The guard is still nervous, but obeys immediately. When the tub is back in place, the count pours some acid into it and the guard immediately steps in, without waiting for a permission. Almost immediately he lets out a scream and collapses, the symbiote covering him completely. He continues wriggling as if trying to fight the symbiote, but eventually stops moving. After several heartbeat he shivers slightly and starts convulsing. Several minutes later he gets up and the symbiote uncovers his face, revealing a haunted look. His head turning from the doctor to Natalie to pool, his eyes slowly widen in panic and he leaps from his standing position to the door, causing it to slam open with a mere touch and starts running up the stairs. "Stop him!" Von Svarthein yells, with undertones of panic in his voice.

Without hesitating for even a moment Natalie takes off after the man, her symbiote moving to cover her body almost completely as she sprinted. She had never really been that athletic to begin with, and he was a good bit taller than she was. With the advantage of the symiote's added strength and speed neutralized, there wasn't much of a chance of catching him. Unless....

She quickly worked her magic, and force suddenly struck the man in the back of one of his legs just as it touched the floor, hopefully knocking him off balance before he could reach the stairs. If it worked, she immediately lunged at his back, trying to tackle him to the ground.

The force of Natalie's mind hits the man, but it's like hitting a stonewall, and though he halfway stumbles, he still manages to keep moving fast enough to avoid Natalie. As Natalie gets to the door, he's already halfway to the upstairs.

Seeing him disappear up the stairs, Natalie curses inwardly and speeds up, going as fast as she can and taking the steps two at a time when she reaches them. If she got him into view again, she intended to try again, but this time by yanking one of his feet out from under him.

Her telekinesis isn't strong enough to slow him much, but she nevertheless manages to catch him up a little by the time he reaches the top and bolts towards the next staircase.

'This is absurd. I need to find some other way of slowing him down!' Natalie thinks to herself, and then quickly comes up with an idea. She calls upon her magic, and black ice suddenly covers the floor directly in front of him, slick and slippery and hopefully enough to knock him off his balance. If he falls, she immediately tries to grab him and pull him closer along the ice with telekinesis. When she hits the ice herself, Natalie immediately falls into a power slide, not trusting her own balance and preferring to let her momentum carry her.

His first step on the ice slips, but he keeps his balance and continues up the stairs, Natalie now almost within arms reach of him. His control seems to be improving as his leap brings him to the wall, from which he easily leaps upwards, taking him easily half a dozen steps at a time.

'Dammit.' Natalie curses, but then sees that he's leaping and grins. 'Lets see you keep your balance while you're in the middle of the air!' She times it so that he's in the middle of a leap, and then grabs him with telekinesis and tries to yank him down towards her. If that doesn't work, she tries to start up the stairs just as he had, at the very least hoping to keep up with him. She had to grab him and tackle him, but she would have to catch up to him first.

Natalie's telekinetic abilities don't seem to slow him down and he reaches the end of the staircase well ahead of Natalie and runs towards the nearest window.

'Dammit all, slow down!' Natalie had to stop him before he reached that window! Once more calling upon her magic, she tried to form a wall of force in his path, curved so as to take the brunt of the energy of his run across its surface and elastic so as to slow him gradually rather than trying to stop him all at once. "Get back here dammit! Where do you think you're going!" She shouted at him angrily as she worked her magic.

The man didn't seem to hear Natalie's shouts as he leaped towards the window. Natalie's wall seems to work, but as he hits it it shatters and as it's not fixed to anything, it pulls Natalie with it, sending her to his back just as he hits the window. She manages to grab a hold of him before they land on the tall grass several yards beneath them.

Natalie grabbed a hold and held on to the man's back, and as they plummet to the ground she makes to sure rotate them so that he ends up on the bottom. Her arms and legs swiftly wrap around his body, and she grunts into his ear; "What in the hell is wrong with you! Calm down!"

The guard stops struggling and Natalie can see his head hit a stone when they landed, likely due to her grabbing him. He's still breathing, but before Natalie has time to do anything, she hears a growl and sees a bear coming from the forest. It has numerous tentacles growing from its back and it's charging towards Natalie. Several guards come running from the gates, but when they see her and the bear they hesitate, coming to halt.

Natalie shook the man beneath her once, and then found him more or less completely limp. 'Guess this thing doesn't do much to protect from injuries then.... That's good to know.' She shifted off of him to pick the guard up, but then, of all the things, a bear came roaring out of the woods. Scratch that, a bear with tentacles.

'Timing.' She thought silently as she stood up. A quick glance showed her some guards rushing to her aid, that might be helpful.... Except that they stopped before they got anywhere near her. 'Figures. The first time they have a chance to see me naked, and they get hesitant just because of some freak mutant bear thing.' She readied her magic and sent a blast of flame at the charging monster, hoping to ward it off with a quick powerful attack before it could close the distance.

Natalie's bolt of fire is going slightly wide, but the bear's tentacle gets burned as it reaches for her arm. The symbiote is clearly helping, but it seems that it's going to take some getting used to.

"You're helping... Good. Keep doing it, and let me get used to you." She said, while grimacing and stepping to the side. She had to keep it distracted and away from the downed man. Her attack had managed to keep it centered on her, but any hopes of just driving the beast off as she would any other natural creature were dashed as it started reaching tendrils for her arms. So, she decided to try and see what she could do with the symbiote's help, and rushed forward to slam her fist against the mutant bear's nose before quickly jumping back and (hopefully) out of its reach.

Natalie's hand catches the bear on the snout causing it to growl in pain. The tentacles aim for her legs, but she easily jumps over them, doing a backflip as the symbiote enhances her movements and landing on her feet like a cat. The guards are still not coming closer, instead watching her in awe.

Natalie surprised even herself at her sudden agility, and then reminded herself of her increased strength. A glance behind her revealed the guards still standing about doing nothing. Well, they were gawking at her, and she was somewhat glad that it was awe at the moment, given that she was still completely naked. "I'll let you lot stare at my ass all you want later, if you'll come and give me a hand right now!" She shouted over her shoulder at them, and then turned her attention back to the bear.

She was faster than the beast, but even with the symbiote she doubted that her advantage would continue if things devolved into a full out slug match. She had to keep ahead of it and out of its tentacle's grasp. She rushed it again, this time suddenly darting to her right and then just as quickly to her left, her hand coming across in a quick punch to the side of the monster's head before she darted backwards again, trying to draw it sideways.

Natalie's tactics seem successful, as she strikes the bear and manages to avoid the tentacles. The guards seem to be shaking themselves out of their stupor and are approaching slowly and spreading out.

"Go for its flanks, I'l keep distracting it!" She said, and then made a darting rush at the bear again, this time jumping up and landing on the beasts head with both feet, and then kicking off to backflip away. 'This is pretty cool.'

(Feel free to just chug through the combat until something changes if you'd like. Or we can keep doing these 1 round posts, either or.)
