"Well it will have to be something meaningful to you? OH! I know make it one of your tips for the aspiring heroine!" Jess got up holding her stomach as she rose. "Im not so sure the potion is working Rikke?" Not pausing any longer Jessica proceeded to finish dressing herself and rearming before looking at Rikke. "Which way fearless leader?" Jess gave Rikke a playful wink and waited the rogues response.

It was a good question they had walked kind of blindly away from the fountain and where lost again they would have to find another landmark hopefully devoid of rapist plants.

"Meaningful... meaningful... how about Dresdan?" Jess raised an eyebrow "Dresdan?" Rikke nodded eagerly "Dresdan. Don't ask." a light chuckle escaped the girl. Whatever the meaning of the word was it was left as a mistery for now.

The girls noticed Jessica slight bulge... and it wasn't getting any smaller. "Um... so Jess. What is it? Did I place something inside you... like... literally?" honestly Rikkes expertise on anything medical related was rather lacking to say the least, especially demon anatomy. "All I know the potion should work versus prevention... but if you're... It's been like 5 minutes right. No way." The young rogue was absolutely confounded at her companions current predicament.

"Continue on? You sure?" Rikke glanced down to Jessicas bulge... maybe it was nothing or something temporal. "Well we're kinda lost again." Rikke slowly got back into her gear "So~... we'll take the most decent looking road or go up the highest building. Just like we planned earlier." Rikke smiled warmly at her companion. Unless there was something left here the girls should get moving.

Jess looked down at her slightly bulged form. "Im not sure I do know that some tainted creatures have very advanced and rapid pregnancies. If that was the case then it might be to late to prevent this one but Im hoping it just needs more time to work." Jess looked at the skyline as it where and pointed to a fairly tall building just a few blocks down. "There Rikke that one looks in good shape and its fairly tall."

Rikke looked up to where Jessica pointed. indeed there was a fairly intact building ever so slightly towering abov ethe rest of the ruins. If the girls wanted a good vantage point that should fit the bill.

"Good catch Jess. Guess we got our next objective." Rikke tapped her shortsword "Hopefully we won't breath in any more of that lust pollen in there" giggling lightly the girls proceeded out and towards the tall building.

Even though the building was only 3 or so blocks away the shear amount of destruction inevitably caused them to back track several times. It was maybe on their third of fourth back track when Jess jumped a little startled. "Look over their Rikke!" Jess pointed to a small collapsed shop with nothing in it. "I think I saw a feral dog it was shaggy dirty and not looking to happy with us." Rikke was about to dismiss Jess's claims when some barks echoed around them and from the sound of them they where far from happy barks.

Rikke quickly drew her blade "Something tells me you might be right..." where exactly were the barks coming from? And more importantly just how many of the feral creatures were there. "Don't let them blindside you, the bastards attack in packs." The girl motioned to her companion to draw her blades too.

Chances were they were in for a fight.

"Rikke shouldn't we get our backs to the wall or something?" Jess also drew her blades as she backed up to support Rikke. Given that Jess had spotted one of the feral dogs Rikke new the others would close by.

"Remember that thing I taught you about feeling each other in combat... Hope you paid attention Jess." a slight smirk formed on the rogues face "We get our back to a wall versus then there's no way to dodge their attacks. We'll do this back-to-back..." Rikke scanned the area for any telltale signs of where the attackers might come from.

Well Jess had no choice, but to follow the girls commands as the two of them stood back to back in a small area. "Whatever you do, don't attack first. Wait for the lunge and gut em."

Rikke keeps defensive stance. Counters with single target lightining strikes... those will be REALLY quick strikes.
Jess should either defend or scissor stance.

woot Jess saves the day!

Getting back to back Jess and Rikke slowly circled looking for where ever the feral animals would attack. They didn't have to wait long no sooner had they thought the beasts moved on they came running out of the ruins foaming at the mouth. Two of them lunged at Rikke jaws open but each missed as Rikke used her blade in 6 lighting fast blows that gave each of the feral dogs a nice hair cut but little else.

Two more of the beasts lunged at Jess hitting the succubus dead on but she was ready for them. The first one managed to scratch Jess with its claws before it was beaten back by her counter attack. The other one met Jess blades in mid air and failed to get past her armor. This savage brute also tasted her blades bite but he didn't drop. The small pack of dogs circled the two woman growling dangerously.

Rikke scoffed lightly at her misses, seemed she underestimated the dogs speed and finese. Her opponents were just too fast! And it was rather optimistic to thinks she could land three blows on the dog during it's lunge. Thankfully Jess wasn't quite as greedy with her attacks using her blades to parry more than pure agile dodges like her partner, she landed a few clean stong cuts on the attackers, though did receive light bruises.

The rogue tightened her grip on her shortsword, she'll have to do this the hard way. "Here they come again Jess. Don't let up!"

The beastly dogs seemd hell bent on getting Rikke but she noticed that they where acting diffrent a little more timid in their attacks either way Rikke was ready for them.

Rikke gave out her orders not knowing that Jess had dispatched her foes from earlier looking a bit stunned at the mess she had made but quickly rallied and helped Rikke fend off the remaining two dogs dispatching a critically injured one with twin slashes from her blades leaving one left.

Seemed the dogs picked the wrong girls to pray upon today. Rikkes eye gleamed lightly, the creature even though corrupted was still a mere animal and by now it should realise just how outmatched it was.

While killing a fleeing target always felt wrong, this was a predator. Showing mercy to it may cause harm to someone innocent. Best to dispatch it quickly.

Rikke flicked her short sword from a defensive hold to offense. Time to end this creatures suffering with one surgical slash. The battle was theirs.

Rikke went to strike the fleeing dog but Jess beat her to the punch with a flying dagger ending the rabid dogs life. Smiling at Rikke Jess ran over and gave her a hug. "WE DID IT!" Jess was hoping up and down and her excitement was contagious as the girls did their own victory cheer. Looking over at the situation after a short respite Rikke could see Jess was a little scratched and bruised but other wise alright even though her armor had taken quite the beating it was holding together. Her blades however were soaked in gore and no matter how you diced it (sorry couldn't help it) slashing things with to wicked blades tends to be messy and right now Jess was a very messy girl.

Rikke chuckled lightly at her companions messy appearance "We'll have to work on your finese, Jess." the rogue grinned happily she herself was barely bloodied and her tempered blade was easily cleaned with a stronger flick.

"Come on, stinky, lets go find you something to clean that off." the girls walked cheerfully recalling and complimenting each other on their previous battle. The building was nearby now, perhaps they'll find some old cloth or something soon, blood does not wash off easily.

"Stinky!" Of course Jess made a face but they where soon off leaving the dead dogs behind following a relatively clear path to the building. The building it seemed was an old residential apartment complex about 5 stories tall. One their way to the building she had seen the top two floors had been damaged leaving the bottom three intact which would prove to be a good shelter for anyone or anything to hide in."Oh I heard of these Rikke. They are housing built to hold workers the lower floor is food court sense the all the rooms above have no cooking fires for themselves. The basement is a giant furnace that heats the whole building in the winter. Though we are close enough to the Amazon that winters here are fairly mild." Rikke surveyed the building befor her as Jess showed off her impressive knowledge of random things and wondered if anyone had or is staying in the massive structure.

Rikke blinked a few times at Jess's random spurt of knowledge... though unfortunately that only managed to surprise, but not amaze Rikke "Huh... 'kay" Jess turned to Rikke with a silly frowny face, the rogue wasn't even trying to hide her "amazement". Rikke chuckled lightly at her companion and shrugged innocently "Well on the plus side that means there are rooms in here and where there are rooms there's cloth. We better get you cleaned up... doubt we'll find any water source and don't want you to look like one of those Amazonians." Ah yes~ the stereotype of amazonians coating themselves in blood after a successful hunt, Rikke was keeping it classy. "Come on let's check the rooms."

It didn't take long for them to find a room with some discarded blankets which they promptly cleaned themselves with. The first floor they found was devoid of anything really useful and they soon found themselves climbing the secound floor when Jess let out a groan. "I don't feel so good Rikke." Looking back Rikke could see Jess leaning against the wall her face a nasty looking green. Getting a sudden panicked look in her eyes Jess empties what ever was in her stomach all over the stairs thankfully Rikke was far enough away that she didn't get any spatter. Wiping the side of her mouth with the back of her hand Jess mumbled. "Damn plants" Reaching the second floor Rikke paused a faint noise seemed to be coming from down the hall.

Rikke quickly ran up to Jessica to give her some support to stand "I got you Jess." Was it the gore or perhaps it was it the "gift" the plant her? "Easy now, let's find you a place to lie down for abit." Jessica shook her head "No, I'm fine really. Don't worry." Rikke frowned slightly, no, obviously she was NOT okay, but there were no proper beds on this floor. The heroine had no choice, but go up one more floor perhaps there she could find a spot for her friend.

Unfortunately, chances were the girls would not have the ruined building to themselves as a slight unidentifiable sounds reached Rikkes ear. "In here quickly!" the grils quickly dashed into the nearest room as Rikke stayed at the doorway to peek if she could identify the source of the odd sound.

Rikke pulled Jess in to the room where the sickened girl slowly slide down the wall to a resting position. Hanging near the door Rikke could hear the creature moving not daring to even conceal its presence. As she peaked around the corner she was greeted by a very wet tongue that licked her face and some panting followed by more licking. Jumping back in surprise a domestic dog with a tattered collar and brass name plate bounded into the room sniffed Rikke and walked over to Jess and started licking her as well its tail wagging happily. The Dog had short grey and black fur with its belly being white. It had a blocky head with short floppy ears and was easily 80-100lbs in weight or rather would have been had it been fed a decent meal on a regular basis.

Rikke was pretty much ready to slice the poor doggy up, but stopped after seeing it's friendly disposition. "Hey there boy..." the rogue smiled warmly "Whatcha doing in a place like this." Well this was definedly a surprise! Rikke leaned down to pet the dog which it easily allowed, seemed the pet was rather affectionate towards the two adventurers. "Whats your name boy?" Rikke flipped the brass nameplate, though it was rather hard to make out what it read seemed "Mitty?" Rikke gently turned her head "That's an odd name for a dog." Mitty sat down infront of Rikke and looked at her panting happily and wiggling his tail wildly "Don't think we got anything for you, Mitty." Rikke would give the poor fella something to eat, but all the girls brought for food was some fruit and somekinda fish delicasy the brothel served.

"Jess, you don't look so good. Stay there, I'll go look for a place for you to lie down. Okay?" Rikke turned to her companion with concern, it was getting worse... unfortunately it was probably not the gore...
