As she drank Sofia's blood, Demeter felt her body restoring itself rapidly, and after a minute or so, all pain had vanished, though physical harm remained. "Demeter, you're alright!" Idian exclaimed, before leaning forward to give Demeter a firm embrace, while Sofia leaned back slightly, a slight flush on her pale undead cheeks.

"Idian... Idian, come now..." Sofia began to fuss a little, leaning back in, and trying to shoo Idian off. "She's still not well, and she's been reduced to such a sorry state... Let her down to rest a moment," she said suddenly showing a side Demeter might find surprising as the vampire laid her back down and took a square cloth of soft fabric and began to try and clean Demeter's wounds. "... Thank you," Sofia said with a prideful yet embarrassed expression.

Demeter blinked bloody tears from her eyes as the pain receded, her body partially healing itself somehow. As her mind cleared, she realized that Idian was holding her and smiled up at him for a moment before recognizing Sofia's voice and glancing toward her. "You're... Alive." Demeter muttered, her voice harsh from the after-effects of the injuries she had just sustained.

As Idian released her and Sofia began to clean her wounds, Demeter gazed up at her in surprise, though the expression was masked yet by the blood covering most of her body. "You're welcome," she replied awkwardly after a moment as Sofia dabbed at her injuries with a cloth. "There's no need for that," the elf said simply, the departure of the pain having allowed her to weave again. Sighing to herself, Demeter forced herself up to a sitting position and conjured a small amount of pure water, which ran over her skin and cleansed her body of blood and grime quickly before it slithered away, turned a dark red. Gritting her teeth, Demeter began to use her magic to set her injuries further on the mend, getting herself in good enough shape to walk under her own power if nothing else.

Her memory was fuzzy after what had happened, vague recollections of the fight prior to her injuries the only thing she was capable of, and so her first thoughts went to how she had been healed of her injuries enough to allow for this. "What did you do to heal me?"

Letting Demeter wash herself, Sofia did not interfere. After she was finished, Sofia flushed red at Demeter's question, before averting her gaze. "That's... That's not really the important point, is it? You're healed, and that's all that matters." Sofia said, but Idian turned to Demeter to answer in her stead.

"She fed you her blood." Idian announced, "She did that once to me as well. Nothing bad happens, you just... Get some funny thoughts... And dreams..." he said, while Sofia's face was completely turned away, as if in pure, utter shame.

"I did it with no ill intentions! Or perverse ones for that matter! I can't do healing, so... That was the only other way!" she insisted, and just as she said that, Demeter felt her heart throb, as Sofia seemed... Unexpectedly cute while blushing as she was in front of her.

Demeter quirked an eyebrow at Sofia's declaration that it was unimportant and would have been content with that, but when Idian announced that Sofia had fed her her blood Demeter became quite alarmed. And then, the sudden strange thoughts that Idian had spoken of came into her head at Sofia's strange words, causing Demeter to blush slightly. "Uhh... Right..." she muttered distractedly, "Well... Thank you too then!"

Demeter stretched out her hand, and her discarded staff floated over to her and stood erect beside her, which she took a hold of and used to get her aching body back up to its feet. "So, what now?"

"Now... We deal with her..." Sofia replied, looking to the witch on the ground, who was, as they'd be able to see after a moment, simply laying there, completely conscious. Her threads were still, almost as if she'd given up and was simply resorting to laying there defenseless, while Bubbles walked over from having finished chewing on the witch she attacked to pick up Octavia's hat, and put it on her head for no apparent reason.

"... And your fish friend is extremely weird." Sofia commented on the now-dressed-as-a-witch-instead-of-naked sahuagin.

Demeter glanced at Octavia, and then at Bubbles as she put on the witch's hat, and then back. "Yes... She is," said Demeter fondly, but her expression and pose became quite frosty as she gazed at the woman who had very nearly killed her. "Do what you want with her," Demeter said quite calmly as she casually plucked the defensive stone from her pocket and flicked it at Octavia, ready to activate it's magic canceling effects if the woman started any sort of magic at all. "It's your domain, and thus your decision. She doesn't seem to have anything to say in her defense."

Sofia did not respond to Demeter's suggestion, already walking up to Octavia with her sword still drawn. Standing over her, Sofia did not raise her blade. She merely tapped her blade against Octavia's shoulder and said, "Get up, and get out. You and your coven, now," with an authoritative tone.

Octavia let out an audible sigh as Sofia said that, but did not move from the ground. "I wish you would have killed me instead of saying that..." Octavia said with a gloomy tone. "The punishment that crazed bitch offered would be better than any painful death."

"I am aware," Sofia replied, "but for threatening my guests, I find that a suitable end for you."

With that, Octavia rose, and let out another sigh, "If I had known you had powerful friends like this, I would have asked for help instead. But, I guess I lost my chance. Sorry for the trouble I caused... Oh, and one more thing before I die, so I go without regrets," Octavia said, looking to Demeter, "The one who made me do this Told me specifically not to kill you. I think she had some special kind of interest in you, so watch your back."

"Wait," Demeter said, "What? Whoever sent you here mentioned me.... By name, by description, or by both!? And was it just me... Or were Idian and Bubbles included too?" Demeter was highly alarmed to hear Octavia's words, though not so much so that she forgot that the woman had just very nearly killed her.

"Name, description, time, and who you were traveling with. But she only mentioned who you were with, not to care about them. Just you." Octavia replied. "Why? Does someone who carries a white rose around mean anything to you?" Octavia inquired back to Demeter, and despite her question, there was no one Demeter would remember related to white roses at all, nor had she ever seen a white rose before in her life.

"A white rose!? I've never even heard of one... Could you tell if they were male or female? Human, demon, or mamono? Anything? I haven't had contact with anyone not in that village where Idian found me or in this courtyard for the last sixty years. I haven't the slightest idea of who this person might be.... But judging by the fact that they forced you to attempt to assassinate Sofia in order to hand this place to the demons, they probably aren't anyone I'd want to meet." Demeter paused and gazed at Octavia for a moment before glancing at Idian and Sofia in turn to see what they thought of this.

"I think nothing of this white rose character. If she needs to rely on someone like Octavia to do her deeds, then she is of no threat to me." Sofia expressed her thoughts, as did Idian.

"I personally don't really understand what Octavia is thinking right now... If we should trust what she's saying, and if someone is really after you, or if she's just lying to try and get an extra leg up... I can't really tell." Idian expressed.

"I've met girls like Demeter here before, and I've known Sofia for a long time, kid. I know when my time's up. Even though neither could care less if I suffer, I know they're not bad people. So I'm giving you a heads up, purely out of the ounce of good will in my heart." Octavia said truthfully, before answering Demeter. "Female... Seemed like a demon, but she wasn't giving off any succubus magic... So I have no idea what she is. All I know is that she hates the 'new world,' and wants everything to go back to the time before the latest demon lord's rule. So that basically means going back to the time when monsters killed humans for a living."

"I have no desire that you ought to suffer, despite the fact that you just very nearly killed me," Demeter corrected Octavia reproachfully. "But it was you who brought this on yourself, Octavia. What other option do you think exists for you? You have betrayed Sofia once already in an attempt to save yourself, and in doing so you attacked me and... One whom I care for. What promise have I that you won't do the same to me if I attempt to help you now? Thank you for what you've told me, but..." she trailed off, not sure what else to say on the matter. "Can you offer me any guarantee of your loyalty if I seek to intervene on your behalf?"

Octavia laughed, putting a hand to her forehead. "Thanks for the lecture?" she said to Demeter, before lowering her hand back down. "Your ideas are as good as mine," she replied to her question. "In all honesty, I can't think of a single reason you could have to trust me, or any way for me to prove you can trust me without you putting trust in me to begin with... I'm honestly surprised you're even wondering about this, but that's the truth of the situation. Trust me and you're taking a gamble," Octavia said with a neutral expression.

"Well... She's honest," Demeter said feebly. Octavia wasn't making a very strong case for herself, but... Demeter wasn't quite willing to damn her, despite what had passed between them. "Idian.... I don't know... Can we really allow this? She's going to die if what she says is true..... I know it's Sofia's decision what to do with her while she's in her domain, but we're not staying here forever. Could we... Look after her, perhaps?"

Idian folded his arms, and lowered his head in thought. "... Well, I'd say just to keep her around and see if she's trustworthy during that time. If she acts funny, then we can do something else... But you have to do whatever we say, okay?" Idian said directly to Octavia.

Octavia was digging her pinkie into her ear as she heard what Idian and Demeter said. "... Come again? I know I'm damning myself by saying this, but you guys... Are way too trusting." Octavia said with a frown, as if actually upset to see them being so kind as to even invite her to travel with them. As she frowned, Bubbles came up, and took her hat off, before giving it back to Octavia. Octavia herself twisted her lips, took the hat, and shook it off as it had become damp, before gracefully placing it back on her own head.

"Yeah, sure. I'll do what you guys want. Even rub your toes if it means not getting turned to ash." she replied to Idian.

"Well... The first thing that you have to do is let Bubbles wear your hat if she wants to!" Demeter said somewhat playfully, though she then became serious again. "I don't trust you in the slightest. I simply don't want to have your death on my conscience unless I know that you've earned it, which I'm not so sure about yet." Though she put up a brave front, Demeter secretly wondered if she'd be able to kill Octavia even if she did betray them. "Sofia, could you put up with her presence for a little longer?"

Octavia visibly twitched at Demeter's first request, before nodding. "... Fine..." she said with extreme reluctance. "But that's a weird reason, when we're talkin' about someone who threatened someone you care for."

"After what you've done? For you, I will be happy to allow it." Sofia said with a complete switch in attitude towards Demeter. "But more importantly, you're all messy. Can't have you going back to bed in such a miserable state! Come, let's get you cleaned off in the best bath this castle has to offer." she invited Demeter, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and giving her nothing but smiles, which, due to the blood, made Demeter feel hot in the face.

Meanwhile, Idian was blinking at the pair. "... This is giving me deja vu." he commented.

Demeter blinked in surprise at Sofia's changed attitude, but before she could respond in any way the vampire had swept her up with one arm and started leading her off. Blushing slightly from the effects of the blood, Demeter glanced back at Idian and said, "Deja vu? What are you talking about?" She looked somewhat desparately at her lover, searching for some explanation as to just what was going on with the woman dragging her away, but for her part, Demeter didn't actively resist the idea. She had cleaned herself off already, but she still had to half lean on her staff in order to walk, and some relaxation would give her an opportunity to heal herself properly.

Idian shrugged. "Nothing much, I guess. I suppose I got what I wanted..." Idian said with a smile, before Sofia turned and waved at them.

"Good night, everyone!" Sofia announced, holding Demeter close, using her strength to more than make up for Demeter's weakness.

"... What a fickle vampire. Do you feel bad?" Octavia asks Idian after a moment, still within earshot of Demeter, giving Idian a curious look.

Idian shook his head, still smiling as he watched the pair go. "No... This is for the best. I don't like conflict anyway." he said with a chuckle, while Octavia reached back to tenderly touch her head with a wince.

"You don't say..." Octavia said, as Demeter would be led off by Sofia towards the west wing, near her tower, and towards a large section with a changing room and huge bath capable of fitting 100 people inside, and would be alone with just the two of them, unless Demeter spoke up.

"What are you talking about!?" Demeter called over her shoulder with some alarm present in her voice, having no reason to suspect what the other two were apparently quite keenly aware of. "Wait, what.... I don't.... Idian!" she shot another longing and helpless gaze back at Idian just before Sofia dragged her out of sight, and then settled into silence as Sofia led her through the corridors of her estate, ending up at a practically palatial bath that Demeter looked on with well concealed awe.

"All of this is yours!?" she exclaimed incredulously, "Is so much really necessary? I used to bathe in a pool next to my hut that I could barely fit into..." she finished somewhat feebly before glancing around, wondering just what Sofia intended that had had Octavia and Idian acting so strangely.
