The priestess just smiled at Rikke. "You are rather new to the worship of Venus Im I right." Rikke couldn't help but nod. "See Venus only accepts one type of offering and I think you saw me giving one earlier I am I right? It was nice of you to respect my privacy but its best to make such offerings in groups it forges closer bonds to your fellow devotees. Rikke wasn't sure why but she was compelled to look at Jess and just stare. Something had drawn them together. A bond so compelling Jess had given up nearly everything just for Rikke. Subtelty and taste thy name is not of that creature... noting the tone the voice carried Rikke quickly drew her blade "A demon?! In here! Jessica! On your guard! Priestess HIDE NOW!" flipping the blade in her hand Rikke quickly got into her defensive stance "Hey dipshit! You're not supposed to scream out your intents like an idiot! Someone might hear~" Rikke eyed the creature in the sky.... if only she had her revolver upgraded... still looks like it would be fight.

"Leave this shrine now! I'd hate to spill your vile guts in such a place!" Rikkes eyes shined bright icy blue as she watched the demons movements carefully.

"Stay back his touch can corrupt anything." That much Rikke saw with her own eyes as the demon landed on the ground the grass wilted and writhed before turning to dust. Eyeing Rikke and Jess the demon just snorted "Ive come for the priestess don't interfere." The demon took two great strides as the priestess backed away yellow fire coming to light in her hands. "Keep backing up girls" the priestess moved back towards Rikke and Jess hands aglow with holy fire. "Stay where you are trust me." The comment was directed at Rikke and company though whether they listened to the priestess was their own choice. Behind her Rikke could hear Jess stammering "D D DA Demon knight." The demon took to more large steps towards the priestess who simply smiled at his approach no worry evident in her face.

Rikkes sword arm weakened up as the demon showed himself fully, was this really a fight she could take. Though why was the priestess so at ease... "O-okay... I'll be right behind you." the rogue listened to the priestess and allowed her to use whatever magic she deemed fit "Better hurry with that magic..." Rikke eyed the demon knight, her eyes still wide with fear. Was this the upper echelon of the demon army? More importantly why was it here?!

The demon charged far faster than something of its size would be able to muster. However the priestess replied with a blast of holy burning fire that engulfed the demon. Though on fire and burning the demon continued his charge swinging his great sword down only to be rebounded by a shining golden light that surrounded the immediate shrine area. "Damn you Matron this is not over!" With that the demon flew up into the sky causing all sorts of shouts and even gun fire. Looking at the Priestess Rikke was just in time to catch her as she fell back clearly exhausted and very warm to the touch. Still smiling she looked right at Rikke "Good hes gone I feel so tired." Moments later the Old knight from the council meetings came running out with two squires following him. "Matron! quick get her inside we can't let anyone else see her like this you two follow us." Clearly the knight was pointing at Rikke and Jess.

Rikke quickly ran up to catch the priestess who just saved them, such amazing power "Jes--" whatever Rikke was about to say got interupted by the knight rushing in with a few men at his side, Rikke reluctantly gave the priestess over to the men who ever so gently and respectfully carried her off.

The rogue turned to Jessica after the order to follow, as if to double check if she was okay with that and both girls followed the knight to wherever he went. Perhaps the heroine could get some answers of how could there be demons of such power in the middle of the city.

The small group made their way to side of the cathedral to an apparent blank wall. However this was not the case as the old knight used some hidden latch to open a secret door and lead the group inside. After a few sort turns and twists as well as a few flights of stairs the old knight once again opened a secret door that lead to a grand chamber filled with an ornate bed and other furniture. "Set her on the bed and leave I need to discuss what happened with our witnesses."

Usually following armed men to a secret chambers, tended to end badly... but they seemed reliable. The two adventurers followed the knights down to the chambers, just hold old were these passages... more importantly what purpose did these secret chambers serve. Whatever the case, seemed Rikke and Jess were now witnesses... sure she'd answer a question or two, but right now the rogue was the one with burning questions.
