gun wound, in an instant the floor receive the huge blood stream as the monster head roll away of his mutilated torso. Once alone again, Evelen change her weapon once again and continue her path through the damaged corridor, there she found more broken statues and battle remains, until she get in front of a slighty opened door, before get inside she give a little peek with her gun ready to shoot if needed.

The dark room is illuminated by a huge dark purple crystal at a corner of the room, the noise of her weapon certainly has reached this place and even when she dont see any danger something could be waiting her or already had escaped from that place, Evelen then notice two passages at the sides of the room and a tail like snake covered in blood in middle of the room, this tail looks to dont have a torso so maybe the monster who was the owner should had fight what had caused all this mess.

The monster barely seemed to notice Evelen's approach as it desperately tried to stop the bleeding from the wound she had put in his chest, allowing her to walk up and slice his head off cleanly with Celesta's sword. The floor was covered in dark blood, and she spat in the growing pool as she put away the sword again and got out her gun, moving forward. There were more broken bits of statues and remains of battle up ahead, which was somewhat reassuring to the brunette; she thought she was following Teresa's footsteps, and there were no signs that the woman had lost just yet. At the end of the pathway was a slightly opened door, which she crept up to and peered in carefully. It was dark, illuminated only by the dim light of a dark purple crystal, but she could still see a tail laying in the middle of the room in a pool of blood. She didn't like this, not one bit. She knew that the noise of the gunshots had reached this place, so something could potentially be lying in wait for her, but she slowly entered the room anyway, gun held close to her and ready to fire if something jumped out at her.

Ready for any ambush or trap Evelen get inside the room, her eyes can see around pretty well thanks to the little glow of the crystal and at the instant notice a remain of a huge fight in this place, what has made all this certainly take the right door and looks to be a little wounded as a little of blood remain in the doorknob.

Evelen looked around carefully as she walked out into the room, her gun held close to her chest so nothing could grab it from her easily. The glow of the crystal allowed her to see pretty easily that there were no threats in the room. It was, however, the obvious sight of a tremendous, bloody battle, and it seemed that whoever or whatever had come out victorious had gone through the right path, judging by the amount of blood by the door. The brunette's heart quickened, and she began to panic a little as she thought that Teresa might be badly wounded. She quickly moved down the rightward path, hoping to find her family soon, before anything particularly bad happened.

As fast as she can, Evelen opened the door and run through the right path, her eyes werent able to get used to the light reduction, but this dont stop her to see a human body on the floor close what looks the tail remain of another snake creature. Slowly she get close and then she was able to notice than the human was a male soldier, he looks to be really wounded and a long blade wound remain at his back, he looks to be still breathing and his clothes are different from the capital or the ones than Evelen is wearing. Just then a sudden move call her attention and the tail wrap her legs making her fall, the tail monster increase the shape of his hole maybe trying to suck her legs.

Evelen opened the door quickly and rushed on through, finding the light very dim and almost nonexistent, but ultimately she came to something she could see properly. Her heart shot up into her throat as she saw what looked like a human body lying on the ground next to the remains of another snake creature. She crept towards the scene slowly, afraid of what she might find, though it seemed to be a male soldier, rather than Teresa. He was badly wounded, but he seemed to be breathing still, and he was wearing a uniform unlike both the ones she had seen in the capital, and the one she was wearing. Just how many factions were in the temple? The brunette started to worry that her picked-up uniform might get her into trouble.

Evelen was snapped out of her pondering by a sudden move, but before she could react a tail had wrapped around her legs. She let out a cry as she was pulled off her feet, hitting the ground hard when she fell. She quickly regained her wits, though, looking down to see a strange sort of tail monster. There seemed to be a mouth at the end of the tail, and it was opening wider in an attempt to swallow her, which quickly made her point the gun down at it. "Not today, bastard" she muttered, aiming as well as she could under the circumstance and pulling the trigger, hoping to shoot down its mouth and kill it in one blow.

Even when the creature was so close of her legs and with her low experience, the swordswoman manage to shoot at the creature who even when dont die from the impact, it make it release the young woman. Free Evelen manage to dodge the creature attempt to grapple her again and then after her kick dodge, she hit the creature again, this time stunning it the enough to give a quick shoot after the last one.

Evelen managed to shoot the tail creature just as she wanted to, causing it to release her, though it wasn't quite dead yet. She dodged its next attempt to grab her, kicking it in the head and then shooting it twice quick. It looked pretty beaten up, but still not dead, and she put her gun away and pulled out Celesta's sword, wanting to kill it with the unfamiliar weapon; she had very few bullets remaining, and she wanted to save some if at all possible.

Just when Evelen was taking her sister'sword, the strange creatore get recovered and jump to her, the young woman tried to hit it as she dodge it but this time both fighters dont touch the other. Evelen soon start to learn the creature moves and swing at the right time to hurt it, causing a wide wound on the creature left side, even when this looks to cause a lot of blood lost, it dont stop and get ready to jump again to only get another deep wound. The creature looks to be close to die and even then it is ready to try again.

The snake-tail creature leaped at Evelen just as she tried to draw Celesta's sword, and she only barely managed to dodge it, her own counterswipe hitting nothing but air. She was starting to learn this foe, though, and when it attacked her next she cut a wide wound into its side. It seemed to be losing a lot of blood now, and when it recovered to attack her again she managed to put another similar cut on it. It seemed nearly dead by now, so the brunette tried to swing the sword at it the next time it moved towards her, wanting to finish it off before it hurt her.

With weak moves the creature tried a last desesperated attempt to catch her, but it just was useless and with just a sudden slash Evelen end his live with a not so good cut. With the creature dead she is now alone with this possible soldier, he looks to be handsome with blonde short hair and a scar in his right cheek, he dont have any backpack or weapon, out of that all looks normal as he groan softly. The swordswoman still have a little of time to decide what to do with him before he fully awake.

Evelen good rolls in her shoots had give her a +1 on her shoots and each shoot have a +3 to be a critical hit, however a critical miss could break her weapon

The tail creature was severely weakened now, and even without a particularly skilled stroke Evelen was able to finish it off. She then took a moment to look over the male soldier. He was blonde and quite handsome, and the brunette wondered if he could be an ally for her, though it wasn't very likely. She decided to try and shake him awake, ready to kill him with her sister's sword if he turned out hostile. She didn't really have any way of healing him, though, which might turn out to be a problem, and she didn't know how good the EGG would claim she was at first aid.

At his weak state the man take his time to awake, but with the time his yellow eyes start to look evewywhere, until they get focused on the strange young woman and her sword.

Uhm... Hi!? The guy said still confused by his actual situation Who are you? continued after a little groan as he try to reach his back wound. Evelen can see than at his actual state, he dont looks to try to even think to attack her.

Evelen watched the young man carefully as he awoke, looking into his nice yellow eyes. "A fellow-traveler" she said quietly, sheathing Celesta's sword when it seemed like he was too injured to really fight her. "I'm not good with first aid, but I can try to help you. Who are you, and why are you here?" she offered and asked, wondering if he could be a decent ally if she patched him up a little. She was suspicious, due to the uniform, but maybe she could use him for help on the way to finding her family and then discard him afterwards.

Evelen notice the youngman make maybe a little sigh of relief, as he see her take away her sword. Karn Bladebourne. Im glad to find someone with their mind intact in this place. Said the possible soldier as he try to shake her hand, but stop by the intense pain at his back.

I suppose than im here for the same thing as you, after all a countless numbers of souls had tried to take the treasure of this temple to save their people. The soldier start to undo his uniform to uncover his atletic chest and damaged back. Some bandages will be enough, maybe we could find my backpack where i have some healing herbs.

"Karn, huh? Nice to meet you, I guess, even in this terrible place. I'm Evelen. Just Evelen" she replied, watching as he undid his uniform. "I don't think I have bandages, but I can look" she continued, getting out the backpack and checking it for bandages. She didn't remember if there were any or not, but it was worth a try, and it seemed like he needed some pretty badly. "Don't recall seeing a backpack either. I can try to shred bits of these clothes into something suitable, but I would rather not if I didn't absolutely have to. You seen any other people since getting in the temple?"

Nice to meet you Evelen. The man said as he wait for the first aid, however the backpack than Evelen have dont have any bandages or something similar than she could use, she still could use the young man shirt uniform for that, yet before decide she notice than the wound on his back was not so dangerous and just a clean and someething pressing the wound could be enough for the moment.

Doubt than you could had seen my backpack, the creature who beat me could had take it or maybe someone more. The soldier start to slowly get up and turn everywhere and take a moment to remember and try to answer Evelen last question.

Are you looking for someone? This place is really huge, but i manage to heard some voices coming from a room three floors up. I could try to take you there, but maybe i could not help you very well in any fight in my actual state.

The path continue ahead, but Evelen could also return or ask more before decide to continue her path

Evelen didn’t have any bandages in the backpack she had picked up, though a quick look at Karn’s wound showed that it probably wouldn’t need to be bandaged, as it wasn’t as serious as it had looked earlier. It would likely only need something relatively clean pressed against it. "Hey, give me your shirt for a bit" she said, reaching out. "I’m gonna tear a piece of it off to use as a compress." If allowed to she would do so, holding it tightly against the wound in order to stop what was left of the bleeding. "Yeah, I’m looking for my family. Three of them. I’d appreciate it if you could lead me to them, I’m just wandering around. I thought you might be one of them, just because the signs of battle were the first I’d seen. So if you’re ready, lead the way" she continued after a little bit of thought. She really hoped that he did know where they were, and that they would find them quickly.

The uniform shirt form a good bandage than looks to be able to protect the wound and help him to walk, however Evelen notice than the floor have maybe more blood than should have with this kind of wound, maybe this soldier was lucky enough to avoid a critical slash at a nerve or artery behind a vertebra.

Three!? Of course, led me guide you to where they could be. Said Karn as he check if he could move freely and then proceed for the path from where Evelen come, the swordswoman could see others cuts on the wall and rock remains as before, maybe the soldier battle has taken a long time and for that reason there arent too much monsters.

Evelen know than this man will take her back to the huge room with crystals and the first dead snake tail. The young man opened the door and Evelen manage to make a peek, there was not sign of battle and instead there looks to have some pannels and pictures, it was hard to know what they mean but the soldier just start to walk inside the room pressing some in an order until a hidden passage appear.
