Issah and Salesh move to lift the portcullis again, and Neomarica's vines make it slide up easily as the alraune slips past the others, looking around in the hall. The other portcullis slides up just as easily, revealing a dark tunnel leading downwards.

Ashela was a little bit relieved to have a 4th member for her party, lifting the portculis was considerably easier this time around, and the other one proved to be less challenging aswell. The girl would take point, slowly heading down the dark tunnel with her allies in tow, warily looking around herself, each step taken carefully, hoping to not lead her friends into any sort of trap.

The air in the tunnel starts once again growing hotter, and faint but definite smell of sulfur permeates the air, growing stronger the further Ashela walks in the tunnel. Eventually Ashela notices a faint red glow coming from ahead. Neomarica starts looking uncomfortable with the tunnel, but doesn't voice a complaint.

Ashela stopped the moment she felt sulphur in the air. That was cliche. Sulphur always meant demons in video games, why else would it be there for no apparent reason? She turned around, to look upon her party with determined eyes. "Time to go back. We are not going down there, not today.", she then tried to usher her friends back up the tunnel, definitely looking and acting as if she had a very bad feeling about this place, enough to make even her adventurous spirits relent.

Neomarica looks relieved as she heads back towards the open sky, but Issah and Salesh look surprised, though neither of them objects until they're back in the hall. "So what was that about?" Issah asks once the portcullis falls back down, staring at Ashela.

Once outside the portculis, and as the girl was being questioned by her Lamia companions, she sighed softly. "I smelled sulphur. That usually means demons as far as I'm aware, ontop of your comments regarding the look of this statue.", Ashela turned a bit, motioning up to the great winged statue in the hall. "I may have an unquenchable taste for adventure, but I ain't reckless. Especially not when I have friends to consider the well-being of.", Ashela looked to Issah and Salesh, a little disappointed with herself more then anything, but also apologetic. "I'm sorry for being a coward, turning tail like that at the slightest hint of danger... I must look weak for a would-be-leader, huh?", Ashela sighed a little, but all the same, started heading out of the underground temple, out to Bubbles to start with, but from there, who knows.

"Hey, demons can be pretty powerful. It's not a bad idea, trying to avoid them." Salesh comments, following the others out.

Bubbles is where she was the last time, making small waves on her surface and looking like an ordinary pool.

Ashela smiled a little, a little relieved that she hadn't lost too much credit in the eyes of her companions. She'd wave to bubbles once leaving the old underground temple, and once halfway past the pool, she'd stop to turn around, facing her companions. "Well, Issah, Salesh? Do you two know of some other ruin nearby, or large cave or the like? Or heck, some above-ground area to explore could be nice too I suppose.", she paused, then looked to Neomarica. "Or perhaps you know something about the surrounding areas? Somewhere we could visit or investigate?", the raven-haired girl felt a little energic to get adventuring, after having had to turn tail down in the temple. She figured she was way, waaay too low level for such a place... She craved for loot and levels!

Issah shakes her head. "Nothing that's close. There are some smaller caves within the pits, that's all. There's an abandoned keep a day's trip away and a few catacombs made for some ancient rulers."

"There's a human village not very far from here, and some harpies live in the jungle, I think. I don't really leave my garden often."

Ashela nodded slowly as her companions shared what they knew. "An abandoned keep? Hmm... That might be fun looking into~", the girl grinned a little, beaming up a little at the mention of a human village. "Oh? There is? Perhaps we should visit the humans aswell, perhaps trade for some supplies...", and then Ashela blinked a little, groaning quietly. "Then again, trade with what? We haven't found anything of value except each other so far, have we?", the raven-haired girl began heading towards the exit of the cave while thinking things over. Once outside, she'd speak again. "Well, abandoned keep first, and hope we find something worth trading with? How does that sound to you three, hmm?"

"Sounds better than caves. I don't think I like being underground." the alraune answers, fingering her flute nervously. "I don't think we have anything better to do, so why not."

It looks like Issah is going to add something, but just then a tentacle bear appears from behind a corner, starting to walk towards them. This one is even larger than the one Ashela had an encounter with before, and its back is covered in thick vines that wave around menacingly.

Ashela stopped dead in her tracks as she saw the bear, and gripped her axe steadily even as she took a small step back, eyes widening at the terrifying sight before her. "Goddamnit game!", she cried out in dismay, fear and frustration. "FUCK YOU BEAR, FUCK YOU, AND THE GODDAMN SPAWN POINT YOU CAME FROM TOO!", she was quickly getting hysterical, and with little thought behind it, she charged forward, swinging her axe down towards the bear, deep down hoping dearly her friends would be there for her this time. Well, Issah had been there the first time, but they were four now, surely that should be enough? Right?

As Ashela charges towards the bear with her axe, Issah shoots an arrow, missing it badly and Salesh stabs the bear, causing a bleeding wound. Neomarica starts playing a strange tune with her flute, and Ashela finds herself more focused, as if the music were washing away all the distractions. The bear retaliates quickly, it's tentacles grabbing Issah and Salesh before they can react.

Ashela sputtered and spat, cursing under her breath as she once more brought her axe down upon the bear. Her focus was on slaying this beast to start with. If her allies were starting to get into too much trouble, she would have to help them out, but for now, she was all about the DPS, hacking and chopping away at the hated foe, despite feeling dread in the face of it. She didn't want to experience what happened last time, especially not to this monstrous specimen.

Ashela's ace cleaves a bleeding wound to the bear's shoulder as Issah tries to wrap around the bear, unsuccessfully and Neomarica continues playing. Salesh manages to pierce several tentacles with her axe, but more tentacles wrap around her and Issah, starting to squeeze their upper bodies. Ashela's next swing misses, only for her counter slash to cut several tentacles trying to catch her. Issah drops her bow and wrestles with the tentacles, managing to free herself before they grap her again while Salesh struggles with her spear. For a moment it seems that the tentacles might overwhelm the two lamias, but they tear themselves free with the help of Ashela's axe. Then they return, brutalizing Issah. Neomarica drops her flute, charging to battle as Ashela deals another bleeding wound to the bear. As Ashela and Salesh struggle with the seemingly endless vines, Neomarica leaps to the air, landing a kick on the bear's head. Salesh faints from a tentacle whacking her head while another catches a hold of Neomarica. The bear seems surprised as Ashela's axe bites into its flesh again, the tentacles hovering indecisively for a moment, allowing her to land another blow. The bear seems to have had enough, as it turns to run away, letting Ashela and her friends go.

Ashela would have none of it! After beating the bear down, she would not let it escape so easily! She charged after it, trying to brutally maul its flank with her axe, she had no orders to give to Neomarica, letting the plantgirl herself decide what she would do. Ashela only had one thing on her mind; all-consuming hatred towards the beast that had attacked them! She would bring it down, and rid the world from its wicked existance!

Ashela's axe bites deep into the bear's rear leg, opening a flood of blood. The bear stops in its tracks, apparently going to shock for a moment before trying to limp forward again, panting heavily.

There would be no escape for the bear, as Ashela continued hacking and chopping away at it with her axe, assaulting it from every side she could. And once it dropped, dead or otherwise, she'd finish it by bringing her axe down its head with all her might. She wanted it dead and gone, and would make sure of it!

Soon the bear falls over, and once Ashela brings her axe on its skull, the monster stops breathing.

Ashela is covered in blood while Neomarica has revived the two lamias, who are both looking at Ashela, appearing slightly bruised, but no worse for the wear.

Ashela was breathing heavily, much like her heart was beating. Slowly and without a word, she began to walk away from the bear and towards her friends. Bloodied and full of adrenaline, she would help Neomarica get the Lamias awake, and even support and bring them to her new destination: Bubbles. She wanted a long, relaxing bath and to clean herself off from the gore and blood, in silence if her companions would allow it. She was a little shaken from the encounter, which just might be noticed by her friends. Just a relaxing bath to clean up and then be on her way again. Was that so much to ask for?
