All of a sudden the secret door slides open, revealing a narrow tunnel that ends abruptly about a dozen paces in.

Ashela blinked, taking a quick step back as the door slid open, and would wait a little while, incase it was timed to close. If not, she'd cautiously poke the floor behind the new entryway with her axe, to check for pressure plates. If none were found, she'd finally step inside, and take a closer look and feel if there was something else in there, than just a dead end.

There's a small lever near the door, apparently for operating it from inside. As Ashela goes further into the tunnel, she spots a similar lever near the tunnel's end.The tunnel is a little too low for her to stand straight, but just right for the two lamias, who stay behind in case Ashela decides to come back.

Ashela tilts her head, and decides to try out the lever at the back of the small passage, whats the worst that could happen? She'd also motion for Selash and Issah to follow her.

As the lever opens the door, Ashela finds herself in the other side of the tentacle pit she just retreated from. The tunnel seems to continue straight until disappearing as it slopes even more downwards.

Ashela blinks as she takes notce of the tentacle pit from what might very well have been the other tunnel. For a brief moment, she contemplates how the architecture of the place works, but merely shrugs, and speaks up to Selash and Issah, "Looks like this was the safe route girls, lets go this way.". After the Lamias are through the side passage, Ashela tries to close the door on the other tunnels side, just so nothing could find it too easily and follow after them. After this, she continues down the tunnel with the tentacle pit, warily looking around for other traps or hidden doorways.

The tunnel leads to a large chamber with unmoving skeletons standing in their coffins all along the sides. The chamber is perhaps 40 feet wide and 60 feet long, with the ceiling high above, suggesting that they've come farther than might appear. In the other end of the chamber is a large statue of a lamia with wings and on each side of the statue is a gate covered by steel portcullis.

Ashela stopped to look over one of the skeletons, raising an eyebrow as she gazed over the bony figure. Taking in it's forms and shapes, in particular if it had legs or a tail for lower body, and how it remained standing up. Ashela briefly looked down the corridor to stare upon the large winged lamia statue, pointing to it as she looked back to Issah and Salesh. "You two know what the deal with that statue is? Is this some kind of old tomb or crypt, or even temple, of your kind or something? Just wondering.", the girl held a steadfast grip of her axe, her first thought had been to smash the skeletons up, to prevent the all too cliche trap of 'do something wrong, skeletons reanimate and attack you'. Theeen again maybe she should try to be a little more considerate of what may very well be an old lamia temple or the like. Upsetting deities weren't high on her list, after all.

Issah hesitates, staring at the statue. "That looks like an old demon goddess I remember hearing about. I don't like this place."

Ashela nodded slightly at Issah's words, looking a little worried over the Lamias hesitation. "Demon goddess?", Ashela's tone was a curious one, mulling the words over a bit. "Perhaps we should find some other ruins to delve into then. I'd rather not get us into too much trouble, and I won't continue here if you two don't want to.", Ashela sighed softly, a little disappointed that the dungeon delving were already drawing to a close here, but she did consider the well being of her friends above her own curiosity.

Salesh shrugs. "It's just a statue." The busty lamia slithers forward, looking at one of the portcullis and trying to lift it, but failing. "I think we can get this up if we all try at once."

Ashela shrugs a bit aswell, and follows after Salesh, waving Issah along. "Whatever happens, we're in it together, I know I wouldn't leave you two behind if it could be helped... And chances are, I'd prefer to go down with you even then. If things go south, that is.", the girl wasn't much one for inspiring pep-talk, she knew that much, but she prefered to stick together. She'd readily enough be willing to help Salesh lift the portculis, and hoped Issah would help aswell.

Issah comes with Ashela, and together the three of them manage to pull the heavy grille up for long enough for them to pass, though the effort makes Ashela's arms and back burn with the ache born of heavy work-out. On the other side a short tunnel leads to a strange staircase of sorts, made of a single, zig-zagging ramp going upwards.

Ashela was relieved once she and her friends passed the portculis, and decided to take a small break to let them regain themselves from the exertion... Or just herself. During that, she'd inspect the path before them warily, and then begin to slowly head up the strange, jagged ramp leading upwards, making sure to keep Issah and Salesh close behind her, while keeping her eyes on wherever she would step next.

The ramp leads upwards for a while, until daylight can be seen through the top. As Ashela exits the staircase, she finds herself in a small garden with an ancient oak in the very center and with strange smells filling the air. Someone is playing a flute nearby.

Ashela squinted a little as she soon met with daylight, she was a little surprised to end up in a garden. She would look around herself, but soon the sound of a flute being played caught her attention. Outside the dungeon now, she allowed herself to relax a little... Although the strange smells did catch her attention as much as the music did, and she tried to make out the scents as she slowly walked into the garden, a little wary as she searched for the source of the music... and hopefully she could make out the source and nature of the odd smells before getting into a potentially sticky situation.

One, very sweet smell particularly catches Ashela's attention and she starts feeling warm in a way that has nothing to do with the heat of the air. As she steps into the garden, Issah and Salesh follow her. The music seems to be coming from above, probably from the branches of the huge oak.

Ashela shudders as she feels some side effects from the smell, and lightly holds her nose, hoping to prevent more of the smell to get to her. Noting how the music was coming from above, she looked that way, and also gauged the oak to see if she could climb it. Wether finding someone or not, she'd soon call out with a curious tone. "Hello? Anyone there?"

Issah and Salesh notice the smell and its effects too, and start looking at the ground, trying to find the source.

Ashela can see no-one up the tree, but the music is definitely coming from there somewhere. At her question the unseen player stops. After a moment of pause, the flute plays f-major scale upwards.

Ashela tilted her head a little as the music stopped, and raised a brow as it started again. It was a fairly enjoyable tune, she figured. She hadn't listened to much flute music before, but this was sorta nice. She'd let the music play for a bit, even trying to hum along with it, albeit she'd more likely than anything fail fairly miserably, despite her attempts. She had never been much into music beyond what video games offered her, but still she tried. If the music merely went on and on, or slowed down or even stopped after a bit, she'd speak again. "That is a very nice tune, but who is playing it?", Ashela's voice was curious, but did try to sound polite and friendly, in case the one playing the flute was the shy sort.
