"Why are you crying?" Revalli asked testingly, ignoring the ghost's command as she got a little closer. Had it used up some of its power in its anger during their last encounter? Curious.

The ghost looked up to her a moment of anger flash on her face before the spirit held her head. Rocking back and forth on her seat the ghost said "No No No No." Eventually it stopped and the girl let her head go. The air around the girl seemed to calm somewhat and she looked more relaxed. "Y-You should go... I get so angry now.... its like its eating me from the inside out." Still if Revalli would persist in her presence the ghost would answer her question. "Im so alone... my parents left me with that awful man. He hurt me and they didn't even know." Once more Revalli felt the energy shift, the air grew colder and the spirits eyes went flat. "They left me alone... with that man..... Why did they leave me alone.. So alone....."

Frost began to creep along the floor as the cool room suddenly got cooler. Revalli's breath fogged in front of her as a deep chill began to work its way out from the girl. It looked like she was slipping into one of her fits and there was little doubt that further questions would bring it on sooner. Still Revalli had no clue to who she was talking about and pressed still. It was then she felt the shift as the air filled with menace. "I will kill him.. he will feel my suffering as I have...." Getting up the girl walked past Revalli heading for the wall. "Do not stop me mage I will kill Jansen he deserves suffering." Stopping at the obstruction she seemed to hesitate. "Go... please go... I c-can't f-fight it."

"Jansen?" Revalli said under her breath, not trying to stop the ghost from floating off. She wracked her brain for several minutes, and then realized that the man who had given her the key was named Jensen. Her expression soured instantly, connections forming in her mind, but then she said; "I must find out what he did before I go."

As Revalli made connections in her mind the ghost slide thru the wall denying her anymore questions. She could feel the malice pouring off the creature. It seemed it was intent on exacting its revenge on her murderer. Though Jansen was in town.. with the villagers....

'Shit... Can she even do that?' Revalli thought as the ghost slipped away, unsure if it could go far from the place that it haunted but sure that if it got into town... It wouldn't be good. Taking a run for it, Revalli hurried out of the mill and tried to run back to town, calling on a minor strength spell to let herself move faster and a minor endurance boon to let her make the run without needing to stop to rest.

Lesser strength from Body for speed and inner strength from Nature for extra Body, mostly just fluff but feel free to dock the 4 EP anyway and figure out who gets to town first by Speed if you feel like it.

Using enhanced speed and endurance Revealli easily out paced the ghost who seemed in no rush. Though as she passed the specter she could see her form twisting as rage consumed it. No doubt if the ghost got its revenge any chance of the girls spirit finding peace would end, becoming a blight to the living till she was destroyed utterly. Reaching the town well in advance of the near psychotic ghost she could see the stranger from before speaking with a couple peasants who looked just as insulted as she had been. In other places the villagers had gotten back to work and there was no sign of Jansen.

Running up to the group speaking to the stranger, Revalli interrupted their conversation without hesitance, demanding to know where Jansen had gotten to. If they didn't know, she would seek out another to ask, explaining in a simple manner to the stranger and anyone else who asked by simply saying; "I need to find him to protect him from a ghost that's coming to kill him." If, after the third person didn't point her in the right direction, Revalli would use magic to try and locate the man.

At first no one seemed to believe her except for the stranger who got a stern look to her face. "Which way is she coming?" As for the other they said that Jansen is usually in the bar at this time drinking his woes.

"Coming from the mill," Revalli replied to the strange woman's question, and once directed towards the bar the elf would hurry there intent on making sure that the man didn't end up dead. Whatever his crimes, it would create something far worse than a vengeful ghost if the spirit killed him.

With that the strange woman moved off only stopping for a moment to string her bow. It seemed she was set to delay the spirit. Doing what she would with that info Revalli rushed to the bar.

Busting in she drew a few looks but as most realized who she was they turned away. One man however seemed to wince as he caught her gaze. It was Jansen, perhaps he hoped she didn't spot him as he continued to drink paying little heed to her. Looking at the bar Revalli noticed that despite the number of people in the building none of them got close to Jansen if they could help it.

Bursting into the bar, Revalli looked around until she spotted Jansen, who was doing his best to ignore her. Undaunted and knowing that the stranger was trying to keep the ghost at bay, Revalli walked up to him and grabbed him by the shoulder. "Come on bonehead, you're coming with me! Unless you'd rather let that ghost slaughter you like an animal!"

At this he paled considerably "G-Ghost!" Almost like lighting the man was off his stool trying to break Revalli's grip. Meanwhile there where a couple screams from outside.

'Gods dammit,' Revalli grunted internally, and with a sigh she conjured a ball of vines to hold him in place while she hurried for the door, intent on seeing what was happening outside.

Jensen is just an npc he fails

Jensen stood little chance against Revalli's magic and he was soon wrapped in a tight embrace. With that dealt with she had a moment to check out side. Fierce winds where whipping threw town and several villagers ran screaming. With her vision cut off by several buildings Revalli couldn't see exactly what was going on but she could feel the expenditure of magic and something else. It seemed the ghost and the stranger had started their engagement.

"I've got to get you going out of here and go help her!" Revalli said with a firm scowl, controlling her vines and having them start dragging the man out. She quickly summoned up another beast, the spirit of a great lion, and caused the vine spirit to ring the struggling man onto its back, binding him there without disrupting her spirit's ability to run. "Go!" she said, instructing it mentally to carry the man away before empowering herself to fight further. Unsure of what else to do, she tried to prepare herself as best she could with a general enchantment as she moved to aid the woman against the attacking ghost.

Finally binding the man to the cat Revalli was able to focus on the upcoming battle a head. Casting her spells with no opposition the mage was as ready as time allowed.

Moving to the location revealed the stranger focusing as glowing chains held the spirit at bay. Of course this seemed to anger the spirit greatly as it screamed in rage mustering its powers to try and break the binds holding it.

Revalli could see the bound spirit shaking with rage, and knew that the stranger wouldn't be able to hold it forever. It lacked a physical form for her to subdue or destroy, and ultimately it was still as much a victim as a monster. Gritting her teeth, the elven mage watched for a long moment, wracking her brain for something that she could do to stop this before it got any worse.

Finally, she reached for her most personal talents, the power of nature itself. She rushed forward and sent a burst of power against the spirit, one meant not to attack its body but to shift it in time. Normally such a spell produced age, but in this case she used the reverse, setting the target back instead of forward. It was never more than temporary, but if she could just remind the spirit of its mortality maybe it would calm itself. "Calm your fury, spirit!" she called, "your rage will bring you no peace! Do not become like the one who has caused your pain!"

That was a little anti climatic.

Rushing forward Revalli unleashed her magical powers. It was a gamble as she had to alter the fundamentals of the spell after all she was targeting a spirit not a body. Still even with the on the fly alterations she managed to easily alter the spell and cast it. It was crude and a energy hog but for something on the fly it worked. Watching the green bolt of energy hit the spirit sending a wave of green threw its body as it dispersed. For the most part the spirit stopped moving and slowly faded away. It wasn't gone Revalli could still feel it but for now it had lost the ablity to manifest and hurt anyone.

Sensing the same the stranger let her magic's fade before looking at Revalli a moment and shouldering her bow. "You know she will just come back. You should have ended her." There was no malice or anger in the strangers voice it was simply a mater of fact tone. "Still that was a neat trick." A moment later Vala came running up weapon drawn and eyeing the stranger before turning to Revalli. "What happened?"
