Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Kherem: HP = 0/90, PP = 55, EP = 13/55, Status = Unconscious

Melissa: HP = 0/59, PP = 65, EP = 30/44, Status = Unconscious

Lumi: HP = 52/54, PP = 70, EP = 37/56, Status = Barely Wounded, Weakened, +24 Mind (Inner Strength)

Oormi: HP = 0/80, PP = 72, EP = 32/60, Status = Unconscious

Rolls
First Round!
Initiative:
Lumi 6
Kherem x
Melissa x
Oormi 11

Fiona 20
Isolde x
Medea 5
Presea x

Fiona deactivates Whirling Death, activates Scissor Defense, Spirited Warrior for 10 Dodge/AV.

Oormi and Lumi's vines put Medea into a submission hold.

Oormi attacks with that stuff!
Attacks: Hit, hit, hit.
Damage: 3 + 1 + 36 - 62 = 0 damage per hit. 7 TP damage per hit though.
The orc gets 6 counterattacks against Oormi's 96 dodge.
Attacks: All miss, one of them only by 1 though.

Lumi buffs herself.

Medea squirms uselessly.

Second Round!
Oormi adopts ye olde Defensive Stance, still with 20 points of Defensive Fighting, raising her Dodge up to 106!

Fiona attacks with Whirling Death, Flurry, and Spirited Warrior for +20 attack. Total balance of +16 to her attack.
Attacks: First one hit.
Damage: Enough to down ye kitsune.

Lumi jumps in and casts Chains of Light!
Casting: Success.
Attack: Hit.
Binding: X = 10 means a DC of 60 for her to escape. She can, with Spirit Warrior, potentially make that, but she would only get one chance.

Spending 7 EP on Spirited Warrior, she adds +14 Resistance.
Resistance: She fails.

THE FOXY FIGHTERS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!! Everybody gets 8 experience.

The orc smiled at Oormi's response, apparently quite impressed by it. "Now that's what I like to hear! You've got spirit girl... What's your name? I'm Fiona!" she said as she crossed her blades in front of her, inviting Oormi to make the first move. "Did the other fox train yeh? He was a good fight... Wouldn't mind seeing how 'e handles in the bedroom later~ Tell him I'm interested when the two of you wake up!"

With that the two closed, Oormi charging while the orc held her ground. The kitsune's sword was caught between the crossed blades of her opponent, who deflected it aside by main strength and nearly wrenched it free of her grasp. She released Oormi's sword and spun, both blades coming out wide, the flats going for the blind kitsune's head, and she was forced to lean back to avoid them. Rising back up and recovering with near superhuman speed, Oormi sent another flattened swing at the orc, but she caught it on one of her bracers and suddenly stepped in, pushing Oormi's sword high with her elbow and then striking down with both blades, aiming for her shoulders. Oormi's only choice at that point was to duck and dive aside in a ball, but she once more rose with flawless agility and made to slash at the orc, who quickly turned and deflected the strike with both blades before doing another spin, which Oormi avoided simply by jumping backwards out of the larger woman's reach.

The dizzying display of swordcraft had the crowd cheering wildly, and when the orc reset she wore a broad grin. "Very impressive!" she stated enthusiastically, "But you can be as quick as you want, eventually I'm gonna catch yah!"

Lumi, meanwhile, enacted a spell to increase her magical potency while her and Oormi's conjured vines wrapped the captured mage tightly, preventing her from moving or speaking. The crowd seemed almost as excited by the wizard's predicament as they had while watching Oormi and Fiona's exchange.

As the crowd cheered, likely expecting another awesome display of prowess from both parties, the orc woman charged at Oormi and swung with both blades. Oormi prepared to deflect both swings, but rather than follow through on the high attacks that she had seemingly intended to make, the orc suddenly dropped to her knees and struck out with the pommel of her right-hand blade, catching Oormi off guard and knocking the wind out of her. Unable to stand any more from the orc's powerful blow, Oormi dropped to the ground, unconsciousness rapidly closing in. Despite the fact that she'd been the one to strike the falling kitsune, Fiona dropped her swords and caught Oormi, laying her gently onto the ground rather than allowing her to drop straight down. "Twas a good fight," she said softly, and then climbed back to her feet with swords in hand. "But now it's over."

Raising a hand to the sky to the crowd's thunderous cheering, she was caught completely off guard when chains of white light suddenly closed around her, leading her gave back to Lumi. "Dammit, I thought I already dealt with you!" the orc grunted angrily, and then began to press against the magical chains holding her. Her muscles tensed, and Lumi felt a great deal of power suddenly try to wrench its way from her grasp. The struggle was brief but intense, requiring a moment of concentration, but then Fiona went still, her chest heaving. Lumi could tell that the warrior didn't have another struggle like that in her, and the announcer seemed to think so as well, as he spoke up;

"AND IT LOOKS LIKE THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE FOLKS! WITH THE LAST TWO STANDING MEMBERS OF THE PRANCING PAINFGIVERS DOWN, THE FOXY FIGHTERS TAKE THE WIN! Everybody give a cheer for our winners folks!"

The crowd was happy to oblige, and a moment later a group of alraune nurses came out bearing stretches, and began collecting the wounded. Melissa, Oormi, and Kherem were quickly lifted, along with the unconscious members of the opposing team. Oormi's vines had vanished along with her, but the vines and chains still held the orc and the black-robed mage, who were now slumping in depression in her magical grasp. She was free to do as she liked with either of them.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

As she feels the orc's resistance, her eyes widen in surprise and she almost falls down, but the resistance lasts only for a moment and Lumi quickly regains her footing. As the announcement comes, the skinny kitsune relaxes visibly, looking around the arena for a moment before shooting a hateful glance at the orc. Nevertheless, a moment later the chains and the vines both disappear, and the mental clarity leaves with them as Lumi slumps down for a moment before turning to follow her unconscious party members.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Kherem: HP = 90, PP = 55, EP = 55, Status = Fine

Melissa: HP = 59, PP = 65, EP = 44, Status = Fine

Lumi: HP = 54, PP = 70, EP = 56, Status = Fine

Oormi: HP = 80, PP = 72, EP = 60, Status = Fine

The orc leered back when Lumi shot her a hateful look, but didn't press the issue after being released. Instead, she retrieved her discarded bow and strung it over her back, and then went with the highly ruffled, black-clad magus out of the arena along with their other companions. Lumi did the same, returning to the infirmary with her associates, and an alraune nurse saw to her immediately, approaching her with a smile and saying; "We'll have you all fixed up right away hon!" Lumi was free to refuse treatment, but if she didn't then a couple of quick spells would alleviate both her wooziness and her headache, and also heal the rest of her wounds without leaving a scar.

She was allowed to remain in the infirmary with the rest of her companions, who were likewise healed up by the alraune nurses. She could hear the announcer through the stone walls of the arena announcing the next fight, and the roar of the crowd after it, but she couldn't ascertain any details from it. The kitsune thief wasn't alone shortly as her companions began to awaken one by one, first Melissa followed shortly by Kherem, and finally Oormi returning to the land of the living and conscious. They were left in their cots as the trio of alraune seeing to the wounded busied about, chattering amongst themselves and casting the occasional spell on those that were still recovering from more serious injuries. That they had only taken minor injuries rather than full slashes or stabs had aided in their quick recovery, and when he awoke Kherem even felt that his ribs had been healed.

As the group arrives at the infirmary, Lumi is greeted by one of the alraune nurses working there. "Thank you." Nodding her head, the kitsune takes a seat where she can see the door, accepting the healing and waiting for the others to come around.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

"I'm Oormi!" The foxgirl replied just before their blades clashed.

---

Following their heated exchange, the blind kitsune had adopted a defensive stance. She couldn't keep up with the pace and she had as much of Fiona's attention as she expected she could garner. The fighting had run Oormi ragged by then. Her lungs were sore from the effort of drawing in enough air to keep up with her body's increasing demands. Even with how close the fighters' display had seemed to the crowd, she knew well from training that it would only take one slip for the fight to end. It was all too easy for a swordsman to make a mistake when exhausted.

As the orc warrior rushed her, she prepared herself. She just needed to buy a little more time for Lumi and hope that the other kitsune had a plan. The blind girl's parry went high, expecting the overhead. Her maneuver was the mistake that she had been so worried about making. Faster than she could read her own wave-sight the orc dropped to her knees and hit her with a blow that knocked the wind out of her. She slumped, unable to control her body any longer, and fell directly into the orc's arms. Her part in the battle was over, it was all up to Lumi. Oormi had no idea whether the sneaky mage would be able to finish the fight or not.

But even as the control of her waves abandoned her and left her in pitch blackness again, she smiled at nothing in particular. Fiona... I want a rematch, was the last thought that flitted through her head.

--

The blind kitsune bolted upright on the infirmary bed as soon as her consciousness was restored. Without her waves to see her surroundings, she could only fumble around with her hands to determine that she was on a cot. Once she realized that she probably wasn't in the arena any longer, she moved her hand to her temple and summoned her magical vision.

"Is everyone okay?" She asked once she had determined that Kherem, Lumi, and Melissa were all present. As an afterthought, she added; "Did you win, Lady Lumi?"

Spend 2 EP in order to cast Lesser Strength (Level 2 Body, Buff) which grants her +12 perception.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Kherem realized all too quick that he wasn't going to keep up with the Orc, and then it was all over. A quick double-bonk to his head and the world turned black, and his body limp. He had failed...
-----
... And then he woke up in a familiar place. Even if healed fully, he wouldn't try to sit up, remaining where he was, only moving his head to look around himself. A weak smile forming as he took note of his allies, that they weren't badly off, and let out a quiet sigh of relief. If the Alraune nurse was by his side or came to check on him, he'd offer a polite smile. "Thanks for patching me up, again.", second time there and it already felt like the beginning of a bad habit. But for now, he'd just like to remain as he was, a small frown showing, as he tried to figure out what had gone wrong... What exactly that had been his failings this round. Unless spoken to he'd remain quiet, unless ushered out by the nurses or beckoned by his friends, he'd remain where he was.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

All too eager to meet her foe head-on, Melissa nonetheless surprised the orc woman with her ruse. Unfortunately for Melissa, the opposing warrior proved to have exceptional reflexes, or at the least had already been in a mindset focusing on striking back moreso than avoiding any blows. The human took the flat of both blades as she tried to make good on her grab, fire and lightning doing the part of the job the impact hadn’t. with a fairly quiet squeal of pain – for someone being burned and electrocuted alive, at any rate – Melissa was knocked to the ground, and very much out of the fight. She was still conscious, but between pain and the burns – both external and from lightning – there was nothing the rougish human could do but groan on the ground, and admire the manoeuvre that put her there in the first place. These combatants were inhuman, to a degree well above her own inhumanity – not an unexpected turnout, given the nature of the event. There were ways to combat against foes more powerful than oneself, but near to none of them involved standing opposite them in an open field. She clung onto consciousness long enough to see Kherem drop, then simply sighed and allowed her eyes to close.

Melissa, identical to her previous fight, woke with a start, flinching against a non-existent opponent. Finding only Lumi up, her first question was the opposite to last time’s. “Did we lose?” the mage’s answer prompted a brief look of surprise, followed by a fistpump. “Yesss!” the human hissed between her teeth, apparently happy despite being of no significance in the combat herself. “Nicely pulled from the fire, Lumi.” She continued, clapping the caster on the back. “Still think we should have slipped ‘em something, though. Don’t think I’d like to risk that in the final.” Apparently well recovered enough from the alraune, Melissa hopped from the crib she had been left healing in, stretching as she so often did. “How long do you think there is before the next match? Someone has to stay here at least until these two wake up, but you've got to agree, after that round at least one of us should go find a present to give our soon-to-be foes.”

"We won. Barely." the kitsune answers Melissa quietly. Considering the human's words for a moment, Lumi sighs and extends a hand. "I suppose you're right. Give me the potion and I'll find a way to do it."

Melissa barely has time to give Lumi the potion if she would do it, however, as Oormi already comes about. Directing her words to Oormi and retracting her hand, the white kitsune answers quickly. "I won. Barely."

The warrior shrugged mildly as Lumi reached for a potion she didn't possess. "I didn't say I actually ha... welcome back, kid." she said, noticing Oormi quite frantically return to the waking world.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

The blind foxgirl wouldn't regain consciousness and awareness in time to hear any of Melissa and Lumi's conversation or see any transaction. Even if she had, she wasn't suspicious enough of either to immediately assume that the two would have been up to something less than strictly honorable. "Well done, Lady Lumi," the blind foxgirl offered sincerely. "I'm sorry that I couldn't buy you more time, she got the better of me."

And how, Oormi mused as she leaned back from her upright position and supported her new posture with both arms. The orc had possessed such an impressive combination of speed, defense, and power. Moreover, Fiona had been responsible for knocking out every single member of the Foxy Fighters. She was easily as skilled as the kitsune's own mother, if not better. But it all only made the aspiring swordsman want to challenge the orcish warrior again and experience all that she could learn from clashing blades with her. Fiona... She might not have been able to remember the orc's features, given the nature of her ability to see, but she could remember the green of her soul reflected through the waves, her fighting style, and the way she spoke, those were distinctive enough.

Considering the way that Fiona had addressed her made her remember what the orc had asked her to do and, in turn, shook Oormi out of her daydreaming. "Oh, Master Kherem," she suddenly said aloud, addressing the otherwise silent dual wielder. "Fiona... the orc," she clarified, "asked me to tell you something. Uh... hm..." The kitsune trailed off, realizing that she had spoken without thinking of the private nature of the message. The short foxgirl quickly decided that, even though she had divulged that there was a message, the contents at least should be delivered in secret. She stood and walked over to Kherem's cot before standing on her tiptoes in an attempt to whisper the message into the much taller kitsune's ear.

"She, um, asked me to ask you... Or, well, her words were that she wouldn't mind seeing how you handled in the bedroom and she wanted me to tell you she was interested." She whispered, trying to deliver the message with an entirely straight face. It was a bit odd, sure, but Fiona had asked and it probably would have been rude not to at least pass it on. It wasn't like the faeries hadn't delivered lewder messages to each other in full view and hearing of others.

I deleted that post as per request. REAL LARGELY-LIMITED POWER.

As Oormi starts talking with Kherem, Lumi pays little attention to what she's saying, instead looking the pair with a frown. Turning back to face Melissa, Lumi starts speaking quickly: "Melissa, do you ken the flash slang? I don't think we have too long before the next match. We'll need to find the contents real quick and wave some flags."

The white kitsune carefully watches Melissa's expression as she stops talking.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Melissa’s expression was far from guarded. That did not make it easy to read, however, if only because of the complexity of the emotions behind it. There was a degree of recognization, clearly, but not enough that the kitsune could really be sure if she understood. “Incredible, a hag that sinks in water…” The human said, testingly. Unfortunately the phrase only had vague meanings to the kitsune, who might at least be able to understand the hag (‘magic user’), but essentially nothing else of the phrase. Apparently seeing what she wanted, or deciding to just go for it, the roguish woman continued. “I haven’t quipped flash-like since I was as high as an aristocrat’s knee, and the ken’s fermented. Buuut… if you’re asking me out sightseeing, I’ll have you know the lunch Kherem got us is the only one I had – though, if waving flags means what I think it means, that probably wouldn’t have spoiled the occasion anyway.” …The terms were mostly foreign, at best, with just enough proper words sticking out that the kitsune thief could tell it was supposed to be Theif’s cant. And then there was ‘quipping flash-like’. That term would have fallen into disuse at least a century before the kitsune’s birth, now essentially unused, something she barely remembered from some esoteric moment shared with a wistful pilferer.

The human had moved toward the exit of the tent as she spoke, addressing the other two as she finished. “Seems Lumi and I are closer relatives than we knew. I want to catch up with her awhile, we’ll be back before the fight.” With that, the human gestured to the tent’s exit, waiting for Lumi to pass.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Kherem blinked a bit as Oormi spoke his name, and slowly rose up to sit on the edge of the bed. His ears twitched slightly as the orc was mentioned, frowning slightly. As Oormi trailed off, followed by approaching him, he got the picture, turning his head slightly to the side, making things easy for her to divulge whatever it was she had to say without much problems.

The message she had for him made him blink again, and let out a quiet grumble. He'd then close his eyes, as if mulling the Orcs message over, but shook his head in the end. "Thank you for relaying this message, Oormi. I can't say I'm interested, however...", his words trailed off a bit, but then he looked around himself for his equipment, and then he added as an afterthought. "No, definitely not for such things. I am looking for... other things, in my partners.", he murmured slightly as he slowly got up and began to redress himself, save for his tattered robe, which he held before himself while grimacing.

He briefly looked around himself, and then settled his gaze on Oormi. "I think I could use some armor... I'll be heading to the shop. Care to join me?", he smiled slightly, and wrapped the tattered shreds up under his arm, wearing nothing but his weapons and pants. A bit thoughtlessly, he extended his free hand to Oormi, as if offering to hold hands on the trip. Wether it was accepted or not, Kherem didn't react much one way or another.

If Oormi didn't join him, he'd simply say "I'll be around the shop until it is time for the next fight.", but if joined, he'd talk along the way. "I'm glad we won the match in the end. I just feel... Like I could've done more, done better.", he moved a free hand to his chest, making sure not to drop his tattered robe. "The little woman and the Orc put a dent in me far sooner than I would've liked...", there was some regret in his words, but no shame or accusations, he would strive to do better, that much Oormi might be able to pick up. Although he quickly added, while looking to Oormi with some concern, "I hope you and Lumi didn't suffer any grievous wounds after I went down?". Once he were at the shop, he'd browse the wares for armor in particular, but general goods was also worth considering, he was running a tad low on potions.

Lumi raises an eyebrow as Melissa starts to talk an ancient version of the flash slang. "I wouldn't have thought you were an old hand." the kitsune comments as Melissa finishes, heading out ahead of her and stopping to wait outside before starting to move again.

"Sightseeing is what I had in mind, though I hope you're not planning anything boring."

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Being so focused on delivering Fiona's message to Kherem in relative secret, Oormi didn't even really notice that the other two group members were talking. When Melissa announced that the two were leaving, Oormi was none the wiser as to why. "Really? That's amazing! Have fun and be safe," she offered as parting words. The blind foxgirl had taken them at face value, believing that they were cousins or the like who wanted to catch up.

At Kherem's reply, she remained silent, though she couldn't help but remember what Melissa had said. Still, it wasn't something to hold against the kitsune, even if the concept of restricting oneself to their own race when seeking a partner did seem a bit odd after growing up around faeries and her own parents. She had delivered the message as requested, sort of, and so she let the matter fade into silence.

Oormi did, however, choose to accompany him to the shop. "Happily," she answered. There wasn't much else for her to do beyond daydream about a rematch with Fiona since Melissa and Lumi had departed. The offer to hold hands struck her as slightly odd, but she accepted and reached out to grab the much larger, color-splotched hand with her own. The short foxgirl allowed him to lead the way.

She initially listened in silence as he voiced his regret, finally replying once he had asked about Lumi and her. "Fiona defeated me as well, but I suffered no serious injuries. There's no shame in being beaten by a warrior like her," she offered, even though shame didn't seem to be quite what her fellow swordsman was feeling. "Talents like hers are rare even among the faeries, and she had an equally skilled team." Realizing that she had trailed off into praising Fiona, she quickly reversed directions. "You're a fine swordsman, Master Kherem. That you can get past it and search for ways to improve is proof of that."

When they arrived at the shop, Oormi would let go of Kherem's hand and largely stay out of other patron's and his way, while remaining near him. The nature of her wave-sight meant that she couldn't read anything that wasn't engraved, rendering most bottles, texts, and signs largely useless to her. Beyond that, she wasn't really interested in buying anything.

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

“Boring I doubt. We should probably drop the ‘slang’, as you call it, there probably won’t be anyone who’ll take much notice, and I hardly remember half of what I knew - even before I fell out of date.” The human made a brisk pace to seemingly a specific destination, though there was also the chance she was simply walking on instinct. She would consent to using the Thieves’ cant if pressed, one way or another expressing her opinion, keeping her voice down in either case.

“I’ve been here about a week and I’ve seen a few things worth doing. I don’t have the tools for a proper job, and I’m flat bloody broke… the stuff about being able to earn a fortune trading your soul for real money must only be for those who don’t need to buy corruption-removing and morning-after potions.” That got a grimace from the human.
“Still, places in mind for a potion of the less-healing kind, there’s the Asp’s Den; heavily patronised, my gut says a little sleight of hand is the best we could hope for.Ooor there’s a couple of other stores I’ve seen inside once or twice, look a bit simpler to make a decent transaction, but they keep their wares more secure and, well, this is the city of demons. Got no idea what any of the owners could do… besides make potions that could kill me in thirty-one different excruciating flavours. If something less direct is more your style, there’s a pair of demons with blood rich enough to make it worth our time, but not so rich that they bother too much with keeping their door closed tight. I know the houses well enough to get to the juicy parts; there’s oddly not all that much valuable in them, but I saw a few handfuls denarii in easily pawnables around the place. …What is this, early afternoon? Late? Still near Midday? At least one of them should be prowling for tourists, at any rate. Get their goods, get the potion, get the other team, get the prize-money?” She paused for a moment of thought. “…Of course, we could just go the direct route and jump the competition, if I actually knew where they were. In the right situation, we might just deal some damage, semi-finalists or no.”

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Kherem: HP = 90, PP = 55, EP = 55, Status = Fine

Melissa: HP = 59, PP = 65, EP = 44, Status = Fine

Lumi: HP = 54, PP = 70, EP = 56, Status = Fine

Oormi: HP = 80, PP = 72, EP = 58/60, Status = Fine, +12 Perception (Lesser Strength)

The alraune nurses were indeed about, and when Kherem stopped one of them to offer his thanks, she smiled and winked at him. "No problem hon! You wanna pay me back, all you've gotta do is come and find me after the games are done for the day~" she said, before sauntering off with a noticeable sway in her wide hips.

Stepping out of the infirmary, Melissa and Lumi would find themselves in the same area as before, with the shop in the center and a number of cubicles scattered about with people training or waiting in them. Most of them were now empty, as they were on to the days semifinalists. All that was left between them and their next match was the battle between the last two groups and the losers melee, which would determine which team took third place. They wouldn't have much time if they wanted to leave the arena, but many of the things that they wanted to acquire could easily be found in the arena shop anyway. Their previous opponents were to be seen in the same cubicle as before, sulking and grumbling to one another, though they didn't scowl at them when the two warriors were spotted and pointed out by Fiona.

When Kherem and Oormi came out a few moments later, they would find largely the same thing as the other two members of the Foxy Fighters, though there might be minor changes depending on the actions of Lumi and Melissa. Seeing Kherem's tattered robes, one of the guards approached him and said; "You can get those sewn up for a denarius. You've got a bit of time before the next round."

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Lumi simply nods as Melissa asks her to stop with the cant, following the human as Melissa takes the lead. "I think they're in the match that just started. We probably don't have much time to wander around the city."

Spotting the orc and her companions, Lumi gives them no more than a glance, though her ears are twitching again. "Wasn't the shop here selling some poisons? Their security didn't look too tight."

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

Kherem loosely held Oormi's hand as the two walked towards the shop, as if to make it clear it was up to her to decide when to let go. Kherem grimaced slightly as Oormi mentioned there was no need to feel shame, "I would have prefered to face her under more ideal conditions. A good warrior, by all means, but, I was in no condition to face her by the time approached her.", he let out a quiet sigh of regret, as if wishing he had fought her in more ideal condition, with less broken ribs. All the same, he listened as Oormi continued to speak highly of the Orc, only to twitch his ears as the fellow Kitsune switched subject to him instead, and smiled sheepishly. "Well, there is always more to learn, always more ways to improve oneself, isn't there? I must admit I am learning more fighting with you, Lumi and Melissa than I have done in a long time. It feels great.", his words sincere, and just by thinking about what he had been through in such a short amount of time with three chance-met new friends, put the tall swordsman in a fairly chipper mood, his moodswing might be easily noticed by Oormi as he picked up his pace slightly, but the reasons behind it might not be as clear to her.

By the time the two stood by the shop, he would let go on his own accord, unless Oormi for whatever reason decided to keep holding onto his hand. As he was approached by a guard and spoken to, he nodded slightly. "Oh? Hum... I was thinking of ridding myself of it, truth be told.", he would raise his other hand to scratch a little under his chin as he mulled things over, particularly about the selection of available goods. After a few minutes, he would finally speak up. "I'd like to purchase a Greater Healing Potion, Infertility Potion, a suit of chainmail my size if you happen to have such, and maybe a loose shirt or light robe to wear under it, and... hrm...", he scratched under his chin again, then looked to Oormi. "... Anything you're loo-... would like to buy, Oormi? For the fight, that is.", Kherem would also either have his Battle Robe repaired, or just sold off if they'd be willing to buy it as is. And unless the javelin he threw in the last fight, he'd try to buy a single one to restock himself.

After the purchases however, he'd ask the shopkeep a bit out of the blue. "By the way, you wouldn't happen to know if there is a bookstore around here? Or... hrm, is there a guild or other organization that deals with mercenary work, monster hunting or other bounties and the like?"

Infertility Potion, 20d
Greater Healing Potion, 15d
Chainmail, 25d
Clothes, 2d
Possibly some other expenditures for repairing Battle Robe and/or restocking Javelins(Undershirt/Robe if needed to buy separately)

Re: This is a Great Plan (Smokefish, Host, Hentaispider, and Hafnium)

The foxgirl gave a cheery "mhm" in agreement to Kherem's assertion that there was always more to learn. She allowed his previous statement to pass without any real response one way or the other. The shorter kitsune could certainly see where he was coming from at least, but it didn't really match with her own philosophy. In the meantime, she suppressed the urge to awkwardly wave at Fiona and her team, assuming they hadn't left following something Melissa or Lumi might have done.

Oormi let go of Kherem's hand and merely remained near him when they arrived at the shop, choosing to allow him to make his purchases without any distraction from her. The relatively small foxgirl gave no comment regarding his purchases either, nor would she share the information. There was nothing wrong with being safe, after all, especially as a kitsune who couldn't bestow upon his partner the unnatural gestation periods of a faerie or alraune. Safety and contraception were two things that hadn't been a foreign concept for her, even with having lived among the faeries. The conversation with her parents had been an awkward, at best, but informative.

She shook her head no when he inquired as to whether she was interested in buying anything or not. "I am prepared, but thank you for asking." But if the shopkeep answered Kherem's inquiries, Oormi would pipe in with her own questions. "Would you happen to know of a less martially focused tailor, a flower shop, and a blacksmith who can handle special commissions?"

Might end up visiting the same tailoring shop twice in her lifetime without being aware of it. >.>
