"In the future, please try not to get stabbed" she said with a playful grin, glad that it had turned out alright.

Now, though, she wasn't sure what she ought to do. The sailors who had just attacked them had implied that Roger was only interested in getting her into bed. Nothing good could come of this. When she was clothed, such as she was, she had a brief moment of panic. Where were her glasses? Thankfully they were within easy sight, and after picking them up and examining them she found that they were undamaged. She put them on with a relieved sigh and moved to pick up her bow and quiver, taking a little bit of time to gather the stray arrows that had fallen out of it before rushing out of her room and up towards the deck. If they were under attack, she was surely going to do all she could to fight off whoever it was attacking them.

Her rush through the abandoned cots was easy enough. Nothing directly presented itself as a challenge to impede her progress. The rocking of the boat sent her stumbling a few times, though she managed to steady herself enough to continue her sprint to the stairs with only a few seconds lost. Another badly timed crash against the boat threatened to send her tumbling back down the stairs but the archer persevered, pulling herself up the stairs like a mountain climber.

And as she climbed that last step, she saw what was boarding the ship. No pirates nor sailors were arrayed against them, the things clearly weren't human. From the waist up they looked like fair maidens, most with long hair. The color of their hair varied between them, some with red, some black, others blonde, and so on. Their torsos looked similar to the statues of goddesses crafted by sculptors and stored in museums, they managed to combine curves and an athlete's slim frame together with an unfair ease. Their faces were much like their bodies, looking as if they had been stolen from a bust in some museum or another. To look in their eyes was to feel unbearable pangs of lust.

There were only three features, albeit very obvious ones, that would cause a person to sort the otherwise fair-looking maidens into the monster category. For one, they had no legs. Instead, they had a long serpent's tail that dragged behind them. To add to that, they held skin colors of every variety, with the exception of those that might be found on a human, though most common among them were blue and red. Finally, they had four arms. Arms that they were putting to use by wielding polearms with dangerous crescent blades, tridents, swords, or other dangerous piece of steel, some were wielding a combination of the aforementioned weapons all at once. And they were currently battling with the sailors all across the deck.

More worrying was what the captain was against on the quarterdeck. Massive tentacles had raised out of the sea and he was ducking and dodging the deadly things, leaving shallow cuts in them when he could, though she doubted it felt like anything more than a particularly annoying wasp to the creature. The archer quickly realized what had shaken the boat earlier, as one of the tentacles slammed into the quarterdeck, at a spot the captain had just removed himself from, and nearly knocked her to her feet from the force of the impact. Looking at the more immediate situation, Catherine quickly spotted two of the three sailors who had assaulted Roger and her the night before. The burly man picked up one of the attacking women and threw her overboard like nothing more than a barrel. The wheezing man was desperately defending himself against a golden devil that harassed him with a pole-arm wielded in each set of hands. There was no sign of Roger.

The third of her former assailants quickly became apparent, as she heard a shriek from her side. She turned just in time to see him plant a cutlass into the side of a blue devil that had been sneaking up on her. It slumped to the ground, dead. "Good gods, watch yourself, girl! You don't want these things to drag you away or you probably ain't going to breathe fresh air again!" He reprimanded her. The siren's shriek, however, had attracted the attention of three other sirens, which advanced on the two all at once, two were red and wielding four sabers apiece, the last one gold and clutching a single staff with all four hands. Catherine and the weaselly sailor had a fight on their hands.

The entire area below deck was abandoned now, no sign of the fight last night, which was good Catherine supposed. The boat’s continuous rocking presented a slight obstacle to her as she stumbled from side to side and forward a bit, struggling to find her sea-legs. She bounded up the stairs, taking them two at a time, which almost caused her to fall backwards when something crashed against the side of the boat hard once more. Instead she managed, by an impressive feat of balance that she likely didn’t actually have, to keep herself upright and propelled forward.

When she got to the top of the stairs she laid eyes on the enemies that were boarding the ship, and her mouth dropped open a little. Fighting against the sailors were, from the waist up at least, beautiful women. They had an extra pair of arms just under the first, and were many different skin colors that wouldn’t have been found on a human, but that didn’t detract at all from the near perfection of their forms. Their faces were without blemish, the bone structure just right. They also combined Catherine’s curves with a much slimmer, more athletic form, which inspired not a little jealousy on her part. Even the serpentine tails that extended below their waists somehow added to their beauty, giving them a sort of regal air.

A loud crashing sound behind her caused her to turn and look up at the quarterdeck, and soon found the thing that had woken her up. The captain was ducking and weaving around huge tentacles, slashing at them with his sword and making very little progress against them. Another powerful slam of tentacle against boat rocked it enough that she almost fell down, though she kept her balance with a quick wave of her arms. She turned again to look at the deck, quickly finding some of the men she and Roger had fought earlier. The big, burly man was in the process of picking up one of the monsters and simply throwing her overboard, the action seemingly quite easy for him. Meanwhile the one whose nose she had broken was trying desperately to stay alive, barely staving off an enemy fighting with several polearms. It just didn’t seem fair, somehow. Her eyes scanned for Roger, wanting to pick him out of the crowd and rush to help him, but she couldn’t find him.

A scream just beside her snapped her away from the deck to pay attention to her immediate surroundings. The weaselly man who had stabbed Roger was standing beside her, pulling his sword out of a dead monster, who would surely have knocked her senseless if he hadn’t intervened. Before she could say anything back at him more of the beautiful enemies appeared, two of them red-skinned and wielding four swords at once, one of them gold and carrying a staff. "Let’s focus on the red one to the right" she said, quickly readying her bow and firing off an arrow at it. She hoped to cut down on their numbers relatively early, so that they could turn the numbers advantage around.

The red siren that Catherine had marked for death seemed to understand that it was being targeted. Its blades went into a graceful flurry, whipping to and fro and blocking any vector of attack that the weaselly sailor might have had. The sea devil even managed to smack Catherine's arrow from its flight. This didn't bother the archer's unlikely ally, however, as he advanced on her warily, watching her defenses for an opening. He spotted what he thought was a lapse and lashed out with his cutlass, but it was deflected and the red creature landed a counterattack, leaving a red line on his forearm.

The other devils took the opportunity to attack Catherine and she only barely managed to back away from the other red siren's whirling blades. The golden one kept her distance and began to mutter an incantation, directed at Catherine, but nothing came of the mutterings. As best the archer could tell, the spell had fizzled. But, while she was managing to keep her skin intact, in the chaos of distancing herself from the dangerous swords, Catherine couldn't get another shot off at the siren that the weaselly sailor was fighting.

She wouldn't need to, though. He continued to watch and wait as the creature whirled her swords about, and she continued her pattern as if daring him to attack again. A challenge that he accepted in an unexpected way. Her blades were down from her face for just a second, and he spotted it and launched his fist at her, connecting squarely with her jaw. The sickening crunch of bone could be heard beneath the clashing of metal on deck and crashing of the tentacles, and Catherine could tell just from looking at the woman's formerly perfect face that her chin was broken.

That wasn't the end of it, either, as his free hand maneuvered to grab her long hair and yanked her toward him, stunning her so badly that she dropped one of her blades. She swung one of her remaining swords at him as a last ditch effort to drive him away, but it was too late. His cutlass came down, severing the hand that held the sword, then that deadly blade came back to his torso and he cut out, easily slashing through her neck, with such force that she was sent spinning to the deck as he let go of her hair. The pooling blood on the deck of the ship signified her end.

Catherine had more pressing things to deal with than the gory spectacle that her ally-of-the-moment had put on. She turned back to the task of dodging two deadly devils. The archer managed to dodge another four swings from the remaining red siren, but she caught the golden eyes of the casting siren for just a second. It was a mistake, she realized, as unnatural arousal flushed through her body, looking the golden sirens in the eyes, at the very least, wasn't something that a person could do too often without dropping to their knees and surrendering.

Still, her little skirmish was going well, even if it was difficult to tell how the ship was doing as a whole in all the chaos. The two just needed to keep it up.

The red monster noted that it was soon to be under attack and began a startling defense, spinning its blades about in a graceful, almost beautiful, way, which easily knocked Catherine’s arrow out of the air. The weaselly sailor’s attempt to attack her was also easily parried and then countered, leaving him with a cut on his arm. The archer didn’t have any time to worry about him, though, as the other red Siren lunged at her, swords flailing, and Catherine was just barely able to keep out of the way. The final enemy stayed back, apparently preparing a spell, though nothing came of it. She couldn’t watch her ally’s fight very closely, but a quick glance saw him punching his adversary, devastating her jaw with an audible crunch. When she looked next, he had just finished nearly beheading the Siren, a sight which made Catherine feel more than a little ill. Still, she was being kept too much on her toes to think about it or look at it long, as she dodged the slashing swords. The archer tried to keep tabs on the golden Siren, but one look in the monster’s eyes made her feel weak in the knees, magical arousal surging through her. Right, no eye contact… she thought, quickly diverting her eyes towards the remaining red Siren, trying to fire off an arrow at her.

Catherine managed to fire off a frantic shot in-between the remaining red devil's assault on her. Unfortunately, it went sailing past the woman harmlessly, due to the hurried nature of the archer's attempt. The weaselly sailor came to her aid, but his target was more prepared than the last two had been. She parried his cutlass with one of her four swords and took a swipe at him with the other. He had no other option but to back away from the counterattack.

Despite looking away, Catherine could feel the continued assault of the golden caster's will on her mind. Pangs of terrible arousal continued to flow through her, even as she used her unlikely comrade's distraction to put an arrow in the back of the red siren's top-most right arm, causing the woman's target to drop a weapon. The sailor rushed forward to utilize the serpent-tailed creature's shock at the projectile and cut deeply into her torso, but had to hop back to avoid the counteroffensive as his target fought through the pain in order to deliver another two potentially deadly attacks. The archer felt another pang of arousal tear through her surprised body. She could almost feel the golden siren's eyes on her, boring into her mind, even though she wasn't looking back.

The remaining red devil was on her last legs, so to speak, and the only other raider directly focusing on the two temporary allies was the golden one. It was still a winnable battle, but if Catherine didn't get herself under control soon then things might go very poorly from there.

The red Siren didn’t let up in her assault on Catherine, though the archer managed to get off a rushed shot at her. It sailed harmlessly away, the hurry really showing, though she had some hope that it would at least create an opening by distracting the enemy. Unfortunately it did no such thing, and the red monster turned slightly to counterattack the weaselly sailor. It forced him to back off, but that itself was what caused the opening, and Catherine lined up a more careful shot that put an arrow through one of the Siren’s arms, causing it to drop its weapon.

Still, Catherine could feel the golden Siren continue to intrude into her mind, unnatural arousal welling up inside of her and spreading even further. Even as her comrade slashed deeply into red one’s torso, ducking a few more desperate counterattacks, she could feel those eyes upon her, even though she couldn’t see them. They pierced into her, and she could feel the dominating will of the Siren begin to overpower her own. She was aware that her panties were becoming quite wet, and her knees were weak and wobbly. The red enemy seemed to be weakening, though, and if they could just down her quickly and get the golden one to lose her focus they would be fine. If they couldn’t, Catherine would probably be on her knees masturbating pretty soon… She notched up another arrow and took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind and hold it until she shot at the red Siren and exhaled.

The archer nocked another arrow and released it, only for it to go wide as all the others before it had. The rocking of the boat and the slithering movements of her opponents had confounded almost all of her efforts, to that point. The weaselly sailor had more luck as he ducked two swings, and whirled around a third in a motion that brought him face to face with the remaining red devil. With a flick of his wrist, his cutlass was buried in her abdomen. He sawed the blade out and to the side, allowing a waterfall of crimson to pour down the front of her snake-like tail as she fell to the ground, joining her comrade.

Catherine felt another pulse of arousal, as the siren's will continued to tear into her. A muted song began to play in her mind, but she couldn't understand any of the words. But, by instinct, she knew that she was being drawn to the sea and that her body was all but demanding her legs begin to walk her to the side of the boat, with only her mind keeping her limbs from carrying her off and into the sea. And it was then that she noticed that a few of the crew members were being similarly effected. She could hear the splashes all too well as they leapt overboard. If the gold siren didn't fall soon, she might join them.

Just as Catherine released her arrow the boat rocked slightly, throwing her off just enough that she missed fairly badly. This was starting to really get on her nerves, as she felt like she had been more or less useless all battle. The weaselly sailor was doing much better, whirling around almost gracefully as he went after the last red siren. She didn't quite see what happened next, though, as another powerful wave of arousal crashed over her. She stared at the deck, feeling woozy and lightheaded as her knees knocked slightly.

The archer's panties were absolutely soaked, and what was worse she could hear a strange song in her head. It was quiet, and she couldn't understand the words, but she somehow knew that it was telling her to jump off the side of the boat, into the ocean below. It was a strong suggestion, one that she could barely keep from following through on. Looking up, she saw that the golden siren was the only one standing, and she raised her bow. "We have to get it now, I can't stand this much longer!" she shouted at her comrade, her love juices starting to seep down her leg from her soaked panties as if to prove the point. She consciously activated the Power Attack skill as she notched another arrow, aiming right between the siren's eyes. It was all or nothing, that much she knew, and she would have to make this shot count...
