I don't think so, I'm pretty sure it tracks the same ip more than once per day.

In total I get around 10,000 views per day on my blog at this point, so all the discussions about the game on various forums and misc reviews from japanese sites really pulls in a lot of traffic (and sales). There aren't many GOR platformers, so it's not very often that a game will go under the radar.

Reasons why I think it was a big hit:
1. It's a metroidvania game.
1.1 It's got hentai content.
1.2 The game can be challenging without being too annoying (see those 3 steps then battle RPG game)
2. It's done (for the most part) by one person.
3. The price is 'low'

With DLSite usually is swarmed with CG set, RPGMaker games (which frankly varies from frustrating to play to 'that's nice', but never quite "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY") and visual novels, a non-linear game like Kurovadis certainly stands out.

I think Yahtzee's word from Shadow of Collossus review would summarize it best: "There's nothing else like it (in a long time anyway) and it's just damn good, damn damn good"

4. It has a demo that's not a 2 second piece of shit that tells you nothing about the game.

There are no changes. I just switched to using an unlock file instead of the alternate link.

Hey Kyrieru I bought the game from your blog as soon as it came out, is it possible to download the demo for V6 and copy the files from the V1 full with the game still working properly?

If by files you mean the save file then no. The save files aren't encrypted anymore so it won't work.

No I mean the full version files and move them into the demo folder. Do I just move the Ultracrypt.dll?

There are no full version files other than V6. You download the V6 demo and the unlock file.

Ultracrypt was a DLL that encrypted saves.

I mean there are no unlock files for earlier versions. They're just full versions without it.

Wow, congratulations.
I'm glad it worked out so well for you.

Definitely looking forward to your next game (even though I'm not finished with Kurovadis yet).

you have my $5 as well, what with this and kickstarter, I'm backing a few indie projects lately :)

That said I'm a little stuck, I figured out how to get the double jump after using my brain and creating the stepping stone, but I don't know where to go next, I found the aria with the electric and the hydraulic pistons that push you up but I can't seem to gain enough momentum to real either side just enough to reach the top, then the electricity usually breaks any momentum I was trying to build anyway. I believe I need to go here as I can't find anyplace else to go as of yet (can#'t break the white boxes, can't bypass the green vine barrier things)

It's still not up on the english DLSite! I'm a bit confused since it only takes a few days usually, especially since this is not a Japanese title... Argh... Patience is so hard sometime.

Anyway, I'm glad to see that the game is getting sales and recognition... If the demo and the comments here are any indication, it's definitively an awesome game, and if it's selling, it means the creator will be more inclined to make new games... And if we get new games, everyone wins! As soon as DLSite puts it up anyway...

Well I did it. Turns out the minimum level for game completion is 3, as you gain two levels from killing the pillars. The last section is ridiculous when trying to avoid killing things and you die in about 3 hits.

Also I found a way to skip getting the roll, the result of which is getting stuck in the mansion because you can't destroy the blocks to get to the boss or get out of the area.

- Attack x3 (wait) Jump (wait) Hold forward
Cancelling the third attack into jump without holding any directions gives the jump the same forward momentum as the attack, then you just start holding forward to keep the momentum and jump about half the width of the screen. It might be worth leaving this in the game instead of patching it... Every game needs weird tricks :)

is there a way to change the get up and struggle to mashing the punch key instead? the arrows keys make it to easy.

lol at least it is back :)

Also to note, D-Gate posted more info on his blog about the game including screen shots, controls and what looks like picture guides for wall jumping and other stuff like that.

Glad to see game makers supporting their own!
