Kei quickly finds her sword where it had fallen and after a little wandering comes to outskirts of a small town with a few houses outside the walls. There's a clothes line with serfs' clothes hanging from it, seemingly unguarded. No doubt they wouldn't fit her well, but that sort of thing isn't likely to attract attention unless she tries to get inside a noble's manor. The sword is, of course, another matter.

Kei frowned after discovering a small town, she needed to find her way back to the group she was with and fast, being on her own is basically a near death sentence with the name and possible bounty she has following her, after discovering a cloths line of seemingly unguarded clothes she wore them to at least cover her up, she then paced back in the forest for a bit, thinking about what to do next with the possibility of detection driving her almost insane with paranoia.

The midday is approaching and the heat is rising quickly, despite the ever-present cloud cover. Kei could either try to find the camp again - it shouldn't be too hard, unless the soldiers are still hunting them - or slip into the town and hide among the serfs and perhaps find another street gang to join.

Kei went over the choices in her thoughts, right now she was in the worst position, she couldnt risk going into the town because of the badly fitting clothes and the fact shes a fugitive, and the forest could be swarming with soldiers looking for her and anyone shes with, she decided on the latter option as it would be harder for them to spot her and she could avoid them easily, she went back into the forest, keeping low and sword ready for any unwanted guests.

Keis face almost lighted up when she found tracks leading to the camp, she was just about to follow them when she noticed more tracks, these ones larger and left distinct patterns of chainmail boots, she cursed under her breath They`re onto them... she quietely thought, then she looked up at the midday sky Whats to stop me from joining another gang...? Oh yeah... she remembered all the other times she had to leave a group and join another because of a careless mistake made, she had a good long think, then decided on sticking about on her own, her conflicting thoughts from earlier reminded her about the bounty on her head but she figured she might be overly paranoid, all she was over these years was be a scout so the sentence would probably be minor, her muscles were still aching from the encounters with the strange rope demon and tentacles earlier, so she decided to rest somewhere, she looked around for a cave or any kind of shelter to rest in for a bit.

Kei remembers seeing a small cave entrance nearby and she manages to get there just as the rain starts. The entrance forces her to get on her hands and knees to get inside, but inside the cave is quite spacious, if dark.

As Kei finally falls asleep in her rather uncomfortable resting place, her sleep is filled with strange dreams, many of which send pleasant shivers through her and some not so pleasant, of more monsters violating her, but each somehow comes back to something glowing near the back of the cave.

The sun has already set when Kei wakes up, though with the perpetual cloud cover it would be hard to tell the time even were she standing under the open sky, and she definitely feels better, though not well-rested. A little further Kei can see a faintly glowing large crystal. Though it's not glowing anywhere near as brightly as it was in her dreams, Kei can tell that it's the probable source. She can definitely feel something coming from the crystal to her, growing stronger as she gets closer.
