After several long hours, Nala perked up as the scout returned, and whispered something into Grabiks ear. They had taken positions near the camp with the rest of the women, well out of the reported patrol routes of the men in the camp, who were more vigilant than Nala would have expected from human slavers, given their reputation among her people. As such, she had to stay hidden in the bushes, over five hundred feet from the edge of the clearing, which was a good thirty feet form the makeshift wall that the humans patrolled around. Grabik then quietly snuck over to her and said; "We are ready mistress. Once you have distracted the guards, we will send our men in through the tunnels. I will send the scout back to the cave once you and the other women begin moving forward." It was dark, the half moon not providing much light, particularly through the jungles dense canopy, but the lights of the guards magical lamps was plainly visible, and Nala could only hope that they would be sufficient to show her and the other women for what they were, before any of them were shot during the approach. Amanda, Charlotte and Violet stayed close to her, the former two clutching their weapons close.

"Patience, Grabik," Nala said when her daggerman crept up beside him. "Methodical in all things. Send the scout to the cave only after we make contact with the guards. These humans may grow suspicious at first, and we must make sure that they take the bait."

Internally, Nala was giving herself room to maneuver. There might be an outside chance that these humans were not slavers and something more akin to a prison colony. She intended to keep her promise to Amanda and Charlotte and Violet. She'd make certain that the humans she delivered them unto were good, and if these guards had law and order on their side, then she would consider raising the alarm and fighting the goblins before they could mount a victorious attack.

She nodded to herself. Yes. Delaying the scout would give her time to adjust to the proper course of action. It would delay the tunnelers just enough so that she could convince the guards to defend their mine if that was what needed to be done.

"Okay ladies, show time. Follow my lead, and remember, we've just escaped capture and are fleeing to the nearest place of possible safety. Don't oversell it."

Loosening her clothing, Nala broke cover, making noise and calling out "Help us! Please, don't shoot! Help!" as she made for the clearing and the human walls.

As she and the other women broke the line of trees, Nala was nearly blinded by spotlights, and heard a sudden loud screeching sound. It only lasted for a moment, and a second later, she heard a series of clicks, followed by a man loudly and firmly saying; "Stand where you are. Any that move will be fired upon." His voice was cold, and even listening to it made Nalas skin crawl from the shear emptiness of it. The other women instantly froze in place, and Nala didn't blame them, as the girls besides herself, Amanda and Charlotte were all heavily conditioned to react to such a dominating presence. She heard several more low clicks, but her eyes couldn't adjust to the light that was beaming down at her from the wall. As any attempts at movement were likely to get her shot, Nala did the same, as she'd expected to have to put up with some sort of danger. She was just glad that her initial warning had been headed, and all of them hadn't been shot down where they stood.

There were several moments of hushed voices that she couldn't quite hear, during which Nalas eyes tried, and failed, to adjust to the bright lights being beamed at her. Eventually, the same voice said; "Come on in then, and be quick about it." The lights dimmed, and Nala saw a half dozen men manning the walls, each holding a rifle that wasn't quite pointed at the girls coming out of the jungle, but could probably be brought to bear against them quite easily and quickly if necessary. There was a wooden gate opened before them, and the other girls quietly entered through it, their fear and tension almost tactile to Nala. Four men were standing outside of the makeshift fortress, holding swords and shields, and ushering them all inside.

Within the encampment, any doubts Nala had about this being a slaving operation were put to rest, as the dozen longhouses on the left side of it each had a short line of men in chains were slowly filing inside. Some of them glanced up at Nala and the rest of the girls, all of whom were nude, but most just kept their heads down as more armed men, two at each cabin, waited on either side of the door. There were another dozen men coming toward them, carrying weapons and looking bleary eyed and tired. So, it seemed that she had been right. There were, perhaps forty men in the camp who were armed, including the 12 coming toward her, the 6 on the wall, the 24 guarding the longhouses, and the four outside. From the size of the longhouses, she guessed that there were at least ten men per building, and that meant at least 120 slaves that would hopefully be happy to join her cause. As the last of her girls filed in, the men from outside came in as well, and the gate behind them closed shut. Grabik would be sending the scout now, and Nala estimated that there would be maybe half an hour before goblins came pouring out of the mine, the entrance to which Nala could see about three hundred feet away despite the dim lighting.

A man among those approaching spoke, his voice somewhat high pitched and nasal, and Nala noticed that he had no weapons, and seemed to have come forward out of the ranks of the other dozen men; "What in the hell's going on here? What are these... People, doing here?" The man was short and balding, and wore a red robe that fell to his ankles and slippers. The man on the wall replied first, his voice flat and cold as ever; "They came out of the jungle. One of them, that night elf wearing the drapes, shouted for help right before they came through the trees." She could now see the man, who wore no armor and was a human of dark skin and thick, corded muscles. He was naked to the waist, his impressive physique and numerous scars plainly visible, but his appealing body was offset by what looked like a permanent scowl that was stamped across his face, and the icy coldness of his eyes. "Bring her forward!" The other man said, and two of the men with shields and swords came up to either side of Nala, and nudged her forward until she stood in front of the balding man, who glared irritably at her and spat; "Explain yourself!"

Nala was impressed by the discipline exhibited by the men of this camp, and pleased to confirm her earliest suspicions about this place. Very well then, a half hour, and this place would be swarming with her goblins, and they'd be coming from the tunnels, not from the jungle.

She took in the visage of the bare topped man with the perpetual scowl. He seemed to be the immediate commander, but it remained to be seen if he was the true leader of this camp, or merely a sub boss or lieutenant. She must ignore the puppets and concentrate only on the masters who could pull their strings. The guards were puppets. This man though, if she could pull him, she could pull the others. Right now the man was angry at disturbance, she could use that anger, direct it.

"I am Nala. I am a representative of the Night Elf temple at Ch'hiesol. I and these women beg your help, we wish sanctuary from our former captors, a warband of goblins."

Nala let her chest heave a bit as she let her eyes glance at the bald man's muscles. She let her eyes flick down to his crotch and linger there for just half a moment before returning her gaze to his face, as if she were trying to hide the fact that she had momentarily been looking at his manhood. Subtleties could be used to implant hopes and sexual thoughts into the male mind. She was convinced that with enough practice and adherence to basic sexual tenets of attraction markers, the male mind would be helpless against her seductions.

"We are robbed of our possessions, and some of us are dazed and mentally distraught. Can you tend to us?"

She used the pause in her speech to glance around at the other human men. What were there eyes focusing on? Slavers in the middle of the sweltering jungle, on guard duty all day, in a camp that seemed to be devoid of women - now they faced a group of naked, sexually charged females. How much did their eyes linger on her curves and traverse the suppleness of their soft skin? Nala would pretend to affect shyness, and suddenly cross her arms over her showing bust, as though she were suddenly conscious of how naked she and her fellow girls were.

Let these men, these predators, believe they had trapped their prey. Let them gloat over them and toy with them. Let their anticipation slowly build. And molify the one in charge. If he is seduced, the rest shall follow. She focused her eyes on the leader. Eye contact was key. Let him feel the connection, let her vulnerability be imprinted on him.

Power games.

The bald man listened to Nala with an impatient look on his face, and in her covert glances about the camp, she noticed that the male slavers did seem to be eying up her and the other girls. She could feel the eyes of the man atop the gate boring into the back of her head, however, and she doubted that that mans gaze was amorous, or that if it was, that she would be in a position to do much afterwards. The bald man, however, cracked a grin which he probably thought was charming, and said; "Of course, of course! This jungle is so dangerous, sometimes. I wonder... What might a group of women be doing, wandering through the jungle and stumbling into the clutches of a group of goblins? And where are the little demons? Surely they have offered pursuit, and such creatures are not intelligent enough to think twice about diving into the light."

No matter.... I'm sure my men wouldn't mine sharing their bunks for a night or two. Isn't that right, boys?" He shouted the last two sentences, and a half-snicker, half-cheer went up among the slavers. After that, the bald man nodded to the man standing on top of the wall, who had not yet removed his eyes form the back of Nalas head. The bald man then offered his arm to Nala, and more quietly continued; "If you would join me, my fine young lady, I would have you garbed in something more appropriate for a woman of your station. A priestess should not wander the jungle in such a state of undress, after all!"

As he was saying this, the apparent lieutenant began shouting orders to the other slavers; "Get these women into the guards longhouses! No more than a half dozen to a tent! I want double the guards up here, now! And someone go lock down the mine!" With an assortment of grumbling and cheering, the slavers started leading Nalas girls away in clumps, herding them toward the far right corner of the camp, where the bald man and his escort had come from. Amanda and Charlotte threw one last careful glance at Nala as they were separated from her, keeping the visibly frightened Violet between them.

Of course, Nala frowned inwardly. The man had ordered the exact counter to her plan of action, but there was little point in letting it bother her. The goblins would be half an hour at figuring out there was trouble, and perhaps a few of them could be depended upon to not mess things up. There was still a chance of salvaging the situation.

The night elf drew herself up and looked coolly at the bald man.

"I would be grateful to have some proper clothes, as I'm sure all of these women would be. I have just one request," she said quietly as she took the bald man's arm. "There is a girl there, her name is Violet." She indicated the frightened girl with her finger.

"She is mentally and spiritually injured. Will you let me tend to her while in your presence? I fear for her health, and any man who would share his bunk with her might be in danger unless I were present. I am a calming influence upon her."

Nala did not doubt that the bald man would have a cruel streak, but he also struck her as a man with confidence. And it was a rare man indeed who refused two pretty females rather than just one to accompany him.

Raising her voice she addressed the other girls, and made sure that the other guards heard. "Please my friends, these guards will look after you and protect us from the jungle's dangers. Be thankful to them."

She was certain that would get a mirthful response from the men, but would also put the slavers at ease. There would be no need to be violent, not if the women were meant to be 'thankful.' Nala reserved a confident smile for Amanda and Charlotte as well as she drew close to the bald man, brushing her skin up against his.

Quieting her voice once again, Nala addressed the bald man. "I also think you and I should indeed speak some more. There may be more to discuss than you think."

She left that mystery to stew in the man's mind. He was a schemer. She knew the type. He also enjoyed words. That much was evident. She would give him an ample diversion this night - perhaps a very memorable one, if he played his cards right. He would be thinking that he was safe, that any goblin pursuit would be taken care of, his guards would be alert, and he would be free to enjoy Nala and possibly Violet by himself. He may even be a capable fighter or spell caster, and if he was, it was so much the better, as far as Nala was concerned. Already, she had knowledge of what needed to be done, and she waited for his answer, standing with her arm in his.

The goblins had surprised her several times with their cunning and initiative over the last day or so, and so it might be possible for the little demons to break through whatever obstacle the slavers put over their mine. Hopefully, it would only be some sort of door, with a heavy bar or two to hold it closed, perhaps, rather than some magical barrier. She doubted that any amount of cleverness would get the little demons through a magical barrier, at least not before the slavers had organized and devised some way to deal with the demons.

The bald man chuckles, and then motioned to one of his men, and then toward Violet, who was still between Amanda and Charlotte, saying; "Bring that girl to my tent, see that she is treated gently." Her insistence that the other women provide the men with proper thanks was met with exactly the reaction she'd expected, a jovial cheer from the slavers and a slight lifting of the nervousness from the woman, as their corrupted minds responded to the idea of sex with open glee. Many of them wore smiles as they were led away, save for Amanda and Charlotte, who now clutched at one another and glanced repeatedly back toward Nala, even falling behind their group for a moment before one of the slavers noticed, and smacked Charlotte roughly on her ass in order to hurry her along.

"Fret not, priestess. All of you will be treated with utmost respect and dignity so long as you remain our guests." The bald man said, as he too had been looking in that direction, and he wore a sly grin on his face as he spoke. The implications were rather clear, in that. As she took his offered arm, the man turned his smile to Nala, and then said; "Quite right. Allow me to lead you to my humble quarters, milady. I am afraid that conditions here are rather... Spartan, but I'm sure that you can understand why, given our circumstances. No sense in paying for luxuries if they might be stolen en' route or destroyed in a raid by some vile jungle native."

He began walking back the way he had come, and the guards fell in step around him, Violet now between a trio of the bald mans tired-looking bodyguard, one on each side and one behind. Unlike the other corrupted women, she didn't have an eager smile on her face, and glanced skittishly between each of the men around her as she and Nala were led across the camp. They passed more longhouses, which men were leading her girls into, until they reached a small cabin. The man led them inside, and the guards fanned out around the building.

Within, there was a poorly furnished but surprisingly clean room, spreading out across the entire structure, which made it seem larger than it really was. There was a simple, rectangular table with a trio of wicker chairs on the far left corner, a desk covered in delicate glass instruments and pieces of paper half-covered in ink with a single wooden stool in front of it in the near left corner, a moderately sized four-post bed in near right corner, and a counter with a set of cabinets in the wall above it in the far right. All very well organized and neat, but with the center of the room empty, the room felt very hollow. The man led Nala and Violet, who had been released from her guards, over to the chairs, and motioned for the two of them to sit down as she said; "Would you like something to drink, perhaps? Some wine, or some cider? It is late, so I'm afraid that there won't be much to eat unless you'd like some rations that I, for one, wouldn't feed to a dog, much less eat myself."

Her mind ran through the possibility that the humans might have erected a magical barrier. If so, it would be one of this bald man's design. He was the only human she saw here who might pass for a will worker. Being a human, Nala doubted the man's skill approached her own, but even so, it would not do to underestimate him. She appreciated the man's affected courtesy, and didn't mind putting on a show for him. Her real concern at the moment was for Amanda and Charlotte. Had she prepared them enough? Probably not, what with the way the looked back at her anxiously. Silly fools. Could they not tell that those looks were a dead giveaway? The bald man and the guard captain were not entirely incompetent.

She sighed silently. It was possible that their anxiety could arise from the realization that they would have to sexually gratify these men, rather than be considered the anxiety of inexperienced women realizing a plan was not working out perfectly.

Things rarely went perfectly according to plan. That was just the nature of the world. They simply hadn't had enough time or resources to arrange a fool proof plan and what was important now was for both of them to remain in control. They had the easy part. They were in a long house with perhaps just several partners. With the techniques Nala had shown them, they could sexually pacify those guards and slit their throats within ten minutes - but that was assuming that they were alert and competent. Nala could not trust that she had weened the girls of their weakness in just one day. No matter though, she had her own methods of dealing with things.

If you need something done right, do it yourself.

Nala and Violet reached the bald man's cabin, and as they entered and shut the door behind them, the night elf put a calming arm around Violet's shoulders and smiled reassuringly at the girl.

"There, there, Violet my sweet. You're safe. Here now..." she pressed her lips softly against Violet's and kissed her sweetly. When she pulled away she gestured for Violet to sit down in one of the wicker chairs while Nala remained standing. When the bald man saw her kiss, she wear a mask of serenity as she answered his unspoken question.

"As a priestess, it is my duty to understand the ways in which I can soothe and relax my charges. Young Violet here enjoys my affections and they calm her. She will be much calmer now, won't you Violet my sweet?"

She knew that Violet would indeed feel better, for Nala showed no fear, and it was Nala who was her mistress, and knew what was best for her. She also knew that the bald man would be enjoying his evening's prospects even more now. Best that she continue to entice him.

"I think you are too humble, my gracious host. Your quarters are wonderful to behold, given what I and the other girls have recently been subjected to. Again, I must thank you for your hospitality. Alas, must I beg to know your name, or do you prefer that I simply guess?" she smiled a knowing and playful smile. "And yes, some wine would be lovely, if you'll be drinking as well. Just a small amount for Violet here. I don't think too much alcohol would be good for her... and... well, it may be that I've just grown used to our nakedness, but you did mention some spare garments, did you not?"

Nala was happy to have these pleasantries continue for just a bit. A game of cat and mouse was being played here, but just who was the cat and who the mouse - ah, now that remained to be seen.

Violet melted into Nalas kiss, the corrupted girl instantly calming down completely as her tongue danced clumsily against Nalas for the few seconds that the kiss lasted. In fact, when she pulled away, it was if she'd never been uncomfortable, a blank, serene smile covering Violets face. The bald man smiled disarmingly, seemingly totally unconcerned with the scene before him, and didn't make any comment on the kiss.

The bald man laughed, a surprisingly warm and pleasant sound which Nala hadn't expected from such a man, and replied; "I never did say my name, did I? My apologies. I am Demetrius. Lieutenant Colonel Demetrius, to be precise. I present myself at your service, milady." he issued a slight bow, his right around tucked under his stomach, and he came back up from it still smiling. At her insistence that he drink as well, Demetrius replied; "Of course. I was just about to turn in for the night when you all arrived here, and I always like to end the day with a glass or two of wine." He immediately turned and headed over to the cupboards, opening two and taking a tall thin bottle out of one and a trio of glasses out of the other. He opened the bottle, and poured something into each of the glasses, his back to Nala and his body partially obscuring what he was doing.

He only answered her question about clothes as he turned around, carrying the glasses in his hand and the bottle under his arm; "They're on the way. My men have to scrounge, as I don't think anything they have lying around would do your figure any kind of justice." He set a glass that was only one quarter full of the red wine in front of Violet, and then offered a half full one identical to another that he carried to Nala. Once she had taken it, he sat down in another chair and held out his glass in front of him as he said; "I don't think it'll take them too much longer to find you and Violet here something to eat. In the meantime, I do hope you won't mind remaining as you are. I must say, you do a great deal for the aesthetics of this place, priestess. There are things of beauty to be found in the jungle, to be sure, but those that don't kill you outright will usually try to lay their eggs in you. Or something of the sort."

He took a sip of his wine as he took the bottle out form udner his arm and set it on the table, and then after a pause, took another sip before sighing and saying; "It's nothing expensive mind, as most good wines need to be chilled to bring out their flavor, and such is beyond my expense out here, but it's not terrible by any means."

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lieutenant Colonel Demetrius," Nala said with a smile, approaching the man and taking a drink from his extended hand. "Am I to assume then that this is a military operation that you are running here in the middle of the jungle? To be quite honest, when I led the girls in this direction, I was unsure of what sort of installation you had running here. Though really, anything is preferable to those goblins, or to the dangers of the jungle. As you say, there are many dangers."

The night elf sipped at the wine, swirling it around in her mouth before swallowing it down. She doubted the man's wine had anything adverse in it. This installation was unlikely to have visitors who merited such indirect countermeasures. The threat of violence in this camp was so palpable. Who needed poison in a wild place such as this?

What Nala wanted now was confirmation of purpose. What was this camp, exactly? The man was exhibiting warmth and restraint in the face of absolute power over herself and violet. Was he testing them? Did he need to be killed? Her demeanor continued to be confident and womanly, but she was prepared for violence at any moment.

"As for garments," she added, "I'm certain these spoiled curtains do nothing for my figure either. Perhaps you have a coat? or perhaps some blankets for young Violet here? Unless you think the price of your hospitality should be the privilege of our... aesthetics?"

She crooked an eyebrow playfully at Demetrius, suggesting that she was not offended by the possibility that he appreciated Violet's naked form and her own figure as well.

"Military? You could say that. I am here under orders, but many of the men here are more mercenary than soldier. Most are an alright sort, just men with a skill that want more than they were given, but a few are..... Not stable. If you must interact with the captain of the guards, for instance, I would recommend keeping out of arms reach. Or, perhaps bullets reach, if possible." Demetrius' tone was half joking, and as he finished, he sipped at his wine as well. Violet, meanwhile, took the glass of wine form the table and stared at it, a strange expression on her face.

The drink was sweet, but also fairly strong, and the warmth of her surroundings didn't help the matter either. She was already feeling the effects only a few moments after she'd taken her sip, though she was hardly intoxicated after only a sip or two. Meanwhile, if Demetrius was expecting things to turn violent, it didn't show in his posture, or in his mannerisms. He seemed completely relaxed, as if there wasn't a thing in the world that was wrong.

"There is little need for a coat in this climate, and my blankets are all fairly thin, I'm afraid, and wouldn't conceal any better than those drapes." He smiled as he spoke, his voice smooth and confident, as he continued; "I'm sure something will be along in short order. Though, I can't say that I have any qualms with the scenery remaining as it is. Without the drapes, perhaps, as they are quite ratty as you say." His tone was half joking, and he took another sip of wine, draining the last of his glass, which he set down upon the table.

He became more serious for a moment, though it was a pensive look, not one indicating any threat, and he cautiously said; "I've little knowledge of the effects of long term captivity by demons, but I was told that it has harsh effects on both the mind, and the body. You, clearly, are not hampered in thought, though Violet here seems a little addled. Neither of you shows any markings either, as both of you are quite gorgeous, and I spotted no signs of such from any of the other women you arrived with. Was I misinformed?"

Nala nodded as the man passed on the mercenary nature of this camp. Hired thugs to guard a private mining operation. Demetrius was here either as an ex lieutenant colonel discharged from his forces for some unscrupulous personality trait - or, quite possibly, he could be here under official orders to give this operation the air of support from a strong nation. Certainly those guns had to have come from the human nation to the west.
